I was seeing different ob/gyn but the wait was getting so ridiculous there that I wanted to start my girls off somewhere new. So I researched and came up with Centennial OBGYN to try. My girls have been seeing him for a few years now and love him. Which says a lot since they are both very different and first timers to these types of appts. So after a few more years of excessive waiting at my dr and then to not even see her I decided to give Dr B a try myself. I love that he is so genuine and truly listens to his clients and cares. I went in to see Dr. Lopez-Benitez after the Ob/Gyn I had been with since I was 16 years old retired. I was interested in getting a different birth control method than the one I was currently using. I wanted something more long lasting. Now unlike some people, I have common sense. I called my insurance company to verify my benefits prior to even scheduling my first appointment with this office. ALL BIRTH CONTROLS ARE CONSIDERED PREVENTATIVE CARE MEANING WITH MOST INSURANCES ESPECIALLY PPO PLANS, COVER EVERYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH ANY FDA APPROVED PREVENTIVE BIRTH CONTOL. AND IT IS COVERED AT 100%. So, I made my appointment/consult, and got the ball rolling for the IUD. Then when calling to confirm my appointment they informed me that I will have to pay 210.00 at the time of service. I asked why, the receptionist said it was like a "good faith" payment. Why would I have to make a good faith payment when I have insurance and my Insurance covers at 100%. So, than I called my insurance back just to make sure of that particular B.C method and the brand is both covered. Sure as shit, yup!!! So, I went back and forth with the office and they said they needed the funds so that they can order the equipment for the placement. Now, I'm getting frustrated, I talked my husband and we decide to put the $210.00 on a credit card so as soon as the claim is processed we will just handle this by starting a dispute and chargeback the office. 2 weeks later I call the office, the claim has not yet been processed, okay no big deal. Than on August 21st I receive the EOB from my insurance stating that.... are you ready for this? IT WAS COVERED AT 100% AND MY INSURANCE SENT THEM A CHECK. So, then I call the office/billing back. They say again the claim has not been processed. Okay, we'll here it is 2 months after, I called my insurance, the check for the entire amount was cleared on 9/5/2019. So I call the billing today (10/2/2019) they state it is still processing. I called bull shit and that I know the claim and check had already been processed. They couldn't help me. So I called the office itself. A young lady chose to actually help me instead of pointing the finger to someone else. However, I've made sure that the appropriate steps have been taken towards the credit card company as well. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS OFFICE. THE DR HIMSELF IS NICE AND GENTLE, BUT THE BILLING PEOPLE ARE JUST IN IT FOR A QUICK BUCK AND IF THATS THE PEOPLE THAT THE DR WANT HIS PATIENTS TO DEAL WITH, THAN IT SEEMS TO ME THAT HE'S ONLY AFTER A BUCK ALSO. I'M NOT UNEDUCATED, I WORK IN THE MEDICAL FIELD, I UNDERSTAND INSURANCES, COPAYS, DEDUCTIBLES, CO-INSURANCES, WHAT IS COVERED AND WHAT IS NOT. The fact that I had to pay ANYTHING before getting a procedure that was covered at 100% was just dumb to me and I should have found another office right then and there, but I paid it because all I could thing was, now I don't have a Dr. I'm out of birth control options and I'm DONE having kids. Another thing that's pissed me off from all of this greed, is I had back procedure and I was making payments and because of the 210.00 that I now had to fork out for this, I was not able to pay on my payment plan until the refund on the money I should have never had to pay. Now they reported me to a collection agency and I took a 40 point hit on my credit score. KNOW YOUR INSURANCE BENEFITS BEFORE YOU CALL THIS OFFICE. Don't pay anything your not suppose to based on the contract between the physicians office and your insurance. read more

He is looking for most expensive ways of treatment. He pushed me to surgery trying to get more money from that. I'm new to the Las Vegas area and was in need of a new OGBYN. I found Dr. Benitez on Zocdoc and he had great reviews so I decided to try him out. I was able to get an appointment within 1 week, which is unheard of these days. Once I arrived at the office with my completed paperwork, I was called back within 5-10 mins. The office staff was nice and friendly. Dr. Benitez was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and answered all questions and concerns I had. This office is amazing. I have been with Dr. Louis-Benitez for three years and he has always been a phenomenal doctor. I was fortunate to have him deliver my youngest ( and last ) daughter. My recent experience was when I had to do my annual check-up, they were more than patient with me when I called to let them know that I was going to more than 20 minutes late . Dr. Lopez is a wonderful doctor because he takes time to explain everything to you, and he makes an effort to target the root cause of your symptoms. There is practically no wait to see him, front desk staff is very nice, you just need to make sure you call various times to get them to respond back, sometimes they forget to call back. But you do get sent text reminders and email reminders of your appointment so you can't forget. I believe the doctor is also bilingual which is a plus. Overall I would definitely recommend him. read more

Dr. Lopez-Benitez is such a great doctor! I've been wanting to try out the Nexplanon since I'm not very good at remembering to take the pill. After some research, I found this doctor who happens to be right next to my house! The ladies at the front are so sweet and make scheduling and paperwork such a breeze. They let you know beforehand about any charges or changes. My first consultation with Dr. Lopez-Benitez was also a great experience! He informed me of all the different contraceptive options in detail, and helped me feel comfortable with my decision. Today, I had my insertion and unfortunately, he wasn't feeling too well. Even through his migraine and allergies, he performed a great procedure. He let me know how to take care of everything for the next few days and to come back if any problems arise. UPDATE: I just got the Kyleena IUD inserted today and even though it wasn't the best feeling, I think the Dr. did great at making the experience as comforting as possible. I was referred over to Centennial Hills Ob/Gyn by a family friend and I am so grateful for it! Everything from start to finish with my appointment and time there was an extreme pleasure! The office was extremely clean. The staff in the front office were so friendly and extremely helpful. Most importantly, my time with the doctor was the first time I ever felt that I was not rushed. He took his time with me and went through my entire history before he did the exam. He seemed extremely genuine and can tell that he took a lot of pride in his work. He immediately started an action plan for what I originally came in for which made me feel at ease. Another good thing this office does is that they call my pharmacy to get my prescription ready. I know it may be small but I really hate that some doctors still give the paper prescriptions. I tend to be very forgetful and lose things easily so it's one less thing for me to worry about. They also provide an online portal which give you your results and a way to message the doctor if there is ever a non-emergency question. I also loved the follow up's with the office. Typically, doctors office believe in the "no news is good news" rule but I definitely prefer to know everything going on - good or bad and I loved that they call even just to say everything came back normal. Overall, extremely excited to have found Dr. Lopez-Benitez. The staff there I can say was amazing I came in 2 hours early for my appointment and they were still able to see me and it was no hassle at all. I found this one online and luckily they accept my new insurance so I made an appointment to be seen. This was an awesome decision on my part. This review is about three years over due. Dr. Lopez has got to be the worst obgyn doctor in town. My first visit was horrible from the start. Staff is rude and act annoyed that you're in the office. Dr. Lopez said I needed to have a surgery and should save some eggs to find a friend to carry my baby for me. And I could end up needing to have a hysterectomy if surgery went bad. Luckily I didn't listen to him and went to another doctor for a second opinion. Turns out it was an easy surgery and I now have my son thanks to the other doctor. Please avoid him at all cost. And whatever he tells you please get a second opinion. I would give zero stars if I could. I've heard from two other women how to tried to ruin their lives with unnecessary procedures. read more

For the love of GOD please read. I moved here last year and saw Dr Lopez around this time I came to his office with a sense of urgency. I am BRCA1 I told him that I was suppose to do my surgery removing my ovaries & Fallopian tubes prior to moving but couldn't because of the move. I told him I need my surgery right away, my previous Dr from another state fax my records, he didn't bother to look at my records & he said there is a whole procedure I have to do, you need a pap smear and ultra sound. I was like what! he was basically wasting time it's like a time bomb waiting to go off when your BRCA1 time can mean going from no cancer to stage 4. Basically 2-3 months went by his rude security that sat to the left when you walk in was always nasty, very low class & told me the very last time I called, that if he needed to see me that they will call me. I was like. "What are you talking about I'm BRCA1 I need my surgery I was even crying because 2 weeks had gone by after he sent me for a mammogram that had nothing to do with removing my ovaries & Fallopian tubes. The secretary knowing how upset I was crying processed to tell me that I couldn't make an appointment & hung up on me. Next thing you know I get a letter saying that they have terminated me as a patient. This Dr is a monster I came in with a scenes of urgency & he played with my life. I had to start work & was not able to get insurance until after 90 days so more than 6 months went by with no surgery then Covid-19 happened and I was not able to see a Dr until June & that's when I walked into this amazing Dr office and told him I was BRCA 1 without having any of my records he said I believe you & started the process to get the surgery going. Why did Dr Lopez not see any urgency in getting me on an operating table right away.????? Why did he allow months to go by???? Because he's a monster & he should get his license taken away from him. Finally I had my surgery 3 weeks after my first visit from with my new Dr they found microscopic cancer cells on my ovaries & Fallopian tubes. My Dr had told me that this had just developed about 4-5 months ago meaning it was caught early but couldn't have spread so I needed a second surgery which was a hysterectomy and Chemotherapy sessions. So if this had developed just months ago this means that all this could've been prevented if Dr Lopez had done his job & duty as a doctor. Dr Lopez has ruined my life. Don't let him ruin yours. For the love of God don't trust him. You don't want to end up like me, it would've just been a simple procedure taking out my ovaries & Fallopian tubes instead I had to endure a second surgery a hysterectomy & Chemotherapy because Dr Lopez didn't care enough about me to do the surgery in the first place. This was my second and LAST visit to Dr. Lopez-Benitez for an annual Pap smear. I wanted to discuss Peri-menopause with him and asked several times to have my hormone levels tested, he refused, dismissing me by saying "Why even check it, it won't change my mind about anything". He was not interested in my concerns in the slightest. When I did push him to answer my questions, he rolled his eyes. Ladies we have more choices out there and I personally think that given a choice, we should choose someone that takes the time to answer our questions, especially when it comes to reproduction. It felt like going back into a 1950's Dr. office. His staff was also rude, short and unconcerned. They were too busy with their personal phone calls to take care of patients. read more

I saw Dr Lopez-benitez twice. Once for my annual and the second time because they didn't do the sampling for the annual correct the first time. Despite this error and the inconvenience on my part to come back for the procedure, I was charged for the second visit. The nerve! I disputed the charge and was told he would not retract it. I called his biller today because I was issued a payment card by my insurance for medical expenses and thought I'd just give up & pay it so it doesn't hurt my credit only to find out he doubled the amount on the invoice. Beware ladies! This doctor has unethical invoicing practices. I will be calling the BBB and medical board about this. read more

I decided to switch Drs this year for my annual exams and I'm so glad I did! I called many offices and this one stood out from the rest! Making the appointment was fast and easy. They also send you text reminders which I think is great. Upon arrival the staff greeted me with a smile and I instantly felt comfortable. I waited maybe 10-15 mins at most. Switching from a female to male doctor, I was feeling a little nervous but Dr. Lopez was nice, attentive and gentle! They sent my prescription straight to my pharmacist which is so convenient. I called to make an appointment with Dr. Benitez. I was told by Adrianna that he does not accept Medicare insurance. I also have a secondary insurance. I was very surprised. I recently moved here from L.A.. We have excellent doctors all over L.A. All I keep hearing about Las Vegas, is that there is a major problem finding a good doctor. I have never experienced any doctor that doesn't accept Medicare. I guess that Dr. Benitez does not want to treat women of all ages! This is very sad and disappointing. read more

Do not go here if you have your own insurance! Even if you know your insurance covers you 100% they will make you pay upfront and "when the insurance pays them they will refund you" and well that will never happen. They will keep your money and the insurance money! Please save yourself a headache and don't even deal with this ppl! I went back in August when it was time to remove my nexplannon and insert a new one. First off all they told me they couldn't do it in the same visit that first they had to do the removal first then 2 weeks later the insertion. They made me pay over $200 each visit. Since he was a professional I believed in them and that I would get back my money In a few weeks. It's been almost a year and nothing! My insurance paid them I showed them the EOB and they keep saying my insurance didn't. By the way the girl in charge of their billing is extremely rude! It's almost $500 that is owed to me and she expects me to not be upset! I will for sure not return to this doctor EVER! But I will make sure I get my money even if it means going in person and calling my insurance right in front of them! Keep on reading the reviews!
