Small park with a couple of ponds, large grassy area, few paved walking trails, bathroom facilities. Bandstand / amphitheater - waiting for summer concert series to make it come alive! New parking lot - glad they finally paved a black top one. A muddy mess on a rainy day when you had to park your car on the grass - no more! A few benches to sit and enjoy the evening breeze and catch up with a dear, long time, friend tonight. We walked our dogs along the paved pathways. Several folks enjoying the warm evening outdoors sitting on folding chairs or blankets. Kids playing catch. Playground area on one side. A decent, clean, neighborhood park.

Bassett Park is a very small town park at the corner of Bassett and Klein Rd in Williamsville. The…read moremain feature of the park is a grandstand where a variety of different weekly concerts are held in the summer. The grandstand was expanded last year and at the same time the parking area was as well. The main occupants of the park seem to be ducks, geese, and what looks like a local school track team that can be seems frequently running around the park. A couple of years ago an art sculpture was placed in the park. I personally think it's placed too far back to be thoroughly enjoyed. To me it looks like kids 'pick up sticks', for those that remember them. It's suppose to be thought provoking and that's my thought. Come in the summer and check out the concerts!

It's a lovely nature preserve-style park way out in the middle of nowhere, between Lancaster and Alden, below Clarence and way above Elma. If that doesn't mean anything to you, don't worry. I live right next to this park, relatively speaking. I just drive straight down Ransom from near my house, and I'm there. It's a wonderfully convenient thing for me because the park is really great. It's pretty bleak in the winter, but in the summer it's wonderful. It's also massive... much bigger than people realize. The convenience makes me want to give it a 5, and I love coming here, but compared to my fave spots in WNY, this is more like a 4 star park. It's secluded with winding trails and wildlife and lots of people walking dogs and such. I may bring Starlight and My Son here one of these days, I need to buy some kitten harnesses first. How adorable will that be. Very solid 4 stars for a lovely place to go.

I came out to Knox for the Borderland Music Festival. Now I know it's completely different when…read morethere is something happening but I had to talk about the beauty of this park. First off, I feel like the walking trails here are nice. More markers would be cool, but I like the ease of the trails. They have a dog park too which is great. I can't wait to come back with my pup before the snow and have her run around too. Everything is very open which makes it even more awe-inspiring and beautiful on a summer day. I also love all of the old architecture here too with the old stables, main house, etc. It really feels like a different place when you step foot on property. LIke being transported through time almost. The music festival was awesome here. I think the lay of the land, the older buildings, and the beauty of the park really amplify the event and make it feel even better than other possible locations in the area. I will definitely be back to visit the park, and back for the music festival.

It is about a half mile from Williamsville East high school and is more of a neighborhood park. There are Pickleball courts and large fields. Very few trash cans which makes walking your dog and picking up after him a little unpleasant. The fields do not drain very well so if you show up after a recent rainfall, it's a bit soggy and very buggy. If the neighborhood has seen her dry spell, the park is very pleasant. When there are soccer games or other organized sports activities, the parking spaces fill up quickly. There are no bathrooms at this park.

Being of polish heritage; curiosity had brought me to see changes; since covid; first hit. I loved the archway when you walked in; and was pleasantly surprised to see new food vendors. Great addictions were Mazureks Bakery, Bacik vendor, who has her own cooking show on Sundays in the evening , and Polish Cadets. Learned in addition, how the polish decorative eggs are made and the work and skill that goes into it. The rest of the festival was the same status quo. Liked how one didn't feel crowded in the food tent. Great job organizers.

There are no…read moredogs allowed signs posted all around the park, but there's also places to dump your doggy bags. I'd say if you bring your pet, be sure to keep them staked or on a leash! There is a tennis net, volleyball net and basketball court. There's also a playground and plenty of shelters. Usually there are soccer or baseball games going at the entrance of the park, but it never seems to get overcrowded. If you're looking for a green area, here you have it!

Its a quiet, remote park with a variety of landscapes - open fields, forest, and a large creek. I am not sure how extensive the trails are since I was here alone and didnt feel comfortable venturing too far out, but they looked well maintained. The boy scouts also have a small fenced in butterfly garden here. The park is owned by the town of Clarence, but unlike the other parks in Clarence, this one is supposed to be open to all Erie County residents.

A lot of work had been done just recently, as we saw Tree trunks and pieces moved from one spot to another to clear the trails. We got out to the baseball field then continued walking the trail. Outside the trails through the woods were a LOT of Flickers [woodpecker]. We've never been to any area where we saw so many flickers before on the Trees or ground. At one time there were seven of them on the ground! Be very careful because while we were deep within the woods, apparently I was bit by a wasp. Heard NO sign of wasps and we did NOT venture off the trail, but at one time within the first 20mins within the park, I was bit by something within my pants. Later at home I could see what was later identified as a wasp sting. I heard NO buzzing or anything, but apparently it got into my pant leg as I could feel something inside my trousers. Otherwise WE enjoyed being out in the Nature that is western New York and Pine Woods Park! I WAS disgusted to see that the woods trail and most of the open areas were littered with human filth and trash. Please everyone, YOU are part of the solution AND/or problem!! Please teach your kids to NOT litter! I put my trash while in the outdoors into my right back pocket, and when home or where there's an outdoor trash bin, it gets transferred to that. Also, kids learn from who they are with, or via their home environment, so if everyone around them trashes our parks, streets etc, then they will too. They learn from experiences. Please pick UP your trash or better yet, DO NOT LITTER OUR PARKS! I saw a lot of people walking their pets. I have seen a lot of pet owners at other western New York parks litter disgustingly with their pet poop. Either they leave the poop so YOU can step in it, or they pick it up, then when nobody is around, they throw it in bushes or leave their bag of pet poop in plain sight. IF you are a pet owner and do this, you are a disgusting person who should be fined, jailed and do community service picking up cigarette butts and dog poop off the streets! YOU should have your pet taken away and given to a true animal lover who will respect others, parks and other natural areas, and their pet, and NOT leave their poop out!

All the restrooms were mysteriously locked even though it's still summer, but there's a couple of port-a-potties. I wouldn't make a special trip, but it's a solid neighborhood park aside from the closed restrooms.
