Lest you think it's only due to personal relationship, Paul is also an instructor at Brown. Who better to perform eye surgery? That said, the overall experience was very positive, from scheduling to the exam process, then surgery, then billing question follow up. The actual surgery is done in batches, almost assembly-line styler. That may sound negative, but the staff was very attentive to all patients' personal needs and kept the process extremely organized so my mind was at ease knowing I was in good hands. Kudos to all the staff for a job well done! This office is highly recommended.

I used to see one of the founding doctors years ago when I was young, as I've had eye issues all of my life. It was easy to schedule my appointment as I was still in their system after what had to be 8 or 12 years! They went over my insurance with me and explained what I'd be expected to pay at my first visit. I was able to get an appointment scheduled about two weeks out, but that was partly because my own work schedule is busy! I arrived about 10 minutes early and completed some simple paperwork. I was the only one in the waiting room and right on time was greeted by Dr. Michaud, an OD at the practice. My exam was thorough but quick, which was really great as I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I was able to get a pair of contacts in my new prescription to wear home and ordered a few months worth to be delivered to my house - super convenient. Check out was simple and easy. They do have an optical shop on premises which is convenient, but I chose to keep my old frames and they do charge a fee on top of the lense replacement charge if you aren't purchasing new ones through them. I elected to shop around for prices, so I didn't spend too much time in the shop. The doctor and staff were friendly and helpful and the practice was very clean. I had a great experience and will continue to visit them in the future.

Having had gone to the same doctor since 5th grade when squinting was no longer an option, I was sad and nervous about having to find someone new. Someone who knew nothing about me or my endeavors with eyesight. The Center for Sight was recommended to me by a co-worker. After putting it off for a while, I decided it was time for the world to come into focus and made an appointment. My old office was located in a small, quaint building. . . so when I pulled up to this oversized, renovated, historic mill in Fall River, I was intimated and lost. After finding the parking lot located in back of the mill and walking up one flight of stairs near an old smoke stack, I walked into a transformed floor of the mill and felt much more at ease. There are several MDs and ODs located in this office. I see Cristina M. Lopes, O.D. and recommend her with much enthusiasm. I have had two appointments with her over the past 2 years and am very satisfied with the care I received. She takes time to review your health and social history, your vision concerns and needs, and does a great job explaining everything throughout the whole examination. She's very sociable and puts you at ease. I'm usually concerned about overcorrection with my eyesight. . . I'm not a fan of feeling queasy while adjusting to a new prescription. I'm always provided with a sample script of my contacts to trial prior to ordering a year's supply online, which is something I was not provided with at my old place. This past visit, I decided to order a new pair of frames along with my new prescription. The staff on duty to help with this process are fantastic. Without the support of a friend or family member to help choose a new adornment for my face, they provided a much needed helping hand. They listened to what I was looking for, didn't get frustrated when I decided what I wanted was really not what I was originally looking for, and were as excited as I was when I finally found a pair I liked. They were well versed in explaining what my insurance would cover and were very flexible with downpayment options and pricing. And, whether they meant it or not, their praise over how good the glasses looked on when I received my final pair, gave me a huge boost of self esteem and the confidence to wear them more often than I do. Only 4 stars due to location and difficulty parking/finding the actual office. 5 stars for the staff and services they provide!

The doctor fixes me right up I got new prescription and ever since I haven't had the eye pain or headaches that was having for decades going to my old doctor. Great experience at this Target Optical location. I was here solely to find new frames as I see an…read moreoptician elsewhere for my exams. Normally, I buy frames at my optician's office but decided to shop around this time for a deal. Glad I did! There is a decent collection of frames here. Not a ton to choose from but enough of a selection that I was able to try on a few options I was interested in. Sales associates were available but not pushy. After I had some time to look on my own, the associate offered her assistance based on the criteria I had in mind. I was able to land on a fun pair of Cranberry-colored wire frame glasses. At a great price too! The associate worked to find me the best deal. The optical store was running a promotion at the time that would have saved me a lot of money on the frames. Fortunately, my eye health insurance offered a slightly better deal. I was concerned about how the thick the lenses would look in such a delicate frame. I wavered back and forth between spending the extra money to reduce the thickness of the frames. It was a significant difference. Not knowing what to do, the associate offered that if I was unhappy with the look of the cheaper option, I could simply pay what was left of the extra cost to get them replaced. Decision made. Within a week or 2 my new frames were ready. The thickness of the lenses was no bother and I didn't need to spend the extra money. It was nice to know though that I wasn't stuck with them if I hated them. The associate quickly fitted the eyeglass arms to my ears and I was on my way. They were very supportive in how the final frame looked. Pleasant experience, easy to work with.

Not a fan at all. Asked them 4 times if there is a copay…read moreover the phone, 4 times I was assured there wasn't. Arrived there, " and the copay is $X amount, will that be cash or card?". Um, neither. I explained I asked 4 times over the phone that were was apparently nothing to pay when I got there. "Don't worry, sorry about that!" Nope, apparently now I do, because now I'm getting letters in the mail asking for it. And to top it off, both my daughter and I didn't get the same eye tests. She got tested for this, I didn't get that test? Shouldn't the eye test be uniform, as in the same for every person, every time? The lady who fixes glasses, helps with picking out frames etc, she was great, no issues there. Just the rest of the outfit. One person says this, another does that.
