If you know Dakota she never wants to miss a beat in her steps not because of her letting her self down but she never wants to let a teacher down. Michelle always tells these girl's it is okay not to be perfect. This year has been a tough year on Dakota in the dance world and she finds her comfort with in the studio. Brylee and Mrs Tori have been amazing this past year as well. Brylee use to be the Captain at LHHS for two years and has taken the time one on one with Dakota to show her support and has been an amazing role model and friend to Dakota. *Updating this review to mention that if I had any ounce of thought to continue with this studio, it has gone out the window after reading the owner's rude and condescending reply to my review. I reached out via email last night explaining the issue and never received a response, I suppose because they're more concerned with their public image on Yelp than helping families. After reading this response, I'm pretty disgusted with the management of this studio. I am beyond upset and disappointed in the studio after what happened to my daughter during class last night. She loved her class last year when her instructor was Nicole, but this year she got Maggie. I've watched the class as Maggie pays zero attention to my daughter and instead focuses on the other girls who are doing really well. She didn't help my daughter as she struggled to learn the dance, she would just yell at her in front of the other girls and simply tell her to keep up. Last night, My daughter got frustrated during class tonight because she felt like she wasn't keeping up with the rest of the girls, so she cried and looked very defeated when I picked her up. After class, Maggie asked to speak with me privately in which she made it very clear that she doesn't want my daughter to return to her class. She said that the other girls are having fun and working hard while my daughter is always crying. She said she only wants dancers who will have fun and work hard. I'd also like to note that I've watched Maggie's interactions with my daughter while in class and she visibly ignores her and doesn't engage with her like she does the other girls. We had a great season last year when Eliana was in Nicole's jazz class, but unfortunately this year has been very disappointing. I'm incredibly upset with Maggie and her comments to me tonight, so we don't plan on returning. I would feel too uncomfortable sending my daughter back after we were indirectly told it'd be best for the class if she doesn't return. Unfortunately, I've already paid for the recital, the costume, and the tuition for March, so I guess I'll have to eat those costs. read more

Had a great experience with Center Stage hosting our 3yr old's princess themed birthday party. Tory, the dance instructor, and Aikmin, her assistant were great. They really made it easy. They took care of the table and chairs set up, proposed and executed a party schedule that included a story, dance class, craft time, an obstacle course, and then food and cake. Our party got a bit of a late start and ran a little overtime, but they didn't seem to stress. It was a great experience! read more

My daughter was a young teen and went for a summer hip hop class that was for all ages . Decent teacher, but not much to learn bc it was catered for the young kids mostly . We were told the fall class is by age and would be better. It was not. They had a teacher that did not specialize in Hip Hop and then a long term student ( also a teen ) with a broken arm that was in pain teaching it. She danced really well when her arm wasnt hurting. We stopped going and didnt attend. I was billed regardless for the next month. I still havent paid bc Ive been weighing why i should pay for a class that should have a professional teacher teaching instead of a talented student with a bad injury doing her best. The class had the teen while injured teaching at times until she had a school related commitment and then the teacher that knew little to nothing about Hip Hop . Other students stopped going as well. My daughter is dancing with the studio 6 years now and felt as a family and everything went well. But this year we were not happy with the parking and the location. Today, as usual, we tried to drop off her, but no parking and parents are busy in and out, the location has no outlet. We stopped at the auto place, but the guy came to me to say we can't park there (even a second) so it really turned me down. The studio should at least can be in and out two way drive not end dead. They should make classes 15-20 minutes apart so that we won't have so much issue dropping or picking up our kids. We love the owner, Michelle, but felt really bad when someone came to us to say that we can't just stop/park there for a second to drop off or pick up like we are so stupid. It was really crazy today but of course been this way for years, but those guys never come to tell us as they did today. We just need some space for dropping off smoothly! I know we can park another side of the road but why can't just have an option to drop off and leave. Sometime we do not have that much time, we have work and things to do, if we have to park and walk cross the rode it will take like 10 minutes (both way). We can't just let my kid walk alone due to the safety. Last year and maybe two years ago there're scary incident someone tried to do carjack at the parking lot in front of the studio, this is also one reason we cant let our kid walk alone. I don't know if we will continue next year if they don't make anything different. We just need space to drop off and pickup, we don't stay there to watch because the parking lots are limited plus the Covid-19 situation. read more

They have homeschool classes during the days hours which is great. However the teacher my daughter had was not very good. She ignored my daughter and only paid attention to the best students of the class. She didn't take time to help the kids who needed help; they were left struggling week to week with no help. Definitely not coming back here. read more

My little girl LOVES coming to her ballet/tap classes at Center Stage! She loves her dance teacher so much, and asks when she gets to go do dance on the days she doesn't have class. The studio is cute, always clean, and the staff is amazing! My daughter already has learned so much in her first year of dance, and I can't wait to see her grow up dancing here. read more

Love this studio, and I especially love the owner! My daughter was one of the first students and today she is an amazing dancer, and an overall amazing person. It is not lost on me that dance has been a huge factor is shaping her life. She recently won Ms. Danceline USA and scholarship. We've been dancing here for 6 years now...my niece a couple years before that. With 2 daughters in classes, a son who took hs first hip hop class here as a 4yo , and Mommy classes from everything from tap to yoga/pilates-esque, what's NOT to love? Flexibility and a super nice staff keep us coming back year after year. read more

I write this review as a person with experience at 8 different dance studios (military family) to say that this place is the worst ever. The award they win for best in CP/L area could only be because of the lack of other studios around & getting friends to vote. 3/4 of the hip-hop class dropped out during the year,maybe due to threats & intimidation by the teacher. Other classes never started on time because the teachers are never there on time. Maybe they can't find parking either. The recital was so so sad but the award for the TACKIEST thing I have ever seen goes to this place for passing bags (at the recital) to collect money to give the teachers spa days. Let see, parents pay class fees,recital fees,have to buy different shoes & tights for each class & then you pass the bags collecting money. Here's a thought--if YOU want to give your teachers spa days maybe YOU should pay for it. read more

Teachers are nice, owner is responsive to concerns and my daughters have both attended here and loved it. You know what to expect from the beginning- no surprises money wise like some other places. Reasonably priced. A variety of classes and schedules, and make up sessions usually available if you have to miss due to illness etc. Right now my 5 year old is excited about a recital that is still 3 months away! read more

My daughter has danced/cheered at Center Stage Cedar Park for 5 years now and she still loves it!! She has taken ballet, hip hop and cheer over the years and has been in their competitive cheer program now for the 4th year. Three of the four years we have competed at Sea World, we have taken first place in our level! The staff and teachers are super friendly and the owner, Michelle, is always available if you have questions or concerns. I would for sure recommend Center Stage to anyone looking for dance classes for their daughter (or son) and plan to be there until she is ready to move on! read more

I called and asked if my 7 y/o daughter could register this late in the season (March) for a Jazz class. I brought my daughter, she loved the class, but was asked to sit in a corner during the recital practice. I get that the girls are practicing, but I asked afterward if she could practice behind them or some how participate in the full class so that she is not left out. I was told YES so I went out and bought the outfit, the shoes, etc. I was just called - the night before the next class - and told NO, she can't participate. That's fine, but why the heck could you not have just told me that upfront? Save me the time, save me the trouble. I asked if it was too late to sign up for this particular class and was told no, not too late. I buy the gear and now it's too late? That's just bad business and now I have a child who is in her bedroom crying her eyes out. She is very disappointed. Perhaps we'll try again here next year. Center Stage is a great neighborhood dance studio! My daughter started there three years ago when she was three. Now she is part of one of the competition dance teams. I have 3 Daughters and we started at Center Stage when they 1st opened. We LOVE Center Stage. The teachers are really good and good with the kids, my Daughters LOVE their teaches. Last year they started an Adult Ballet Class and I joined as well and love being in ballet. They have really good schedules as well, we never have issues finding a class time & day to meet our needs.
