They are very organized as far as getting the attendees to their seats. They are also very friendly. We found the place to be very clean and the chairs pretty comfortable. Our tickets were for the C section which was seated further and higher. I thought this was perfect for the performance we were seeing. I will have to keep this place in mind for future shows. I would recommend the theater. Street parking is available and not too far away is a parking garage. Be aware of where you park, watch for timed parking signs.

Back in September, I coordinated a group of almost 20 guests to attend "Trouble Man: feat. l Young" on October 4th. On the 1st, I tried to add more guests to our party but the event was no longer listed on their website. On October 2nd, we were provided unfortunate news that our show on October 4th had been cancelled as one of the female vocalists coming from out of town had caught pneumonia, and that sales of that particular show with 3 days to go were extremely low. But Margi was very communicative, and had processed our refunds in a timely manner, and was an absolute pleasure to deal with when I spoke with her to purchase our group tickets. I would patronize OTC again without hesitation, and look forward to seeing a future performance there. Kudos to OTC for amazing box office staff!

We always brought picnics and shared with our group in the past. It can get chilly but we've always brought blankets and jackets so it's not too bad. This last time I went for the play Cher. My friend reserved us a table and we ordered food. I had heard so many great things about the grilled cheese vendor that had been there in years past so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, they are no longer there, so that was a bit disappointing. The choices are limited and prices are pretty high for what you get with the new vendor. So, I'll either eat beforehand or bring my own to future events. Otherwise, all the plays I have seen have been colorful and well done. The bands have been fun presenting a wide variety of music. Avo Playhouse is a repurposed movie theatre in Vista...a very cool revitalized area with quite a few restaurants and at least 3 breweries within just a couple blocks. We saw the Beatles tribute band "Ticket to Ride". Our tickets were reasonably priced and the venue is small enough (seating for under 400) that there really aren't any bad seats. As a bonus, I was really happy that the bathrooms were large and clean. Only real disappointment was that there were no refreshments. It would be nice to have something simple, maybe just water, coffee, and tea? Definitely worth going back! BTW there's lots of free parking nearby.

Parking is pretty easy with plenty of street and nearby options, and there are great restaurants around the area, perfect for dinner before an evening show. Ice cream too! Perfect location, right?! Snacks and various drinks are available before the performance, tickets are reasonably priced and easy to purchase online, and the staff is friendly. Many are volunteers and they are so sweet! The productions are high-quality and thoughtfully done. I recommend for a great night of theater. They even have musicals, so I may return for one later this year, or maybe for a comedy.

There's a spacious lobby with a bar, although they only had one person on the bar and it was slow going. At the box office (inside) they just asked for our name and didn't bother seeing the tix on my phone. Staff were friendly. The theater itself is small. They allow drinks in that you've purchased there. (No food, although I watched one woman open a bag of crackers). The usher sent us to the wrong row, causing confusion and the letters on the end of the rows weren't obvious. There are several bathrooms, including a couple of non-gender ones. Free parking can be found at the train station behind the theater. The play we saw, 'Matt and Ben' was not great. I give it 2/5. The cast wasn't what I was expecting and it wasn't that funny, they dropped f-bombs all the time and I was ready for it to end after about 15 minutes.

But I come here for work and in the weeks I spend in the area I WANT to dance. So last year (2023) I just dropped by and asked to join a group class. They were more than welcoming and made me feel comfortable in the class at my current level. Well tonight I came back after some time away and the lady at the front greeted me (remembering me!) and the instructors were amazing just like last time. I can say I highly recommend! If I lived here full time, I'd be a full time student without any doubt. Thanks!

Just received my 2nd grade son's star testing back and he is reading at a 5th grade level 9 months…read moreinto the school year! I met with his teacher and she said he's one of the best in the class with their reading tests for comprehension. His spelling continues to improve as well. He's getting recognized by classmates for being intelligent. His general demeanor with school is relaxed and happy this year. It's such an enormous improvement since he began working with Elizabeth. I'm so grateful Elizabeth facilitated this growth. She's changed his school experience for the better. Took us about 9 months of diligently following her program and it's not only caught him up to grade level but launched him ahead. Well worth it!

Under Elizabeth's tutelage I have watched my daughter really blossom and become a more confident, and efficient reader. Elizabeth is not only kind and patient, but also firm, which is exactly what my daughter needs to hold her attention!
