He and his staff were partners in the care of our canines; never once disappointed in device, advice or technique. Even when it came to his referral to "Michael E. Newman, DVM, MS" for Buddy-Spencer's "Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO)" surgery out-of-town about 60 miles away. Boy, what a week. But with DR. Newman's SKILL and DR. DAN WHITLOW's leadership & stewardship Buddy (@age 9) came out the winner: the perfect outcome. More importantly, I am of the camp that believes that a great veterinarian can bring solace to the family through enlightenment. What I learned from this is each Dr. is adamant that most ordeals with pets can be resolved through diet. This was true and crucial in Buddy's recovery. Bud's life expectancy was 10-12 years. MS veterinary school isn't even the top 30 of veterinarian schools. We seen Emerald Barrett, D.V.M her voice was so calming and she educated me on my first pup ever and what could have possibly caused him to have a seizure. After we got home, he had some treats and I opened up his Valentine's Day box from Bark Box and gave him his toys early. He was back to himself. Today, he started back barking and he hadn't barked in over 2 weeks. He isn't a dog that barks much, only when I'm preparing his food he likes to bark at me. So this morning he was back to barking and running through the house. He is feeling much better. I will be using them from now own due to the location and office hours that work with my work schedule. They know their business and sent my 7 lbs. of baby dog home with full recovery information. When I insisted on getting a "cone of shame" I was told "she won't need one". I thought the Doctor was insane and purchased one anyway. I did not need it! I have had many animals and it was a first to have an incision so clean she never touched it. Not once! We are so thrilled that she recovered so fast and comfortable. She had her stitches out and the surgery area is clean and happy.
