Center Street Promenade is a hidden gem in North Orange County and not too far from places like Disneyland, Downtown Fullerton, and The Packing House food hall. You will find many cool events there, weekly farmers market, and a collection of local businesses. I love the Center Street Promenade area. This area has really built itself up over the years as a legit little center with good eats, nice little shops, great fountains and decor strewn about as well as hosting a farmers market that many say is one of the best around. I have been through this area numerous times and enjoy looking at the various shops that line the street. The Cheese Shop is one of those places I can definitely see me and my wife coming to quite often as she is a cheese fanatic and with so many options this store can be dangerous to our pocket books. The food options here are also a nice and diverse lineup. You have Cervantes Mexican Kitchen serving up taco's and other Mexican food fare, Healthy Junk for those of you who are of the vegan/vegetarian nature and Delifornia serving out their blend of subs and soups, All of these little restaurants within the food court have friendly service, good pricing and are really opening up peoples eyes to this area even more. Parking is usually easy to find either on the street curb or within the parking structure (2 hours free). This is a great place to come and walk around, sit on a bench and just watch the fountain or even park and walk over to MuZeO to check out their amazingly well put together exhibits ($10). I stopped by the Center Street Promenade for the first time with my husband on Saturday night to check out the Rothick Art Haus for their featured art. There really isn't a whole lot of stores to browse and shop at in this area to be honest and most of the stores don't seem to open late... so definitely not a place I see myself making a special trip for. But there are some eateries around the area though if you are looking for a bite to eat, like PokiNometry and The Gypsy Den (both are pretty good restaurants to dine at by the way). The lofts that are located in this area looks pretty expensive, but I am sure would be great to live in. There is also some random art structures around that are kind of interesting to look at here. There is 90 minute street parking off of Harbor and also free parking in the structures by the turn around area. read more

Anaheim is a really nice part of the country. The weather is beautiful, no insects, great Mexican fare and plenty of Asian too. The houses are beautiful and the lawns are perfectly coiffed as a rule. It's really nice here. I get why so many people live here. And then, then... there's Disneyland. Ugh. YMMV, (your mileage may vary). Lets increase the already bad California traffic, add in a bunch of lame-ass restaurants like Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. -- I promise you will never get a nickel of my money -- and all of the nasty tourism that comes with it. The world needs another plastic trinket made in some Chinese village and all the kiddies will have a nice set of Mickey ears to wear to bed, right? Are we great yet? So what's good around the city? This, Center Street Promenade. Three blocks of heaven only 5 minutes away from the perfect little white princesses, animated animals and screaming small children. A breath of fresh air, and yet the tourists will likely never find it. Good for us. A world class coffee joint (Ink and Bean), phenomenal vegan fare at Healthy Junk (I'm not even vegetarian and I stop here every year), a couple of cool vibe Mexican joints, street patios with comfortable chairs, a few odd stores like a vintage comic book place and more, various other restaurants and retail shops. I want to just move onto this block and stay here. It's a million miles from the maddening Disney crowd, yet a five minute drive away---depending on traffic from said theme park. Look, if you're visiting you're likely here for something going on at the massive Anaheim Convention Center. Do yourself a favor. After a day of THAT, pop up here for a few brews, some chow, some down time, gaze upon the palm trees, walk over to the Library. This is urban planning as it should be. Take something and make it better. How good is it here? I'm here annually for a large trade show at previous named location. Next year I'm going to find an airbnb within the block or walking distance and making this home base. Yea, it's that good. That's how much I like this little slice of heaven. Im a local who comes regularly. I'm so glad they opened upper seating with the new grassy area and umbrellas. The sidewalks are still too crowded by Chimney Cakes. They need to eliminate all the big old signs that further crowd the sidewalks and just have the owners post their things ON their business window. There is some misuse of space where there's a bench that could possibly house 2-3 bistro tables with chairs instead. Same by the Shin Sen/ Restroom - there's some "artwork" there but it should temporarily be removed to accommodate all the seating demand. Second, we sat here for like 2 hours and no one wiped them down on this side of the street. Someone was wiping tables down regularly though on the grass area. A good power wash on the sidewalk would be good one of these days too. Looking kinda run down and grimy. Other than that, we love coming here. Just needs a little more attention. read more

This place has definitely gotten a new face lift over the past few years. It is definitely becoming more of a hipster place and that is great because this place was so dead before all the new changes. There are now more little shops, great eats, and a even a yoga place. I love the fact that there is a barber shop that will serve beer! (Barbeer-working on their liquor license). My brother gets his haircut here and loves it! Every first Thursday of the month, the street hosts a ladies night which has many various activities such as wine tasting, crafts, and great music. They do something similar like this every third thursday of the month for Gentlemen's night. It is usually from 6:00-9:00pm. Definitely will be back here for Ladies Night! They also have a little museum called Muzeo and they change their theme every once in awhile. If you have a Bank of America card, the museum is free every first saturday and sunday of the month. As some others have suggested, Center Street Promenade takes on a "hipster" vibe. Overall, unless you're looking to eat, there isn't much else to do, especially in the evenings. I find that the stores close early and many of these stores don't have main stream appeal. But, as mentioned, there are plenty of restaurant options. Great for vegans/vegetarians with choices like Healthy Junk, 118 Degrees, and Gypsy Den. It's never too crowded here, which can be a plus. However, there have been a few times when I've dropped by on a weekday and a restaurant isn't open - bummer. Granted, I should pay more attention to hours! They have some cute stores like Home Economics for home goods, clothing boutiques and a yoga studio. Plus there's Eat Street in case you want to take some fun cooking classes! I believe they're opening a restaurant/bar soon and I can't wait. I think this promenade has so much potential. More people should come and support the local businesses here because it's a shame there isn't more foot traffic. read more

I am a fan of this true Downtown Area. Center Street Promenade is a very comfortable place to grab a bite, take in the shops, visit friends who live in the residential lofts and apartments in The Promenade area. They have events which include Beer Fest, Art Walk, Halloween Parade and festival along with a Christmas festival amongst many others. There is an occassional wedding or ceremony whether it be a graduation or a private affair. They are all very interesting. My first month here there was flame throwers, belly dancers, mariachi's and swing dancing. It was quite fun and interesting! They recently added a trapeze which seems like it will draw great attention! There are many fabulous restaurants in the area - many which draw a 4+star review! PokiNometry, Snow Station, The Cheese Store, Gypsy Den, 118 Degrees, Cervantes, Healthy Junk, Delifornia, K & A, Flame Broiler, Lindo Michoacan, Orange Sushi, Punjabi Indian and Umami Burger. Now they recently opened the 21-22 establishment phenom called The Packing House. It is an artisinal food court of sorts and hosts many fabulous restaurants and they are wonderful. The building has so much history and they did such a great job with it; everyone enjoys going there! Who knew ... Anaheim is really stepping up their game and it becoming quite a place to be. If you live in The Promenade area EVERYTHING is walking distance away and who doesnt LOVE that! If you haven't been - go. Try out all the new places. You may just find your favorite! Loved this food and shopping area. What a cool atmosphere. Anaheim was #2 on our Orange County alphabetized cities date nights. We ate at the vegan restaurant Healthy Junk. Parking was easy and right around the corner. After dinner we walked to the Okayama Kobo Bakery & Cafe for delicious gluten free chocolate chip scones. Would love to return again soon! read more

This is a great part of Anaheim the redevelopment makes this area much more desirable. Lots of shade, places to sit, people watch, some good places to eat as well as window shop. It still needs more stores to finish it off but it is on the right track. To top it off it has the farmers market on Thursday you can get some really great deals on fruits and vegetables. The area is trendy and clean but the parking structure company is ridiculous. Yes, the restaurants nearby validate parking at these structures but it's a little tricky if you don't know which restaurant you're planning to eat at. There are 2 parking structures and they validate DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS, which is ridiculous when it's literally one block away from each other. I got a validated pass and found out it didn't even work because it only validates the right parking structure and not the left one when the restaurant itself was located in the middle of them. If you don't have validated parking, the parking prices are pricey! We tried calling and nope they wouldn't validate it. Ugh! read more

It's definitely a great addition to the downtown. We come here to shop at the Look and the Good. We also come here to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables on Thursdays for the local farmers market. If there isn't anything going on here, there isn't a lot of foot traffic. read more

Parking structure is available. Don't lose your ticket or you'll have to pay a $21 fee for a lost ticket even with proof of receipt. I ate at a restaurant for an hour, and somehow misplaced my ticket. I took it into the restaurant to be validated. I explained this too the attendant. They asked for my Visa so they could charge me for a lost ticket. "Can I have your visa you'll have to pay for a lost ticket" and then he walked away. So if you can avoid the structure definitely do so. read more

I live here and I visit as often as I can. If you will check the other reviews you will see that many of them date back 4-5 years ago when the Promenade was just starting to be developed. It has certainly grown up. For example, I loved Ink and Bean and the Center Street Cheese shop, but the Okayama Kobo Bakery and Café are a wonderful substitute. The Promenade Pub is my favorite location with a great selection of local beers and some delicious food I had the deviled eggs on my first visit and I have ordered them for the table often since then. read more

I live close to this area and frequently visit the businesses and walk up and down the promenade. It's a gorgeous area and needs to have more popularity! Here's a few great places to visit and some reviews. I've been to Cervantez Mexican kitchen and food is fairly bland and mediocre. I've been to the cool video game bar that took over for Gypsy Den and it's an amazing place to visit! Skip the nachos though, they were gross. Great beer and craft cocktail selection and you can play video games with friends! Next, we just tried the recently opened sushi place near The Pub. Great service, but not great sushi. We were very underwhelmed with the taste of their rolls. We are faithful fans of Orange Roll Sushi just down the road and will go there instead. Now, in terms of other services, my husband has gone to BarBeer before it was turned to the Stateman and has great things to say about their hair cuts and beard/mustache services. This place is getting trendy, it's taking on a hipster vibe. I wish the business here were open on the weekends. Aside from that, when I do come here on the weekdays ,it's always pretty empty. Great spots but the parking structure got out of control . 1st floor is either reserve or carpool permit only . Just made a pass by and no parking on the street cause of the farmers market, went in and now I can't even park on the bottom floor even though 30+ parking spaces open . It seems like the Center Street Promenade isn't done yet! I was there at night so most of the stores were closed, and I couldn't fully enjoy it. But many empty shops waiting to be built. Once they are all built, it is going to be a very fun and popular area! read more
