What is even more concerning is that, to our knowledge, the building still does not have a proper occupancy approval, despite concerns being brought to the county multiple times. Nothing meaningful seems to have been done to address the situation. As far as we can tell, there are also no wheelchair-accessible restrooms available for guests, only portable toilets outside. We understand people want a place to celebrate events, but there also needs to be responsibility, respect for neighbors, and compliance with basic safety and accessibility standards. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

That is concerning because those reviews exist for important public safety reasons, including evaluating occupancy limits, emergency exits, accessibility requirements, fire protection systems, restroom facilities, parking impacts, and whether a building is actually appropriate for hosting large gatherings. Most people assume that if a business is openly advertising and hosting large public events, then all required inspections, occupancy approvals, and life-safety reviews have already been completed. I would strongly encourage potential customers not to make that assumption and instead ask direct questions about inspections, fire safety systems, occupancy approval, emergency planning, and accessibility accommodations before trusting this property with the safety of their family and guests. If I were spending my hard-earned money on a wedding or major event, those are answers I would absolutely want before booking.

We got a room for Sunday Eve. Our son wanted to go swimming for his birthday with a couple of his…read morefriends while the adults could sit and talk and then have pizza to have in the room. We called ahead and asked if we could have a room close to the pool, so that the kids would be more contained and we could change easily. We requested early check in at 2pm if possible, due to it being a school night. We called in the morning as instructed to see about early check in, and they would see us at 2. When we showed up, they said that they were just now starting to clean the room and could we please wait for 30 min. We waited for closer to an hour. We had already ordered pizza and paid for it. We tried to check in while the cleaning was being done, but were told that they could not do that. So we didn't really get checked in until 3. Then they let us know that our son could have everyone in the lobby but that the 2 other children were not allowed in the pool. We noticed that no one was in the pool. Another family had a birthday in the lobby and then went swimming. They had more kids than we did, but there was plenty of room. No one else was around. We ended up taking the kids to the park and having to go back and forth to get the pizza and all of the treats and everything. A 50 mph windstorm had hit town. It might not be policy to have a friend, but no one said anything when we made the reservation or sat waiting for an hour. After the party, the pool room fumes were so bad, we just went back to our room. The room was freezing and the air conditioning was on. We were not able to get the temperature to work. We finally got one an adult back and the other went to check. It was on a thermostat on the wall. We finally got settled. The room itself was small but nice storage bench to stow items. There was a rolling desk and chair to put suitcase on as well as a counter on top of mini fridge. We have chosen to do this every year, as do many of our friends who have winter birthdays, and never had a problem. Last year at Comfort Inn, not only did we feel welcomed, but they came and helped us take out the excess trash and allowed us to use some items from housekeeping to clean up our room after we ate and had presents. We tried this place this year because our son was excited to play in the lobby and so were we. Breakfast was not great. Rubbery eggs and paper thin, no taste bacon. Hard boiled egg still had shell to take off and was also rubbery. There were a few other options we didn't try. My son said the pancakes were good. They had plenty of things to put on them. The blankets were fresh smelling but so slippery that they kept falling off of us. They were very thin. Not my favorite stay.

I made a reservation online using our AAA card for a discount. We booked a king bed room with balcony for $98. There's plenty of parking available. They have way more amenities than we need, but the price was so reasonable we booked it. They have a restaurant on site and offer room service! Such a convenience with a wide variety of food, including pizzas. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet, which is not included with your room stay. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot with coffee and condiments, dining table with four chairs, desk with rolling chair, robes, safe, toiletries, hair dryer, luggage rack, iron & ironing board, and I'm sure a few other things I'm forgetting. It was well stocked! The rooms are nice and fairly updated. I liked how the bathroom had two sinks, one in the toilet shower room, and another by the coffee pot, making it super convenient to add water and clean out the carafe. The TV in the room was nice and big. They had MANY channels available. The remote worked properly and was easy to use. The balcony was a nice feature. We walked into the room and it had a faint smell of smoke. We opened the balcony slider to air it out a bit. The smell wasn't bad enough to make a fuss, so we just stayed put. There were two chairs on the balcony as well. Our room was 4326, top floor corner room. It was a nice, quiet location. Far enough away from the traffic noise so it didn't bother us. We had a nice, quiet sleep. Our king bed was very comfortable with the right amount of linens available to keep warm. Overall, we were impressed with this hotel. Friendly staff, painless check-in process, many amenities, clean and comfortable at an affordable price...what more could you ask for! Would highly recommend.
