I dropped off several items to the Quaker Meetinghouse location including my husbands newly purchased and tailored suit December 5th 2017. When I picked up my dry cleaning all appeared to be well as I have always experienced great service. When I took apart the bundle I noticed my husbands suit was not there but a suit with the same color and designer was in its place. Along with a white dress shirt that did not belong to us. I immediately brought the suit and shirt back to the cleaners and stated this was not mine and I was missing a navy blue thin pinstriped suit. The lady at the desk stated that she had tagged in my order herself and there was no possible way that there could be a mistake. The suit I received was in fact navy blue however completely wrong size and was not pinstriped. The lady told me to contact the manager and provided me with his number. I called explained my situation. Nathan Watson told me he would make this a priority and get back to me. I did not hear from him. I had to leave five messages before getting him on the phone where he informed me that they could not locate my suit and that someone had claimed the suit I had gotten by mistake. He instructed me to go to a store location and file a claim which I did on April 23rd of 2018. I provided my credit card receipt for the suit showing when and where it was purchased and how much it cost. On May 23rd I called and asked for a status report on my claim and spoke with Mike who knew about the situation but still had to call me back once he was up to speed. When he called me back I was extremely surprised to hear that this had to be investigated. I thought this was already done. I was told this situation has never happened and the clothes that come into the store are throughly tagged. They would need to cross reference any other customers that dropped a suit that day. Again I was told by Nathan this was done already. I asked if he could check his other locations for my suit I was then told that was impossible my suit would have gone to another location as the clothes are tagged before leaving the store. So now almost 6 months later I'm back at the starting point. I am looking for resolution not problems. Either my suit or the money to replace it. I did all they have asked of me. I have had to repeatedly call them when they state they will get back to me. They have 7 locations how hard can it be to check if my suit mistakenly went to another location or replace it? I'm not trying to be a jerk but this is now almost June! What if this were a wedding dress???

Back on-Island after 3 long years and came back to do 3 large loads of laundry. What a pleasant…read moresurprise to find a nice and helpful attendant and her little dog following her all over the place. I needed a refresher course in the use of the machines even though the instructions were on the panel which the attendant happily provided. A pleasant late afternoon experience overall. Here are some things you should know. - Several machines were "out of service" so this could be a real problem for those who come during a busy time. (I'm not taking stars away because I didn't have a problem and it wasn't a busy time.) - Parking is limited in front of this laundromat and if you do get one of the 4-5 spots out front, there is a 15 minute limit before 6pm. Be very careful if you decide to push it. PD does patrol. - There was a coin machine that dispenses quarters for $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills. - A wash load is $7.50 and $10 for the XXL machines. Each cycle is about 25 minutes long for the $7.50 machine; it's over before you know it. Instructions are on the panel. - The dryer is large and expensive at $.25 per 3 minutes - even on "high" mode, clothes aren't completely dry. I fed the dryers almost $3 for a lighter load without towels and thick clothing. - For 3 large loads of laundry, I was finished in about 2 hours and spent about $35. - Full service laundry is available at $3 per lb. You'll have to ask the attendant about turnover time. I've never used this service. There you have it. Hope this information helps. TIP: There's a great spot with Jamaican / Caribbean food, "Vineyard Caribbean Cuisine," in the same building. You can't miss it - it's on the right hand side as you come up the ramp towards the laundromat entrance. There's a line you won't miss either. Order at the take-out window while you wait for your laundry or after. (I'll be posting a review with photos on this.) Good luck!

The only reason I gave this guy one star is because I couldn't give him zero stars. Or negative…read morestars. Why? Glad you asked. My wife and I had brought our winter clothes to him for storage. When we picked them up this fall most of the woolen sweaters and jackets had numerous moth holes that weren't there when we brought them in. We brought this to the owner's attention and he denied any responsibility, claiming the holes must have been there when we brought the garments in. This is patently ridiculous. The storage facility is in desperate need of an exterminator! Many of the damaged sweaters were cashmere and fine wool, and the owner refused to repair them or pay toward their repair. And his dry cleaning and shirt laundry is mediocre at best. Surely there is a better cleaner/storage facility on the Cape!

As the shirt was new, I had it brought back and they stated that I must have torn the shirt and tried to sew it (I haven't sewn anything since the Army). Sorry, that is pathetic. No one touched the shirt but the cleaners. I have stopped using this business and would warn you to do the same.

For laundry equipment enthusiasts, it was like visiting a real-life museum! But for most people just trying to do their laundry, the wild assortment of strange models wasn't as much fun. That was several years ago. Since then, new owners have transformed this wonderful laundry into something even more fabulous! Exciting, all-new, state-of-the-art equipment has been installed throughout the entire laundromat! The old Speedwash had benches and windows where you could watch the traffic go by, but the new Speedwash is modeled more like a café. Even when you don't have laundry to do, it can be a pleasant place to stop. One thing that hasn't changed is the Speedwash's excellent location. As I said in my original review: " Whether you're in need of serious laundry washing, or simply looking for an interlude of light entertainment on your way to or from Cape Cod, you're certain to have a great time visiting the Speed Wash Laundromat in Buzzards Bay!
