In our case we brought our own food, and asked for a mid-day nap for our pups to be put back into their room together. My dog is 60 lbs and my sister's dog is 13 lbs, so they spend the days with their own size friends but giving them a break together mid-day was good for them. We got pictures regularly which is always a nice way to relax on vacation. When we picked up our pups they were exhausted, as expected. Both were ready to go home, but we felt sure that they had been well cared for every day. Paying for extras is worth it for our peace of mind, and knowing our dog's daily schedule is different but some parts are the same lets us feel like we have done the best we can when we have to board them. The bath required on the last day is helpful, but my dog's ears were highly matted and I had to cut out the knots when I got him home. I understand that this was from his activities with other dogs, but I also had to remember that the bath is not a groom, just a cleaning. I had planned a full groom for my pup shortly after we got home. Thank you to Ben for being so good with the dogs. I believe everyone here does their best to treat the dogs with kindness and we are already feeling good about planning our next trip, knowing we have a good option for boarding with confidence.

I have never been more disappointed with a business…read more About six months ago, I decided to try this doggy daycare after hearing great things about it from people at MADACC. Since I'm new to the downtown area, the location seemed perfect between work and school. The staff were welcoming, asked thorough questions, and I quickly scheduled an evaluation for my dog, Scooby. On the first evaluation day, I was told to come back later because there were no dogs he was "meshing with." It seemed a little odd, but I didn't think much of it. The next day, Scooby returned excited and ready to play. During the evaluation, he grabbed a slip leash that a staff member was wearing around her body and tugged on it. Based on that incident alone, they denied him and told me to return after he had "more training." As someone who has worked in a dog daycare myself, I found that reasoning questionable. Wearing slip leads around your body can create safety risks regardless of how well-trained a dog is. Additionally, I had recently invested over $2,000 in a board-and-train program that Scooby completed successfully. Being told he needed more training felt dismissive and unfair. Nevertheless, I accepted their decision and moved on. Fast forward to today. Scooby has continued his training and has made significant progress. Unfortunately, he has since developed occasional patellar luxation. Multiple veterinarians have evaluated him and cleared him for normal activities. They have also advised that if his knee slips out, it can be safely placed back into position and have not recommended surgery at this time. When I brought Scooby back for reevaluation, I was completely transparent about his condition. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I waited over 15 minutes before a staff member even came out to interact with him. After that wait, only a short amount of time was spent discussing his condition before I was told they could not evaluate or accept him because of the possibility of his knee dislocating during play. It felt as though the decision had already been made before he was given a fair chance. At this point, it feels like every time I have brought Scooby in, a new reason has been found to deny him. First it was a leash-tugging incident, then it was his medical condition. As someone with experience working in dog daycare environments, I understand that safety is important. However, every daycare environment has inherent risks that must be managed. The facility itself uses portable crates lined along the walls of the play areas, and staff members wear and handle equipment around dogs. Those are operational risks that come with running any daycare. It was difficult to understand why Scooby was repeatedly singled out when risk management is a normal part of the job. Meanwhile, Scooby regularly attends another daycare and boarding facility in my hometown without issue, frequents dog parks, and has interacted successfully with dogs and people of all ages. Even complete strangers have been comfortable interacting with him and helping him when his knee occasionally slips. I understand businesses must make decisions they believe are best for their staff and facility. However, after two separate attempts, two completely different reasons for denial, and a reevaluation that never truly felt like an evaluation at all, I am left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I hate to play the breed discrimination card but he is a large American bully boxer breed with cropped ears. I genuinely wanted this facility to work out because of its convenient location and the positive things I had heard beforehand. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I live in Cudahy and they came to pick my dog in the mornings and dropped him in the afternoons. They've taken my dog to dog parks, various trails, beaches, state parks, and they send pictures and videos to let you know your fluffy friend is happy. They care about where they take your dog too, so if it's super hot out they find a place to cool off for the day while still exercising your doggo. If it rained out, they check the pH levels of the beach to make sure it's safe and will avoid if it's not. They're timely with pick ups and drop offs too, and their super trust worthy; in fact I gave them the key to my house and they were nice enough to feed/water my pup and gave him a treat before they left. To cap things off they're some of the kindest people I've ever met. If you need someone to watch your little tail wagging friend, call these gals. The price is fair, the service is awesome, and I would recommend them to everyone. No regrets.

After taking her there for 1-2 days a week regularly, at pick up, we were told it was not a good fit for our dog, as she is relentless with play, and will not stay away from the other dogs, and they are very afraid she will get bit, as there are "bigger more aggressive" guys in there who could "really hurt her". The worker was very nice, but stated how concerned he was that she might get hurt. Understandable. Our dog will play play play; if a dog is around, she wants them to be her best friend. Upon returning home, I noticed that our girl had a gash near her eye- she had clearly been bit or, at a minimum, was on the end of an act of aggression. It seems the worker was not transparent, as she clearly did get hurt. I ultimately ended up emailing the manager, asking if it was typical policy to effectively kick out the dog who was injured, as it seems counterintuitive to kick her out, stating she is a liability as she won't leave dogs alone, and some get sick of her. It feels as though the dog who is the concern for the act of aggression would be the greater liability. At any rate, the owner responded that she probably incurred the "cut" because she was "annoying another dog". I would have appreciated communication if this was the issue, as nothing was ever brought to our attention prior to this. Just an honest review that if you have an active younger dog, you may want to consider sending them somewhere else where the dogs are divided by age/size/temperment.

It's a dog daycare...not a one on one play session. Ben is a great owner and loves dogs. My lab loves coming here when we need to board him. They didn't tell us to pick certain days/times to bring him in, which is great because my wife and I have chaotic schedules. When either of us are fed up with our wild boy, we can just drop him off for a while and know he'll come back chill. The staff members are also fantastic and have more patience than I could ever ask for. I can barely handle my dog some days, yet they handle him AND dozens of others. When we took a tour of Skydance in Douseman, I knew they were genuinely compassionate and kind people. They answered all my questions and the facilities were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I felt like it was a home away from home in a beautiful setting in the kettle moraine forest. When I dropped my boy off for his 9 day stay, I was greeted with kindness and they were very thorough to make sure they had all the information they needed to make his stay comfy. The caregivers were so sweet and patient with me every time I called to check in with them. I found it very comforting to know the caregivers are well educated and trained in CPR. They are also very diligent to appropriately match dogs together for play time so they are with personalities and sizes that are safe. I highly recommend this incredible place to anyone looking for great care for their furry family member. They go above and beyond and treated my dog as a member of their family. I am so grateful.

Do not bring your dogs to the Dousman facility! We have a 2 year old French bulldog and a 10 year…read moreold French bulldog and had 2 negative experiences with this boarding facility. We boarded our dogs there for a week in June and they were supposed to receive a bath before pick up. The boarding facility sent them home with both of their backsides covered in diarrhea. I questioned bringing them back, but decided to give it another shot, which was a terrible mistake. We recently boarded them both for a week (total bill over $1000) and I let the staff know that both dogs have some level of anxiety about boarding at drop off. Again, we asked for the bath, nail trim as part of the boarding package. My 20 year old daughter picked up the dogs and upon bringing them home, she called to tell me our 10 year old had a dramatic limp and was not willing to move or get out of bed. Upon further inspection, we noticed that he had licked his front paws raw and his nails appeared to be clipped down to quick. None of this was communicated at pick up. His feet were so bad he refused to walk and I had to take him to the vet. I called the Dousman facility and was transferred to the manager and explained the situation to her through tears. How did they not notice this throughout the week? She said she was going to discuss with staff and their director would be in touch to remedy the situation. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything. This place is advertised as an upscale crate free facility, but obviously they are not taking care of the dogs as advertised. Do not trust this place with your dogs.
