The employees are friendly and helpful, and they've even ordered specific coils just for me! Today, I was looking to buy a new mod, and they gal who helped me...I wish I knew her name (my bad)...went over each device I looked at and helped me pick the perfect one for my preferences. Like all vape shops, their prices are higher than ordering online, but after all the shipping and other charges they hit you with when shopping online, it's not really THAT much more. Terrible customer service. No information about drinks nor explanation on different prices. I felt like I was inconveniencing the employee. I was served a tiny drink for 5 bucks or so. It was good but too expensive. Also, dark and creepy inside. Customer was more friendly than woman working. I walked few blocks up the street and went into a vegan place that was advertising kratom drinks. It was 3 times the size for same price (happy hour) and a better drink!! I have been in this place a few times, made small purchases and hung out once. I did all this while receiving little to no acknowledgement from the woman behind the counter. When she did, her dull personality cuppled with seemingly zero knowledge about the products other than their prices, I was glad when she went away and socialized with what were clearly other employees, so there's that. Don't spend money with these jerks. Terribly rude customer service. They sold me a product that was missing a piece out of the package, and when I went in to get the missing piece (because the crappy tank had ALREADY broke)... They did absolutely nothing. They didn't show me any alternatives. They didn't apologize. The "manager" if that's what you call him, didn't even get up out of his chair to come over and address me. I spent over $100 in that store, and would have spent hundreds more over time, but I will take my business elsewhere. If you want people who are condescending, unhelpful, rude, and sell u boxes with pieces missing and then refuse to replace them, apologize, or even stand up to address their you, here they are. There are much better stores around that aren't run by young liars... The guy is full of ego and has no interest in good customer service or integrity. Rarely do I feel compelled to wake up hours later to bash someone's performance, but this young woman working here last night has mastered how to lose my business. My girlfriend and I are new to the Kava scene and on our walk home (we live in the neighborhood) we decided to stop in for a nightcap. Granted, it was near closing, but the sign read "open", the door was unlocked and the "bartender" was entertaining a mask-less group of six who looked like they were wrapping up a party. Reluctantly, this "bartender" asked how she could help us and after an awkward initial exchange she led us back to the bar area. We explained to her we were novices when it came to this beverage and asked if she might guide us to something we may enjoy. She had little to offer us, and by that I don't mean she was out of Kava...she was just out of f*cks to give for us or probably anyone else. She was flat out rude. Asked if she made any special Kava cocktails? "No." Ok, what would you suggest we get? Nothing but a blank stare. My girlfriend politely asks if we may remove our masks? We were seated at the bar trying to give her our business and she responds "you really need to have a drink in front of you." No sh*t Sherlock, what do you think we're trying to accomplish here!?? Meanwhile, no more than 4ft behind me her group of mask-less friends are popping balloons off and carrying on like the odd and super high Asian helper from the end of "Boogie Nights". We surmise that she couldn't be bothered by our questions, our presence and especially our business. So we took it down the street to Grassroots where the bartender was more than happy to take our order as the last thing he did before he closed up for the night. Needless to say, we will never come back here. I won't tell you that you shouldn't either because (if nothing else) it's a very interesting study in the absolute worst customer service one could experience. Go here just so that when you go elsewhere you'll know the difference between someone just giving you service (or lack thereof) and someone providing hospitality. read more

I've had mixed experiences here. A former employee (very nice) helped me find my first ever #vape device (Joyetech eGo One) and -- since I was still a lil' baby vape bird -- she instructed me how to put it together, take it apart, change the coil, fill it, etc. She also helped me find an #eliquid I liked. I've since become a more advanced vaper and have upgraded twice: Now using a #LostVapeDNA200 box #mod with a rose gold #UwellCrown sub-ohm tank. It's a damn sexy machine. I digress. I still come to JV for "happy hour," where they have 16-oz #kratom tea for $10. I believe HH is from 7-10p. There are beer specials too, but the selection is less-than-impressive. The kratom recipe comes from a former Mad Hatters employee, so it's similar to their tea in strength and consistency. I'll also come grab a juice here if there's something I want right away (otherwise I order online). The music is usually good, but the service is iffy. They're sometimes super nice and helpful; sometimes they make you feel like YOU are inconveniencing THEM. (I hate that.) Overall a good place for vape supplies & building advice/help (I'm not THAT advanced yet). This was my first experience coming into a Kava/Kratum place and I was mind blown. Rian took her time to explain in extensive detail the differences in how Kava and Kratum effect the body and their benefits. She I introduced me to my first Kratum drink and I even got the taste just right for me. I've come to this place multiple times, I've gotten so many faulty vapes that didn't work it's not even funny. It's obvious the vapes have sat for a long time and don't work correctly because of it, they don't recharge, they don't last, and the vape flavors have gone burnt or stale by the first hit. A specific cashier has always been rude every time I've gone in, and has double charged me and then refused to give me a receipt and I bought a 6000 hit elf bar vape today that's already malfunctioning and won't charge and this is the final straw or being sold a 30 dollar vape that doesn't work. Don't waste your money or time for a head-shop that can't even sell a consistent product. Won't be returning again. read more

I wouldn't come here if you want decent prices, good customer service, and quality information/kindness. I would suggest going anywhere else. I purchased here several times because it's within walking distance of where I work, and each time I wasn't very happy when I left. I go there to purchase juice and coils for my KangerTech setup. Every single time I've gone in there and started talking to a clerk, I'm ignored for five minutes at a time so that the clerks can talk to their friends about non work related activites. Hell, I've even heard them have conversation about hustling in front of me. They overcharged for the coils I purchased, and on top of that I was having problems with them. Last time I went in to discuss why my coil was only lasting a few days, a week tops, the clerk was very rude and pretentious and said that that was how those coil works. I'm no idiot, I'm not new to the scene, I know my coils shouldn't be lasting only a few days. The clerks will walk away for a few minutes at a time.. it'd be okay if they were checking up on other customers, or to check on the computers to look into what I'm asking for, but the case is that they'll walk away to just dilly dally and talk to their friends who sit at the bar. Who does that? I honestly don't understand how this business is bringing in any money. Conversation stops and they act like you're an inconvenience when you walk into the shop. I'm not going there again, and I would suggest you dont, either. read more

Extremely disappointed in the cloud "competition"! Not only were the "rules" unclear but they were extremely subjective. The judging didn't ever go off the judges, it clearly went off outside influence. There were multiple people "disqualified" for "blowing early", yet there was a man who was allowed to redo his blow because "he didn't know the rules". How is that fair? It was also extremely obvious that people who were friends with employees didn't have to use the juice for the competition and we're clearly using their own. Not sure what exactly the rules are or were, but they not only should have been extremely clear but also should have been equal for everyone. Multiple times during the male and female competition the judges ruled one way and the opposite would win. Again, showing favoritism... I didn't compete... this isn't a rant from someone who lost... I just think if you're going to have a competition, make it fair. read more

The worker had to use a tool kit to get it off, and then had the audacity to tell me the unit was not defective, and I could not return it even for store credit. I've been meaning to write this review for awhile but haven't had a a chance to, but todays the day. Visited St. Pete's (from Philly) for a few days back at the end of April to take some classes at Dollylocks Salon w my co workers. Our first night there I accidentally dropped my cuboid on the concrete and completely shattered the glass on my sub tank... no biggie really, i brought a spare tank w me but I figured I'd stop by a local vape shop and pick a new glass replacement up. So the next day after breakfast we walked a bit to this place. My friends and I walked in and were not greeted at all. In fact one of the employees was laying on the couch and just looked at us and didn't say anything. When I explained my situation i was told "we don't carry just the glass" and before I could ask anything that dude just walked away. There was another employee that saw the confusion in my face and offered some help. But he told me I couldn't even buy an entire new tank separate... id have to buy the whole mod w tank... uhhhhhh what? i don't know how things work in florida, but every vape shop I've been in up north over the last few years not only sells tanks individually but also has replacement parts on hand. I thanked that dude politely and we left. I've never been in a vape shop where the employees seemed so disinterested in their customers AND seem to have some really dumb ideas on how ppl buy tanks and products... i'd never recommend this place to anyone... but the rest of our trip was grand! so aside from this dumb shop, St.Petes was the ish! read more

I miss Eric, there is a friendly vibe, but a lack of Eric. Where the heck is Eric I say first thing when I get up to the counter. And right before I get up to leave. This is a shop and a beer bar and a lounge and they also sell Kratom. Trying to see through vape clouds and listening to death metal is all part of the experience. I have never seen a vape store like this. There's a countless amounts of flavors, I mean countless. Anything you could ever want. Most vape places are not this nice. It's a super dope place with local art, paintings all over the place from local artists and cool lighting and plenty of room to sit. Here's the real cool thing about this place besides having all the vape accessories you want and need as a person who enjoys vaping. The staff are so knowledgeable about everything and or more then happy to help in anyway possible. They play great music and even have video games if you're so inclined.
