Our yard was…read morea complete mess before they came (with really hard uncomfortable small pebbles, hard dirt along the sides of the house, and wood chips in large spaces making it all kind of unusable). We had about 4 other landscape companies in the area come out first to give us an estimate on our project (Madrone, Pacific Outdoor, Purlieu, Atkinson) and a few of them actually wanted a pricey "design fee" before they would even give us a full/complete estimate. We already knew the basic idea of our design that we wanted, and so an extra design fee did not make any sense for our project. We ended up choosing True Landscape because their pricing was the most reasonable out of the group! Also, their representative George, seemed really committed to the project. He took measurements when he arrived, talked through a design plan, gave us a location to check out some of the landscape products to choose from, and even followed up the next day with some samples. George was also really easy to work with and scheduled/brought out the crew fairly quickly and the project only took about a week! In terms of the redesign, True Landscape installed new pavers, extended out our grass area, set up the drip water system, built a new planter box, and added large pavers and nice rocks around the sides. We are really happy with how it all turned out and our yard looks much more modern now : ). We have actually been going out every day to enjoy it now (over the past month) when we literally never used our yard before. Thank you!!

They transformed the outside of our home, and it now looks and feels like a magazine spread! Just today, I received compliments from two separate strangers on the front yard. We constantly get compliments on the appearance of our home. Samantha was the landscape architect who created the design, and it was amazing to see her lay out the vision. She saved us space in ways I definitely couldn't have conceived of on my own. She said the remodel would be like doubling our living space, and she was right! Scott oversaw the construction from start to finish. He was very attentive and obviously cared about and was fully invested in the success of the project. He had an expertise with plants and gave great guidance to give me the colors I wanted in plants that would work for our space and the SoCal heat. I am constantly smiling at the plants Scott suggested. They are thriving, and I wouldn't change a thing. The crew was respectful, clean and did a beautiful job. It was a long project, but Pacific Outdoor kept their initial timeline. Our main reason for going with Pacific Outdoor was that they were a one-stop shop. They could do everything. They truly delivered, and it is better than we ever imagined! It was so easy to look at their choices and select what we wanted. They had a wide variety of design choices. We replaced most of the grass in the back with their pavers and used the same pavers for our driveway. They look fantastic. We have a neighbor that had Pacific Outdoor build them a firepit that they love. We received great guidance and attention from the full team all along the way. They didn't quit until the project was finished to our satisfaction. As I float in our beautiful pool and eat tangerines off of my new tree, I feel like a queen and couldn't be happier after choosing Pacific Outdoor! Our family highly recommends them!

(They had also done an excellent job on the pool deck five years earlier, before I knew I was going to fill in the pool.) I have been very pleased with the results, which have really elevated my enjoyment of my home's outdoor areas. I would also caution anyone considering going with System Pavers to steer clear of those crooks. I wasted thousands of dollars having them do a terrible job on my pool deck, and had to have Pacific rip out their work and fix it. It was an expensive mistake that I hope to save others from repeating. If I had gone with Pacific in the first place, I would have saved lots of money and hassle. Some pictures of the driveway, patio, and now-defunct pool deck are included here.

Ryan, the office staff, and the field crew were all a pleasure to work with. Their communication was excellent, and they adjusted their schedule as needed due to weather delays. I had noticed some settling happening in one corner of the house near the windows and was concerned that there might be an issue. I also wanted to know if there was anything we could do to strengthen the home in case of earthquake. I sent a message to them on Yelp and received contact back within a day. It was easy to schedule an appointment on the phone. Ryan showed up to do a free evaluation. He took a look at everything in the house, the garage, side yard, and crawlspace. He even let my 7 year old son assist him with some of the process while taking measurements. He explained the settling that we had in the house and had a few recommendations that he said were of no real urgent concern. He told me what to look out for in the future as signs that we might need to take remediation steps. Overall, he came across as extremely honest, detail-oriented, earnest guy. One detail to share that I think illustrates something about Ryan. For context, we are a no shoes in the house family. Over the last 5 years, we've had a decent number of contractors come do work in the house. The no-shoes thing is always something I end up either discussing or (more often than not) temporarily ignoring when people come into the house to work. In this case, Ryan had already noticed the row of shoes by the door and my unshod feet and removed his shoes without a word about it before entering our house. I'm pretty sure that's the first time that's ever happened. That attentiveness alone already put him in the 5 star category!
