Very friendly and helpful staff. They are experts in compounding medicines and it's nice to have them in North County!

I never thought that the merger of CVS and Rite Aid would work but boy did they make a fool of me!…read moreEvery time that I go in there to pick up a prescription, I notice something new that they are doing to make improvements to get your prescription's out to you in the quickest way possible. They now have new electronic devices for signing you in when you get to the counter. And a new express line that works really fast if you are setup to receive text messages when your prescription is ready! You receive a barcode in your text which you use in the express line and boy is that fast! I am really happy to see that they fixed their computer system so now when it says that your prescription is ready to renew, then that is the correct day! Sure, at certain times of the day, the line can get long! I know I have been in those long lines! But while I am standing there I am watching everyone working behind the counter and what I have observed is a group of very hard working people trying their best to get everyone's medications out to everyone as quickly as they possibly can. No, I don't work there or know anyone who works there! I just notice people! I don't know too many people by name but I do know a couple of hard working individuals that are long time CVS Pharmacists. I sure am glad to see that Faten and Abbey (Frankie) are still taking the lead in making things run smoothly! I know that there are many other hard working Pharmacists there also, I just don't know any other names. Keep up the good work CVS pharmacy! You have made a believer in me!

I do not plan to use the CVS Pharmacy on Niblick Road in Paso Robles again…read more The pharmacy used to provide good service, but that is no longer the case. It is no longer an option to simply say "talk to a pharmacist" and get past the ongoing automated questions. Instead, I have to answer numerous questions every single time, only to be routed to voicemail. I went around and around with this process for two days straight. I even contacted corporate, which took more than 10 minutes just to reach a person. I was then transferred two more times, and each time I had to explain the entire situation all over again. And even then, they couldn't necessarily get me through to a person. When I finally reached someone regarding my medications, I was told I would have to call back and go through the entire automated process again just to arrange shipping. What should have been a simple request turned into a complete nightmare. The lack of direct access to a pharmacist and the endless phone maze have made the customer experience beyond frustrating and completely unacceptable. I rarely write negative reviews. However, since no one seems willing to hear the feedback or have any power to create change or help me get my issues handled, this seems like they only way to get through. The individual people who work there are generally kind and want to help, however they do not seem to have any power to sidestep this horrible system.

CVS is actually a store with the pharmacy inconveniently located in back of the store - so far away…read morein the back for a sick person who is hacking and wheezing or just feeling ill to reach the service counter. So if you have a cold, flu, or covid, you expose everyone in the store to your germs as you walk the aisles all the way back to reach the actural pharmacy counter. Likewise, if other sick individuals are accessing the pharmacy, you end up at risk of being exposed to their illnesses because there is no drive up window. This should be considered a health issue. If I am sick, I don't want to enter the store and expose others and likewise would hope the same consideration from others. There are miles of carpeted floors stepped upon daily by hundreds of people day after day. This is another health issue. It is gross and makes me wince evertime I enter. The store has a stale odor, not a fresh, clean air smell. This could be from miles of carpet or poor air filtration for such a large space. The advertised hours are deceptive. The store may be open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 10 p,m,, but this is not the actual pharmacy hours which is the only reason I want to go there. The pharmacy hours are limited and not readily available nor posted online. The pharmacy was closed at 6 p.m. but those hours are not advertised. My dissatisfaction with CVS is due to my mistake in not doing more research after the closure of Rite Aid and transferring my prescriptions to CVS. I plan to change to the pharmacy down the street that offers better counter service, feels and smells cleaner, and provides 24 hour availability plus has a drive up window.

Most of my recent reviews are 5 stars, raving about great service. Unfortunately this isn't one of…read morethem. This review is about the pharmacy staff at Rite Aid. . Not the retail store staff. The pharmacy on Spring Street has the rudest, most impatient, uncaring, uncommunicative staff & Pharmacist. Basically refusing to "deal with" customers & telling them to "stop talking" & are short staffed & that is why they are incompetent. I have never heard staff talk to customers like they did last Thursday afternoon, on November 2nd. The pharmacy at Walmart in Paso Robles is so friendly & efficient & the Pharmacist, Jonathan, is extremely professional, personable, & caring. Transferring our prescriptions was the best thing to do. I'm getting all my family switched to Walmart. The Spring Street Rite Aid's pharmacy clearly doesn't want your business. The lines are usually long, & they will tell you it's because they are short staffed. The Rite Aid on Creston is somewhat better but my vote is Walmart if you are looking for a great pharmacy with professional pharmacists & caring & efficient check out staff. I do not recommend the Spring Street Rite Aid pharmacy & would give it negative stars. Sooo today is December 29th. I started this review almost 2 month ago & finally all of my husband's prescriptions are transferred. It took 4 requests! When I went in to ask why it was taking so long, the pharmacy staff snapped & said it was sent today. They always act very bothered to assist their customers. Well it won't be us any longer. Jonathan, our Walmart Pharmacist told me he was going to drive there himself if it wasn't transferred today. Luckily he didn't have to. But THAT is the kind of service you can expect at the Paso Robles Walmart pharmacy!
