There's upfront parking and I got greeted right away when I walked in with a smile I had to pick up a prescription from my rheumatologist he sent in. Hopefully it works, but I like this pharmacy. i needed a compound mouthwash and was first directed to a pharmacy in west covina. I found it odd that they wanted payment in cash and would not run the medication through my insurance. I had to pay $45 for (2) 240 ml bottles. my dentist then sent me to central drugs and what a difference! they ran it through my insurance and had a copay of only $13! Very friendly staff and great location. I will definitely look into moving my other prescriptions here as well. my dentist will also direct others to central drugs instead of the one in west covina! read more

Used them for years to fill my Rx but I made the mistake of transferring my RX away from them and when I tried to send it back they refused to call the other pharmacy to get the Rx back. The other pharmacy refused to call Central Drugs and now I am stuck without a prescription and Central Drugs refused to help twice! I guess I am not using them any longer. read more

I have been coming here for possibly a year or so, about twice a month to pick up my family's medications. Each time has been an extremely pleasant experience; the pharmacy staff is kind and courteous and very knowledgeable. They call me once my medications are ready for pick up each month which is very helpful and an extra step which I have not experienced elsewhere. Marc also called and emailed me information in regards to new 2021 guidelines to make filling a specific med flow with ease, which makes this is the first year out of many new years and new deductibles...2021 has been a smooth transition. Not having to waste time navigating their phone menu system before getting a live person is rare these days. Yep, I'm reviewing a compounding pharmacy!! I've been dealing with some confusing medical issues and needed to get some prescriptions filled. My doctor sent me to this pharmacy. Every single person that I've encountered there has been AMAZINGLY helpful and caring. Wow! Complete knowledge in their work and what they are dispensing. 100% of the time there has been smiles on everyone in the room. I've only been there 3 times but I've never felt rushed with going over the "how and why"... I was even given detailed instructions on how to give myself a shot in the (ahem) rear end, how to fill the syringe, where to inject and all of that. I want to do it right and so when I asked her to go over it one more time, she was pleasant and was glad to go over all the things to remember. She even said I could come in again if I needed another review or help with my first one. Customer Service has been FANTASTIC in every way. It seems they can order any supplement if you don't find what you're looking for in the store. Also-if you prefer-they will ship your items to you for a small charge. I have had several issues related to dosing and consistency. I made complaints to the pharmacist. He listened, said he would get back to me, but never did. There are legal and ethical criteria for the manufacturing and delivery of medication. Compounding pharmacies are not exempt from these criteria. Unfortunately, being nice and smiling are not a substitue for accurate dosing. Hormone balances are important and this pharmacy does not treat them as such. FYI - look for accreditations like PCAB, Pharmacy Compounding Accreditations Board or PCCA, Professional Compounding Centers of America. This pharmacy is not accredited and the lack of compliance to dosing is appalling. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Attempted to do business with this pharmacy on the recommendation of our vet. My vet faxed over a prescription for my pet and they claimed they never received it. However another girl said they did but couldn't fill it bc they lacked an ingredient but this was never communicated to anyone. (This was later denied by the manager.) I was told 3 separate times in the same day that they would call my vet to get the Rx and call me back, not once did I receive a call back but instead had to call back to try and get answers every time. They claimed they were being placed on hold and never able to get through though I managed to get an answer in under 5 minutes each time I called my vet. When I had my vet fax over the Rx a second time, they told me it would not be ready for 6 days! And also told me I was mistaken bc they had only received the fax 5 minutes ago, not 4 days prior. The woman I spoke to, Nadia, who claimed to be the manager, both did not seem like she knew what she talking about, nor did she seem to care that this negatively affected anyone. When I told her that's how I felt, she still did not apologize. Simply told me she wasn't sure what I wanted her to do about it. I've never been so infuriated by poor customer service before. I have worked in customer service for 10 years and it takes a lot to get me upset. I'm usually overly forgiving bc I know it's a difficult job but when you are dealing with people's medications that affect their health (even if it's their pet, which she acted like wasn't that important) and you cannot give a genuine I'm sorry when you dropped the ball, there's just no excuse for that. I will surely never be giving my business to this place and made sure to tell my vet of the experience so they would not recommend it to other clients. I truly hope someone learns from this experience so no one else ever has to experience such frustration and poor service. read more

I recently had Central Drugs In Fullerton fill a special medication needed for 18 days. My regular one has a specific dye that I can not have for an upcoming test. They handled everything, called my doctor, got approval by my insurance. Sure was nice to have someone else handle it since I didn't know all the avenues. Also, I am thankful that this prescription can be filled. I didn't want to be off of it in the time I had to prepare for the upcoming test. So thank you so much & to the awesome staff who kept me updated the whole way. Also, I am in Huntington Beach, and they had it mailed to my door, so convenient. I agree with Leslie Q. I have also had hormone dosing issues at this pharmacy. My doctor recently increased my dose of estrogen, i had my prescription filled by them and used it for a month as i usually do. When i called to refill my prescription i asked how many refills i had left, the pharmacist told me i only had one and a half since my last refill was for two months. What? So i was given a two months supply and was never told! So for a whole month i took more than double the amount of estrogen i should have been taking. And where did the half a refill come from? The pharmacist was also polite to me but when it comes to your health politeness is just not enough. The package label did say take half a gram each day but since i was never told i was being given a two month supply i assumed half a gram was the amount of estrogen that was in one dose. I had no idea i needed to cut each dose in half. Pharmacist explained that it is very important to be exact with dosing. Yes, i agree! Isn't it their job to ensure proper dosing? If you use this pharmacy please ask lots of questions do not assume pharmacist is giving you proper dose. read more
