A waste of time and money. Go to a real apple store with professionals. Missed their own projected deadlines. When they read me their own notes I realized the clerk had wrote the least important parts of my computers issues down. For three days they couldn't replicate my computers random restart issue. I turned it on for an hour after I got it back from them and it started to restart randomly. My guess is that just lied and barely worked on it. Not professional, not courteous, just collected a bench fee and wasted my money. read more

Great Mac repair shop! My iMac desktop is the nerve center of my business. After a Mac system update, the machine would no longer boot up, couldn't access any of my accounts and time was of the essence. Computer Advantage got it fixed in a shorter time than estimated, saved every last piece of existing information and all for a very reasonable price. Entire staff were very courteous and professional with Luke in particular being a standout! Couldn't recommend more highly! read more

Where do I even begin? Each and every time I need assistance with an Apple or PC problem I can always trust that Computer Advantage located in Newnan, Georgia, will do their utmost to fix the issue. On December 9, 2018, I was frantic. Due to Apple Support's incompetence, my iPhone was wiped without having been backed up to the Cloud and although it was backed up to my computer, I couldn't retrieve any of it! Everything I had was unobtainable! When I tried to retrieve it from my computer the status bar stated that it would take 72 hours but that number had only continued to climb during the 15 hours it was attempting to load. Apple recommended that I uninstall and reinstall iTunes which I felt sure would finalize the loss of all of my records. I adamantly refused to do as Apple advised, I grabbed up my computer and my iPhone and I drove the nearly 1 1/2 hours to Computer Advantage!! It was well worth the drive! They immediately took ownership of my issue and by the next morning my iPhone was loaded with nothing lost!! They are competent and trustworthy and I highly recommend them!! When I entered the store, while they were in the back, one of them came immediately up to the front to assist me. I was purchasing an additional RAM stick for my PC. Basically handed him the RAM stick I had, and within 2 minutes was ready to walk out of the store. There were 2 sizes available. The person assisting me quickly went over each with no pressure to purchase the more expensive one. On top of this tremendous service, they were locally owned. So, I was able to provide financial support to my community as well instead of any nationwide enterprise. read more

I don't usually write a review but my experience with this Apple Retailer was so bad, I felt the need to warn anyone else. Let me start from the beginning. I originally brought my computer here for keyboard and display issues. Turns out it was covered by my warranty. Great news. I was ecstatic about that. So they took my computer in and my information and I then proceed to look around because I needed a car charger. I found one for $19.99 before tax. I got it and even mentioned if they sold the little extension cords for new Apple computers because they weren't included in the boxes with the new ones anymore. The guy working with me that day gave me one for free. I was also very pleased with this customer service. I thought I picked a perfect place for future business seeing as I live in Carrollton and the closet Apple store was Cumberland Mall. Boy was I wrong. I call them after a few days of waiting because I was told my computer should be done by the following Thursday. I call Thursday evening because I hadn't heard back yet. They told me it should be delivered by 5 pm. If it's not, they'll call me the following day. I get a phone call the following day and you would not believe what the man said to me. The guy who helped me and the man who called me are two different people. I don't remember the man who helped me but he was extremely apologetic and nothing but kind. However, Aaron, the man who called me proceeded to dismiss my frustration and act as if I didn't have a right to be upset. After he just told me THEY LOST MY $2,000 COMPUTER! Yep, that's right. They couldn't find it. He acted like I had no right to be upset. I say to him, "You're telling me you lost my computer I paid so much for?" He says back to me, "Well, we're only human. Human's make mistakes, but they will do their due diligence and find it." Not ma'am I'm sorry for the inconvenience, not we do apologize we'll handle it as swiftly as possible and get your computer back to you. No, none of that. Just dismissal and doesn't care attitude. Now, I attempted to try the charging port that I bought for my car when I left the store, IT DIDN'T WORK. Which pissed me off even more. I get here to FINALLY pick up my computer two weeks later, and they tell me that my card isn't working for the return. It's being declined. Not sure why, but it is. So he tells me that I either need to exchange it or I'm stuck with an item that doesn't work. I'm sitting here astonished and getting more and more upset as time passes by. How can you not give me my money back? I paid for this and it didn't work. I had to go buy another one that same day because I needed it. And you're telling me you refuse to give me my money back. He calls his manager, I believe, and trying to get it approved for cash return. BUT. He still refuses to give me my money back. He says to me, "I don't know what to tell you. Your card isn't working." I just used this card, mind you. I respond with, "I need my money back. So you need to figure it out. My card was working fine." He says, "Do you have another card?" I did, but it wasn't to MY bank account. It was to my best friends bank account. We share but I have no money it in. I only deposite if I owe her money. So I told the man no. He says, "I can't do anything. Either exchange it or keep it." I reply, "My card is on and working fine. I need my money returned now." He replies, "I'm not going to argue with you. It's not working." Excuse me? Argue with me? I'm the customer. You shouldn't be arguing with me in the first place, I said. I reluctantly took out the card that goes to my best friends bank account, and you know what he said over the phone to his manager? "She suddenly found another card." Right in my face. Rude as shit. I say out loud, "This is ridiculous. I am never returning to this store again." They lose my computer, dismissed my anger, and can't give me my money back for an item that doesn't fucking work?? Worse experience in my fucking life. I recognized Aaron's voice as the guy arguing with me in the store. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE!!! read more

Wifes iPad charging port quit working and we hoped that there was a fix. Walked into a clean, organized and not in your face store. Immediately we were greeted and the service was well above great. The explained why it wasn't possible to fix due to Apple's way of manufacturing. He showed us a viable replacement that was not overpriced. For the basic iPad it was much better priced than I was able to find online anyway so turned to the wife and said, "Happy anniversary!" If you are looking for a no hassle, pushy computer store these guys come highly recommended. I don't leave reviews many times and the ones I have were to warn or vent on poor service. So to take the time to give 5 stars is a testament on the store and its employees. Worth the trip. read more

Ah, the honor of the first review. This is unfortunate. I sit here, typing this from my wonderful laptop--a real treat, considering, had I left it at Computer Advantage I would still be mourning its absence. I have had two experiences at Computer Advantage that left much to be desired. The first: I dropped off my computer on a Tuesday. A rather unhelpful woman told me that the technician would be able to look at it, and I would receive a call in a few hours. She must have meant a few days, because the technician was "out" until Thursday. Okay, it's fine, we all make mistakes. Enter my power adapter. Apparently useless, I took it into Computer Advantage for a diagnostic. Clearly this consists of staring blankly at me, then the adapter. Hm, I can see why you can't figure out if it's the motherboard or the charger. I called AppleCare to ask about the adaptor, and they informed me that authorized apple retailers (I'm looking at you, Computer Advantage) could exchange the adapter. Not so, says computer advantage. Authorized retailers can only mail it in. . .seriously. So, standing in the store, I called AppleCare again. Needless to say, the gentleman was confused about Computer Advantage marketing themselves as a retailer if they can't do what retailers do. He graciously called PeachMac. PeachMac, vastly superior to Computer Advantage, said they could indeed diagnose my computer, and replace the adapter if necessary. Drove the 20 minutes, and I was out in 10 (hey Computer Advantage, they actually make products to utilize for diagnosing bad batteries, fyi!). I exited that building into the glorious sunshine with a new adapter, and a disgust for Computer Advantage. If my computer were gasping for its last breath, staring mournfully at me through its dimming apple, I would let it die, rather than take it to Computer Advantage. I had a fantastic experience at Computer Advantage. The manager, Larry, was extremely helpful in helping me find my new computer. I had my eye on a new Macbook and he was able to help me out through each step of the process without making me feel pressured in buying any extraneous merchandise. On November 13, contacted Computer Advantage for basic information regarding the purchase of a new iMac. Was able to talk to a live person on the second ring after punching #1. Michael, the sales rep, was extremely helpful; provided the inventory they had on hand; advised of their trade-in policy (usually not even considered by many of their competitors; and advised the availability of their technicians -- all without having to ask some questions that we did not know how to ask! On 16 November, called Michael to check his availability on 16 November. When I arrived with my old iMac, Michael and the technician (Nic) were immediately available; advised the team what I wanted; asked to have a number of files transferred; and requested a time the next day that we could pick up the new computer. Was in and out of Computer Advantage within 15 minutes, and that included looking at some additional computers for other family members. The following day, picked up the new computer; Michael and Nic advised precisely what we needed to accomplish in setting it up; advised of some additional 'what if's'; and in very short order the process was accomplished, and we were on our way. Within minutes, we had our new system up and operating with new Wi Fi features, with all files as they were prior to purchasing the new iMac. Have purchased a number of computers on the South Side and Cumberland Mall. The experience at Computer Advantage was by far the best experience we have had the pleasure of having in 20 years of purchasing computers! A great, caring team with expert technical knowledge! NO STARS!!!! Do NOT use this business. The service department said they ran diagnostics on my daughter's Mac Airbook and told me she needed a new screen at $600+. The charge for diagnostics was $45. That repair price sounded too high, so I took her Mac to the Apple Store at Cumberland. They saw where Computer Advantage had run a diagnostic check and that the result was NO ISSUE. Their diagnostics confirmed this. The Apple Store repaired her Mac onsite in 15 minutes at no cost. When I called Computer Advantage about this, they were unapologetic and full of excuses. As the Apple-approved repair specialist nearest the University of West Georgia, this company is preying on unsuspecting college students. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. read more

They CAN'T repair Apple products. They gave me a $653.00 estimate to repair a Mac Book Pro. I paid for everything they recommended. It has not worked correctly since I picked it up. On the 3rd repair attempt they told me it now wasn't worth fixing. This all has happened within a couple weeks. i will not let a "JACK LEG" fake Apple dealer touch any of the rest of the Apple products we own. read more

My experience with Computer Advantage was great! My technician was Christian and he explained to me in detail what needed to be done to my Iphone and was under a time crunch himself, but was able to finish with it before the anticipated completion time. Not to mention, they completely waived the cost of repair. I just signed up for Apple Care. Overall a very good experience! read more
