We had a broken fixed Patio Door Window. I called Central Glass Industries and they sent a Service Technician to measure and give us an estimate. The estimate was very fair and they ordered the glass. It was installed as soon as they received the replacement glass. The Technicians came when they said they would. They did an excellent job! The Technicians were Dan and Daniel. We asked a few questions and Dan was very informative. We highly recommend Central Glass and plan to call them in the near future to replace a couple of home windows. Also - when I had any phone contact with them, I spoke to Brian. We recently needed to have the dual plane glass replaced on a window. I was calling all the window repair/replacement companies here on Yelp but most said it was too small a job for them or there was a 5 window minimum or something like that. Finally realized that I should be calling a glass company instead of window repair. Called Central Glass and spoke to Brian Kelly. Sent Brian pictures of what I needed fixed and he gave me a ball park figure. Sent someone out to get exact measurements of the glass I needed to get fixed. Once they got the measurements I got a quote to fix, which was a little lower than the 'ball park' figure he gave me. Told him I wanted to go with the fix, they ordered the stuff needed. Brian called back a few days later said glass arrived and schedule a time to get work done. Repair guy showed up on time did the job. Quality of repair was great, the repair guy took his time and made sure everything was done properly. Simple small job, but they did without any fuss about being too small a project and did great work. All in all great experience. A few emails back and forth, a couple of phone calls for scheduling and confirmation. Brian was super responsive to all my questions, made the entire process easy for me. I called Chad yesterday and explained my situation. I told him I had a large glass mirror I needed removed from a bathroom, and I was afraid that it may have been glued on with globs of mastic. Chad said with the presence of a few clips, its unlikely there was any adhesive and quoted me a fair price to come out today. I want to pause for a moment and reflect on that -- when a homeowner discusses a potential concern that may make the job tougher, most contractors I know salivate at the opportunity to agree and upcharge. Not Chad. He said his team will scope it out and let me know. His team came on time, were exceedingly professional, split the glass in two with ease and hauled it out. Wow. What a wonderful experience after a not so great experience that led me to needing glass services . Our office was broken into last night and we had a huge gaping hole where our door used to be. We needed to get this repaired ASAP . Luckily my first phone call was to Brian at Central glass. He was familiar with the area and even had experience in my business complex . He told me the worst case senario would mean it would be a few days before the glass would come in. I told Brian how dire the situation was and he said he would check to see what he had in stock. Literally an hour later Brian was on site with a few different sized pieces of glass. He called me to tell me he was done and needed a quick signature . I walked into the office and asked them if they can replace fogged windows glass. Tom asked me sent them pictures and roughly windows glass size. I email him two windows glass pictures with the size I measured. Tom gave me a quick quote with a reasonable price and sent the handyman came to my house to get accurate glass measurement. I had an amazing experience with this company. Tom was the person who I initially spoke to and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had cracked our daughter's bedroom window in the apartments we live in. Tom and the team were very accommodating as I did not want my landlord to know about us switching out the glass. He is pretty strict. The guys even were okay with canceling when my landlord showed up unexpectedly lol. They asked the right questions to make sure we were very clear as to what we were purchasing. We especially liked that they also made suggestions that saved money and still we got the best deal. We've used Cental Glass twice for home window replacements in the last 6 years. Never an issue or problem with these folks, they were professional, timely and offered a fair price. My cousin had them install the windows in his new office building on Mission Blvd. in Fremont, and he was also very happy with their work, timliness and prices. I was very surprised to read about the one very unhappy client in Hayward. This is defintiely not the service we received from Central Glass. read more

WORST COMPANY I EVER USED. If I can put 0 star, I will no hesitation to put it. The company did a lousy job. I asked to replace my broken windows. Not only the charge is expensive and the workmanship is terrible. The white plastic tape wrap around the glass side like a kindergarten job. Not diagonal cutting, not totally fit, loose taping and even using broken tape. You can name it all. The worst thing is sending the photos to the manager, Tom and he claimed is not his workers work. Oh my god, the window was original from the manufacture. Broken glass area is new from his worker and he can lie. You know what, he asked me to take it out and send bring to his office to tape with no guarantee. If I know how bad his company will treat the customer, I will definitely not use him at all. If you plan to find any glass company, my recommendation is using someone else unless you have time to file complaint to BBB for its job and you enjoy to do this work. read more
