Had to replace a decent sized piece of glass 58" x 47" in a commercial building and the site visit was scheduled within a couple days, estimate prepared within a couple days, glazing install scheduled a couple days later. When the installer came, they recognize that the piece of glass that they brought was not the same tent as what was existing. They came back the very next day with a identically tinted glass pane and installed it within an hour. I was very pleased with the expediency and the level of service. Yelp sent my request to Roxy Glass, this review is only for their quoting process. Among all 4 companies, they were the slowest to respond, which took them overnight while all other 3 companies responded in less than 2 hours. And their response was to ask a bunch of questions such as your name, email, phone number, which for a moment I thought was a spam or phishing. Then another day later I got their email, asking dumb questions that I already stated in the project request. As a benchmark, by this time, I've already thoroughly communicated and discussed my options with all other three companies and obtained price quotes. Almost a day later, Roxy called me and left me a voice mail that they had a few questions. By this time I was totally fed up at their efficiency and process. Cons: Scheduling Issues: They no-showed on my original Jan 9 install date due to "double booking," which was a major inconvenience as I had already scheduled cleaners to follow them. Measurement Errors: During the rescheduled install, they realized they had measured the second window incorrectly. This required another re-order and a third visit. Billing Mishaps: Despite calling specifically to update my payment method for the final balance, they still charged the old card on file. Condensation: Out of all the windows (old and new) in my home, only the new one they had just installed has condensation every morning. I don't know if this is their fault or not. Summary: It took from mid-December to February 6th to replace just two windows. As a homeowner I expect the contractor to be professional, reliable, and respectful. I hired Roxy for a small job to replace a broken mirror which had a light switch and a makeup mirror attached and was set inside a tile frame. Because of the chance of breakage during drilling holes, I agreed to pay $700 beyond the cost of installing a mirror. Where I was disappointed: The initial crew installed the mirror off-center in the space, and the switch plate was not flush with the mirror. I did not have an opportunity to approve the placement. When I questioned it, they said they'd fix the switch at another appointment but couldn't do anything about it being off-center. They also failed to clean up their mess. It is annoying to spend so much time trying to get the job done right. I had to make multiple phone calls, texts, and returns to the job site. Communication depended on who was communicating. I was promised the office would call to reschedule, but except for the first time, I had to call them multiple times just to schedule the extra appointments. Communication between the person doing the measuring and the second and third returns was fine. The office personnel were trained to apologize, but had no authority to do anything about the problem. The owner was loud and argumentative and kept saying "what do you want us to do? ", as though he didn't understand the issue which I had communicated in multiple voice mails, photos, and texts. This felt like a "you get what you pay for" experience. In January, I did my due diligence and contacted three different window companies to get quotes for a residential window replacement project. Roxy Glass had by far the lowest quote, everyone I spoke to was friendly, someone always answered the office phone, and the reviews were generally good, so I decided to go with this company. Unfortunately, there were many mistakes and delays and general disorganization that happened after that. I signed my contract with them in January and the project wasn't finished until the end of April. The project was to replace 3 large windows, one sliding glass patio door, and one small custom window. The first time the crew showed up, they brought the wrong kind of windows -- nail-on rather than the retrofit windows I had ordered. They offered a work around, but I declined because it was not what I ordered and it would not have been the same quality. Another time, they cancelled the morning of because they didn't have the right materials. Another time, they brought a clear window rather than the frosted window I had ordered, and the window was the wrong size. For the small, custom window, the glue around the edges of the panes is visible in some parts and it didn't come with a built-in mechanism to keep the window open, so I had to ask them on the spot to fix it, and they went out and bought manual clips that hold the window open. One of the side panels on the sliding glass door came with many scratches on it, and I had to ask them to put some trim to cover it up, as the scratches would not come out. They did not bring their own drop cloths or tarps, so I was glad I had my own. When I went to do my final payment, they didn't have proof of my prior payment, so I had to send them a screenshot of my bank transaction. Given so many issues, I asked for a discount, and in the end, I was offered $150 off -- for a 5-figure project. Overall, I like my new windows, but this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. read more

Instead of taking time to respond with a LIE that you called the next day, how about apologize for your BLATANT OVERSIGHT on several levels starting with the email. Roxy Glass Company had installed 4 of window glasses on May 2024. Two of them were getting frosted in the morning during winter season. The rest of my window glasses didn't have this kind of issue. I called them and provided the photos and videos to them. They explained to me that this is just normal because their window glasses are good quality. Is this making sense? As I mentioned in my previous review. I was contacted by someone from your company who offered me 2 options, 1. An after hours appointment and 2. A weekend appointment. So where I'm getting my information from, is directly from your employees. And NO, I never asked for a discount before having someone come out. YOU offered me the discount because your company could not keep their promises when it came to scheduling. You asked me if would be willing to reschedule for Monday, and then proceeded to offer me a discount if I accepted. And no, I will not be doing business with you. Stop trying to twist my words. As for the driver. His name was Vic. He called me twice to which I did not answer because I was at work. I had told him to text me. Him being rude was lying to me, saying I was his last customer and he could not wait. When your employees at the office told me he had two other appointments after me. So that was a lie. And then he said, he was not late, that he was on time. I never accused him of being late. I only said that I scheduled for 5pm. You should talk to your employees, especially the new ones, who don't know how to schedule or inform the customer that there is no exact time scheduling, because I was never told that to begin with. read more

The installers (Felipe and Jonathan) that came to install my glass were on time, actually a little early which was convenient. They were very professional. They made contact before they came to let me know what their location was and about how long it would be before they arrive.They did quality work as the glass that was installed was for a back door window panel. The trim for the panel looks exactly the same as the original. The window glass that was installed on the garage window was quick and I didn't realize they have done that window first. They were very reasonably priced as others were charging about $100 more. read more

(My first review) Very poor at responding for quote. Got calls from 3 different individuals, and no action by any of them. It's a time sink (2) My review after doing business with SJS who did call and and let me know that they had phone issues. I ultimately liked what they had to say and hired them to put in our shower. We got the reduced iron (Ultra Clear), frameless . Jeff's measurements were absolutely on the money. Tarnell was our installer and he did a perfect job of installing the glass after giving us a complete run-down on the do's and don't of the door. With good communications and great performance, I upped my rating from 1 (due to no return phone calls) - to a 5 having now worked with 3 members of SJS. They know what they are doing and though their price was not the lowest, it was worth the cost - and it was less than than some higher bids. I look for value and performance, and got both. I asked for 5 quotes. I took the least expensive one and the guy came out and couldn't lift the two casement windows out because my house settled and the centered was pinched. The broken one was the middle stationary one. He left and I had to follow up on it and the company responded that they couldn't take the job because they wouldn't be able to get my window out. I worried that I would have to get a brand new window assembly and my stucco would be broken and then I would have to repaint, etc. I contacted Roxy Glass and their rep came out and took measurements. I told him about the issue of the pinching and he said, "We are professionals, we can fix your window, no worries." Victor Trejo came to install the window and he was able to remove center broken window and replace it. I told Victor about the other company and he says he is able to do it without removing the casement windows. Roxy Glass staff are indeed professionals and I would recommend them to anyone looking for glass work. I didn't get the estimator's name but I do get Victor Trejo's name and he provided excellent service and cleaned up after the job. Disappointed as it seems this place has great reviews and prompt service but sadly that hasn't been the case for me. Oct 19 - initial appointment to check out and measure glass Oct 20 - received quote and shared with HOA Oct 25 - HOA signed off and sent half payment and mailed the other half to me to provide to them upon completion. Nov 3 - called to follow up was told they received the glass, needed to inspect it, prior to scheduling an appointment. Nov 7 - Roxy Glass finally called me and said they could come out tomorrow Nov 8 - Installation Day or so I thought....the estimator came in with one other guy and asked to look at the window again and then says they didn't bring a long enough ladder and would have to come back tomorrow. The estimator didn't note that at the initial visit? It was the same person. I asked what time they would come and he said the office would call to arrange the time. 4:30pm and no call from the office, so I called. Scheduling department was gone for the day but noted they would have someone call me in the morning but likely not happening the following day. Don't say it can be done unknowingly! Nov 9 - appointment scheduled for Nov 14! Not today, and there was nothing sooner. Hoping it actually gets done on November 14. Will update my review then. Fingers crossed there! I had an unusually large dining room glass window that had cracked, quite severely. After several attempts to find a company that could arrange a replacement unit, I chose Roxy Glass. I communicated, frequently, with Shawn B., who was very informative and supportive, during our email and telephone exchanges. When it came time for measurements and installation, the crew (led by Victor and Kevin) were exceptionally equipped to deliver and install the new glass unit (although it weighed close to 200 pounds, four of them brought it up several stairs and lifted it into place on a balcony). All in all, I was very pleased with the workmanship, support and quality of the work. Kudos to the entire group at Roxy for a job well done. read more

Fantastic workers. Were clean and quiet and quick. They even washed the window that they put in. It was a huge glass for the sliding glass door. It was difficult to get out, but they persevered. they were kind enough to look at a window in my house that I was having problems with. They fixed the top. it was just a matter of pushing the window onto the runners, which I had not perceived. the price was very good, the best I had gotten as an estimate. Really liked the work. They broke some of the window that they had taken out when they put it on the ground, no big deal, They spent the next 20 minutes vacuuming it all up and making sure there was no glass left. i did help them with my broom and shovel, so we got it done in no time. Our exterior glass was damaged on July 2nd, the whole outside pane shattered. It happened during July 4 weekend when most people were out of town. We were about to go on a vacation and it was stressful because we were about to cancel it because of the glass, luckily Roxy was working on Saturday and was able to send staff to check out our glass. The great thing is we had two panes and they informed us it was laminated and would not collapse so we were able to leave. Roland and Victor were our installers and I really liked them, they tried removing our plantation window frame even though it was not their job and came back to do a professional and quick glass installation once we removed the frame.
