Owner gave me a bill of sale for a car and then decided to sell it to someone else. We had discussed payment on Thursday and Friday had "bought" the car. Gave me a bill of sale, said I'd contact my bank and off the transaction goes. Should've been done before End of Business day. I tried to contact the owner and he ghosted me for three days (Friday thru Monday) and finally said he sold the car to someone else, shortly before opening on Monday. We were looking for a preowned BMW with options that are a little hard to find, so ended up traveling to Central Motor Sales since they were one of two dealerships in the state that had the car in stock. We first drove by when they were closed, and liked the appearance of the dealership, as well as the peek we had at the car. We came back the next weekend and bought it. It was hands down the best experience that we've had at a dealership -- no pressure, no haggling, just a good deal on a super nice car. We will start our search at CMS next time we're in the market. I recently visited their lot and later their website to check prices. Most all of the inventory they have listed says "SOLD". They had only a few car available, mostly overpriced BMTrouble-Yous. So I decided to provide them with some customer feedback as I have purchased here before (from owner Eliot back then) but would never buy anything here after the return voicemail I got in response to my feedback. My feed back to them was I was disappointed that they had few cars to actually sell but lots of listed SOLD cars. In response I got an obnoxious voicemail from the owner i presume. He was ranting and raving with F bombs and other profanities regarding my customer feedback. Not a smart way to do business to say the least. I would discourage anyone from buying anything from this place after that. I can just imagine how this nut case would react if you bought a car and brought it back when something goes wrong. Heed my warning. This guy was extremely rude and I'm saving his voicemail for anyone who has any doubts and who would like to hear it. Safe to say Eliot no longer owns this place. read more

Ideal buying experience. This dealership was recommended to me by my mechanics- who I've trusted for 15+ years- and they don't give compliments lightly. I called to inquire about a used Audi which was clearly and comprehensively described on their website. Mike was honest, friendly, and offered to have a runner drive the car to my mechanics to be inspected. No charge, no hassle, no guilt trip (like the other used car dealers....) and I hadn't even been to see the car yet. My mechanics said the car was in perfect condition, so a few days later I made the trip to Central Motor Sales to test drive it. This was one of the most pleasant car experiences I have had where I think I did pretty well cost wise. I bought the car without a warranty (which I ended up regretting a little) as there was one very large repair six months after I bought the car, but otherwise the service was top-notch. I was really pleased with Dan who was my sales guy, as well as Elliott, and with the lack of hassles and annoying bartering and bickering that goes on during the typical car purchase process you see at one of the big box stores like Boch or Herb Chambers. I knew the optimal pricing for both my trade in and the used car I was buying, and I was pleased that it was pretty low haggle experience. When I shook their hands on the way out to pick up the car, I was pleased that all of my fingers were still there, and didn't regret the purchase a week later such as I had at the Lexus Herb at Chambers. One really good benefit is that now they have a full-time mechanic who specializes only in luxury European German and Japanese cars and Kevin seems very good at what he does. I had a great experience buying from Central Auto Sales. About a month ago, they sold me a BMW X3. The car was impeccable, a rare find with low mileage and manual transmission. Since the dealership seeks out BMW's and other luxury cars, they employ a mechanic who specializes in those cars. After buying the car at auction, they did a full inspection of the vehicle and proactively replaced a couple of the typical trouble spots that the X3 has. The sales staff was helpful and not pushy. They were honest and made the trade in of my old car and transfer of my registration seamless. The real reason for me to write this review is because of the follow up. After driving the car for about a week, I noticed a noise coming from the cabin blower motor. I called them about it, and without any hesitation they told me to bring it in and they would replace it free of charge. I bought a BMW X3 in late April. When I test drove the car, the driver's side mirror was not working and I was told it would be fixed. A new mirror motor was installed but the mirrors were not able to be adjusted correctly. I was again told the issue was being fixed, when I went to pick up the car the mirrors still didn't work, I was assured that they would follow up with me to get the mirrors fixed. I have called 4 times, no call back, no messages. I realize now that I should never have taken possession of the car without the repair being made correctly but the owner insisted he would take care of it. Since that time, the thermostat and water pump went to the tune of $1100. Since then Dan from Central motors contacted me and said they had been having some issues at the dealership and wanted to make things right for me. THEY TOTALLY STEPPED UP!!! They set up a time for me to bring the car in to have the mirrors repaired, provided a free loaner for 2 days, and reimbursed me for the repairs. I have to say I was very surprised and I would now definitely go back and recommend them. read more

I bought a BMW 3 series from them in 2010. It was a bad car from the beginning, major oil leak discovered after purchase, bumbled around back and forth with Central Auto trying to fix it. In the end I had the car less then a year then traded it as it needed a new universal joint, power steering pump, and, unbelievably, a new steering rack. That car cost me thousands over a very short span of time, I lost out on the trade but had to get out of bad situation. I believe they picked up a lemon at an auto auction, probably unbeknownst to them (I hope) and passed it on to me. They outsource their mechanical work and the gentleman they used couldn't figure out my car to save himself. In the end they brought it to a BMW dealer who fixed it. But this was a long, drawn out process (I was contemplating using the Lemon Law to get out of it), and they continually jerked me around in the process. My advice to you - get your car inspected before you buy by someone who really knows cars, regardless of who you buy it from, these guys or anybody else. read more

I bought a car at Central Auto three years ago; it turned out to be a total lemon; nothing but problem after problem; I finally dumped it. I called Dan and talked to him and told him about my experience expecting he might throw me a bone i.e. offer to help me find a new car I would like and give me a good value on a trade, but he never called me back; never attempted to help me find a new car. To me, that means he didn't really care about my business and thus I went elsewhere. This place has to be the worst place EVER!!!!! I bought an e550 from them in November 2013 and did a car fax on it and it came back a clean car.. But when I bought it i noticed the heated seats weren't working and that there was a slight knocking noise in the front of the car.. Called them brought it back and they said they fixed the issues.. Well it turned out the car had been in 2 collisions one of which had done so much damage I ended up spending $5000 in the space of 6 months and nobody could fix this problem.. Eventually i called mercedes american and they tried to fix the engine mounts thinking that this was the problem, basically the car has a whole new front end and it still knocks all the time.. But this wasnt even the worst part we then found out it was crashed and it was leaking water and it burnt the electrics out i it... I called Elliot the dealer and he just treated me like a fool and was telling me that peole had just taken mu money and there was nothing wrong with the car, so i gave him the car told him to fix and he couldnt!!!!! he told me he would get me a new car but everytime i call this guy he never answers and doesnt return my texts.. I now today went to trade the car in and as told that my car which should be worth 25,000 is actually only worth $13,000... Do yourself a favour and buy nothing from this guy he is nothing but a conartist!!!!!!!! read more
