"BUYER BEWARE". On 4/21/26 I dropped our car off for service. I thought it was riding a little rough and wanted it checked out. The following day i returned a call to Franklin Ford around 11:00 AM. The service sales person told me I needed struts on both front and rear for a total cost or around $8,500. He also went on to say that I would be needing breaks on all four wheels. After I got over the initial shock I made the mistake of agreeing to have the work done. After thinking about it, I decided I should get another estimate and advised them as such when I picked up the car at 4:00 PM. I was told the parts were ordered and I was charged a $180.00 restocking fee. I was never told there would be a restocking fee if I cancelled. The following day I brought the car to a well established and highly respected service shop. The owner test drove it and found nothing wrong with struts. On May 11th he performed a more comprehensive inspection of the vehicle and again found nothing wrong with the struts. He did however note that the rear wheels only did need the brakes replaced. The front breaks were like new. I find it hard to understand how two service shops can be so far apart on the diagnosis Oh, forgot to mention, they replaced a rear windshield wiper blade for the second time and it's still not working properly! Franklin Ford has provided ATROCIOUS service for the F150 I purchased from them in 2018. For instance, the last time I had them change the oil, the mechanic failed to twist the oil plug the final quarter turn, causing a leak. Another time my truck sat in the lot for 45 minutes without so much as a tire pressure check. Since I only had one hour to spare, I drove away WITHOUT ANY service. Franklin Ford's most recent failure to provide basic customer service was when I made an online appointment. Three days after I made the appointment, Franklin Ford called and canceled it with less than 24 hours notice, blaming the customer for not checking all appropriate boxes. UNBELIEVABLE. Only inertia keeps Franklin Ford from folding. It sure as Hell isn't their customer service. (One star selected by default. If I could give negative stars, I would.) read more

My husband did a test drive on a CPO vehicle, brought me back the next day for me to drive it. We were 100% buying this car but walked away. Sticker was 26,995. We had 20K cash and secured financing for the remainder through our credit union. The salesman said we had to finance through them and for a minimum of 15K. What?? We were told it was because of the 'deep discounts' that dealership offered. We went back to looking online and Franklin was 1-2K above other places with CPO cars with similar mileage. We were then told we could do the Franklin Find financing and then pay it off right away. WHAT? Why would we finance a loan for 7K with our credit union after getting approved for 15K through Franklin Ford, then go in with the cash and check from the credit union? Total racket. **Avoid Franklin Ford Dealership at All Costs - Unacceptable Service, Poor Treatment, and Faulty Vehicles** I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a pre-owned certified 2021 Ford Expedition from Franklin Ford in Massachusetts, and I can say without hesitation that this has been the worst car-buying experience of my life. After spending nearly $50,000 on a vehicle, I expected to receive something in working order, but instead, I was sold a defective car with multiple issues and faced completely unprofessional treatment from their staff. First, when the car was delivered, it was dirty -- something that should never happen when you're paying such a significant amount. But the issues didn't stop there. The pre-collision warning system was malfunctioning, the adaptive cruise control wasn't working, and I experienced severe vibrations while driving due to poorly balanced tires. To top it all off, the rear windshield wiper was broken. In addition, the transmission jerks violently when switching into drive, making the driving experience unsafe and unpleasant. The driver's side retractable footstep also gets stuck in place, making it impossible to use properly. These are all issues that should have been addressed before selling me the vehicle, especially for a "certified" pre-owned car that's supposed to meet high standards of quality and performance. When I reached out to resolve these issues, I was told by Randy, the sales manager, that it would take up to 2 to 3 weeks to fix everything -- an absurd timeline for a car that should've been delivered in perfect condition in the first place. To make matters worse, I was offered a Ford Escape as a replacement vehicle, even though I had paid for a full-size SUV. When I expressed my frustration, finance manager Manny began shouting at me in a meeting, telling me I either take the replacement vehicle or "do what I have to do." This level of disrespect is completely unacceptable, especially when you're a customer who has just made such a large investment. I shouldn't have to be treated like this after spending so much money. The lack of accountability and blatant disregard for customer service at Franklin Ford is appalling. If you're considering purchasing from this dealership, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The dealership called me prior to seeing this review and has taken action to make this right. I will update this rating once everything is resolved..... I'm happy to report that everything was taken care of. My truck is driving better now than it has in a while and the communication and service was top notch. We all have bumps in the road and I think that is what this was. I do not foresee what happened to me on the 13th happening again and will continue to use Franklin Ford for my service needs. I really hate having to write this type of review. For the past few years I have been using the service department at Franklin Ford without issue and have generally been happy with my experience. In early December of 2024 I called to see about having the transmission looked at in my truck, the transmission had been skipping a bit and seemed to need a fix per Ford TSB 22-2428. I was told that they were backed up with transmission appointments and that the soonest I could have my vehicle looked at was January 14, 2025. I was ok with that, I'm a loyal person and they had always done right by me. I dropped my vehicle off on the morning of the 13th. The 14th passed without any communication and about midway through the 15th I called to see what the status was on my truck. I was told my truck had not even been looked at it.....they were backed up with transmission jobs.....odds are they would not get to my truck until the following week at the earliest.... Are you kidding me? Why did you have me schedule an appointment for 6 weeks out? Why didn't anyone call me to tell me this or inform me of this when I dropped off my truck? I was looking for an elusive '22 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands and was striking out. I live in CT and Ford dealers had few and none equipped as desired (darn chip shortage). I did a nationwide search online and found ONE that Franklin Ford had in order unsold. They didn't have the car yet but let me put a deposit on it and low and behold it came in and 1 week early. I worked with Ron who responded almost immediately after my online inquiry and was such a pleasure! Knowledgeable, professional and just so easy to work with. Super efficient! I traveled the almost 90 minutes to do all the paperwork and got excellent financing (low rate), and a thorough walk through of the car. THEN we made plans to meet at a CT DMV location to register the car since there's no temporary plates in Massachusetts. So, I got an impossible car to find, an easy to work with sales pro and delivery service at my local DMV. I don't know what else I could have asked for! 5 stars. One word, "Horrible" They would not allow me to buy a van unless I took out a loan through them. Will not except cash or checks for a purchase. Ended up getting the financing through them because it is very hard to find a low milage pre owned van right now never mind new! When I finally got the Transit 250 van after it was sent to have a ladder rack installed, there were literally plastic panels on the exterior falling off. All the clips had been broken out of the metal body of the truck. Also other missing pieces on the body. That is just the half of what happened to it after I looked at it for purchase. MONEY FIRST - CUSTOMERS LAST!!! Service Department could not care less about their customers. We brought our Escape in for routine maintenance. When we came in to pick it up, the check engine light came on and it almost sputtered to a halt. We got back to the dealership and had to leave it with them. It sat in their lot for five business days before they even looked at it. Once they finally did, they informed us that the engine was shot and needed a complete replacement. Although the car had only 98,000 miles, they revealed that this failure was a known Ford issue with the 2.0 liter EcoBoost engines. They told us it would cost $5,000 to $6,000. We informed them that we had purchased the extended warranty, which they should have known but failed to mention. It took them another week to process the claim and we were told that it would be about four weeks. It has now been six weeks since our car has been out of commission following their service. During all this time, they have NEVER contacted us to let us know what has been going on. I have called them six times, only to leave voice mails. They called me back only twice, but had nothing to offer. We understand about delays in getting a new engine. The real problem has been that they have refused to provide us a loaner. My wife has been without her car for six weeks. They have loaners and continue to give them out to new incoming service customers, but not to us. My assumption is that bring in new service customers WITH NEW MONEY is more important to them than doing the right thing and giving my wife a loaner. THE WORST!!! read more

Our entire experience with Franklin Ford was completely satisfying. We found a certified Edge Sport online, made an inquiry, and within an hour pulled into their dealership. Upon arrival the Edge was pulled up front with the AC on, much appreciated on a 95 degree day. We were promptly greeted by the sales manager Rich who handed us off to Eric our salesman. Eric was awesome from beginning to end. Just a regular guy and the opposite of many salesmen I've encountered over the years. He knew the vehicles features inside and out. No BS. No gags. We purchased the vehicle and left with a smile on our face. The next day Eric stayed in constant contact and he had it registered with new plates and inspection sticker by 4pm. When we arrived to pick it up it was sparkling clean. Eric went through all the features with my wife and helped pair her phone. No issues. Just competence. I buy a LOT of vehicles for my business. I originally reserved a Bronco via Ford in July 2020 and when I was ready to order in July 2021 I visited the dealership and worked with Ron S. Ron and George C. Took my order, provided me with a P&S confirming pricing and worked to get my order in queue. They never ignored an email for an update on the progress of my order. When I finally got a build date, George kept me updated and when it finally showed up, they didn't waste a minute calling. They worked with me to complete my purchase while I was on vacation and there was no monkey business. I found them to be very honest. It's a business they do need to and deserve to make some profit so I wasn't expecting to work them on price given Broncos are selling for over MSRP. Recently I had my 2018 Ford F-150 in for a water leak from the moon roof. Still have a bad leak. While I was assured that it would be repaired when I dropped it off I was less confident that it was repaired at all when I picked it up. Thanks Franklin Ford for actually fixing the problem. I was charged $700.00 for what I ask myself. Now they have left me with no choice other than to sell or trade in my vehicle because I don't think that anyone can fix this problem and I don't want to have to drive around in a fish bowl. So in conclusion Ford doesn't back the quality of there products and their dealerships either don't want to fix defects or are unable to. I've been buying Ford's for 30 years and thanks to Franklin Ford I'm done with Ford products. This will not be the last time Franklin Ford will be hearing from me. I bought my flex from here in 2018, part of how they sell you is lifetime oil changes for free, you just pay the oil. They did this for 5 years, until today the man played stupid today me no such thing. I had such a terrible experience today I collected all my records. Which is when doofus Mike couldn't even hide his blatant lie anymore as previous free oil change printed out. I previously had tires rotated while doing oil change at same time... never got charged 72$ before. Even after mike is exposed he only gives me a lousy ten bucks more off after royally screwing me over. I went in for a censor problem that only showed up after cruise control was on for a while. AVOID THIS PLACE. I took my Fiesta in because the check engine light was on. The employee, Dave, called later that day and said the $200 I paid for diagnostics was not enough, and they wanted me to authorize more time to keep looking. I agreed to do this and they called later in the day and said they hoped they had fixed the issue.... I went to pick up my car and paid them $400. Literally as I'm driving home, the check engine light comes back on. I get home and call to tell them this, and Dave says he will talk to the technician and call me the next morning. He never calls, so the next day I call them. Leave a voicemail. Few hours later I call again, and he tells me the technician has gone on lunch but that he will call me in a few hours once they talk. I don't hear from them for the rest of the day, so I leave another voicemail around 5pm. The next day passes and still no call from them. Finally two days later I call again, no one picks up. I call the dealership and have to get the woman who picks up to go down to the service center and make Dave call me back. He acts as if I haven't been trying to get a hold of him for the past few days. Tells me the tech found nothing and I'll need to bring my car back to them. All in all, this car has been a nightmare of problems and been to multiple auto shops before finally taking it to Ford. You'd think Ford would know how to diagnose and fix their own vehicles. I ended up wasting $400 for them to tell me they didn't do anything and don't know how to fix it. I'll definitely never buy another crappy Ford again and will stick to reliable brands with people who actually know what they're doing. Terrible service, terrible communication. read more

I bought a Mustang Mach-E from Franklin Ford about a year ago. Shortly after I purchased it, it appears that someone tried to break into the side rear window with a sharp object (maybe a crowbar or something) damaging the rubber molding. I contacted Franklin Ford for assistance and they ordered the parts and then helped to coordinate the glass company to complete the repair at their repair center in Franklin. It was covered by insurance and didn't cost me very much (low deductible plus Franklin Ford let me have the parts at cost so it only cost me about $100 out of pocket). I appreciate the fact that Franklin Ford went above and beyond to assist and manage the repair. I would definitely recommend Franklin Ford to all of my local friends. read more

Drove 30 miles to test drive a Lincoln. Dealership called my wife three times during the afternoon after sending an email inquiry. Yup, she got three different sales people. WTF? Organize much? Set an appointment for 530. Started pouring so we were 10 min late but got called again at 535 asking if we're still coming. Arrive 5 min after the call and they're jump starting the vehicle in the lot. They pull it up to the front door and it dies. Sales mgr (I assume) comes out with the jump box again and says you might want to come back another time to test drive the car. No apologies, no remorse, no consideration that we drive 45 minutes and clearly no planning. He talked to us like we just rolled down the street from Woonsocket. No call back to update us or apologize still. Had similar bad experiences last weekend at a different dealer in Raynham. The industry is abysmal and shameful today. with no scruples. Was reminded today that I'll never return to Franklin Ford. I'm part of a Ford family so I get z plan benefits, fixed below invoice pricing. My regular Ford dealer didn't have the exact car I wanted in stock, Franklin Ford did (so they said) but was unwilling to swap inventory with our local dealership. So we drove down to little Franklin Ford. Simple transaction right...No way...Lowball (much lower than our dealership) offer on the trade in, upsell this, that...NO. Come to find out the car was on order, no idea when it would actually be delivered. At least a week, maybe 2 later we received the car. Reminded today because Franklin Ford sold our information (or gave it for commission) to some 3rd party Ford Alert that kept calling. Avoid the service department. My husbands truck needed a new power steering column covered by warranty. Two weeks later he couldn't get it into gear they said the transmission fluid was empty. Guess they don't check fluid levels or do 100 point inspections. The transmission needed to be replaced covered by warranty yet we still needed to pay 500 dollars for labor? They can't give him an inspection sticker because a small piece of plastic on the tailgate is broken, but they can order a replacement piece uh no thank you. we drove down the road to a gas station and got an inspection sticker the right away no mention any broken plastic. He had his truck back a week and now he is broke down on the side of the road. They are the only service shop in the area that takes the after market warranty we have. I would rather pay for quality repay than risk my family's life over a stupid warranty read more

I brought my van here after I git sick of the rude and arrogant people in the service department of my local dealer. Instead of naming them, I'll leave it at that, and people can decide if it sounds like their dealership. :-/ Anyway, I brought it in for its 30K mile service, and the people in the service department were very nice, and were good about letting me know about the progress. I thought the service was expensive, and had to tell them to do nothing beyond what was called for in the service guide. All that meant was that I skipped the $100 fuel injection cleaning service. I think using Chevron Techron in the tank is more than adequate. But I guess all the dealers are approaching $100/hour service rate, if they're not over it already. I miss my local mechanic in Dunstable, (See my other review, of "West Auto Repair") This place was $89/hour, so it's probably typical today. Maybe I'm just too cheap. :-) read more

This is the internet, maybe you have heard about it. It is not 1976 anymore where you get the customer in your database and onto the lot "at all costs" and hope one of your polyester suited salesman can "swing them into something reeeeaal nice".
