My son was seen in the office for a second opinion for his shoulder injury he got from a car accident. He saw Dr, Kerker who was excellent he took the time to explain what was going On. He sent him to the spine specialist in the office to make sure his problem wasn't coming from his neck or spine. He had Surgery this week. The night of surgery he called at 10pm to check on him. I waited almost 2 hours today to see my doctor. I left because I had to park on Centre ave where it is 2 hour parking. The Orthopedic group parking lot was filled. They had over 30 patients waiting in a small office with bad a/c in 90 degree temps, 1 very small elevator. I am sure they were over occupancy. If there was ever an emergency and ppl had to flee quick forget it. Why they booked sooo many patients as once was desperation. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr Scott Silverberg. I was taken in on time and was diagnosed quickly and accurately. The staff was both friendly and professional. Dr. Silverberg is a very caring physician and I will continue to use their office for my care. read more

Doctors may be good but support staff, especially those on the phone should learn proper etiquette. Hint it is not proper to just hang up on someone and not say bye or did you need something else, which usually happens after they leave you on hold for minutes at a time. read more

Who gives these people good review? It must be the staff. Waited 40 minutes to see Dr. Silverberg. The staff was very rude, but the waiting room was full so I thought they must know what they are doing. Wrong! Saw Dr. Silverberg, he was not friendly, very flat and I need to have knee surgery. He said it was a simple operation and he does this all the time. I took his confidence and the fact the waiting room was full to think he must be very good. Also, my family doc told me I would likely need knee surgery, so I figured this was my only option. My family doc told me it was an easy operation and anyone could do it. After surgery, I came back to Central Orthopedic Group for physical therapy. The physical therapists were very nice. I missed one session. After missing one session, I saw Dr. Silverberg and he was upset that I missed my one session. He wouldn't let it go that I missed my PT session. After another few follow-up visits, he informed me that I needed surgery on my knee again! He was so cold and rude and insinuated it was my fault! Horrible bedside manner. I couldn't believe it. I went to 2 other surgeons and no one else wants to touch it, so I have to go back. They have so much business, they don't seem to care much at all. read more

Horrible, horrible place. I would give it 5 negative stars if I could. It's more of a butcher shop. Packed waiting room. Waited to be seen by a dr, 90 minutes with a broken ankle despite an appointment. It's a conveyer belt for personal injury and workers comp. claims . Rude staff at the front office. Saw Dr, Mathen. Very obnoxious and full of himself. He asked me if I wanted to hear good or bad news first. When I said bad he answered : " you need a surgery and there are no good news". Could no believe what I was hearing. Was told to schedule a surgery with the front office. After waiting another 30 min. Front office told me to go home and someone will call with the date and time of surgery. No one ever called . Needless to say I went to a different practice was operated within a day as opposed to dr. mathen's suggestion to wait a week . Just horrible all around. Complete disregard to patients and their dignity. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

Checo is very unprofessional. Can't return phone calls. MRI over a week ago and still hasn't called with results. Called the office multiple times and got the run around and now Friday appointment is conveniently cancelled because he's so busy. Will never recommend this place to anyone. Plenty of other physicians on Long Island that actually make time for their patients. read more

Ive have been a patient here for over 20 years. The doctors and staff are very personable, friendly and warm. It is a busy office but everyone is attended to in a timely manner and the doctors always take their time with you answering any and all questions you may have. This place is an absolute joke. After waiting a half hour waiting for a parking spot, which I never found thanks to over booking patients. Waited over an hour to see a " DR " . if you want to wait for at least an hour in the waiting room, definitely go here. oh and also, if you want to wait on the phone for at least 20 minutes to make an appointment, this is the place for you! i called to change an appointment i had scheduled and left a message for them to call me back. of course, they never did. so two days later i called again and after a very long time on hold i finally was able to speak to a real human. when i asked her to change my appointment, she said she was looking in the computer and said that i didn't actually have any appointment scheduled. i informed her that i had the appointment card right in front of me. her response: "oh, weird." glad to know that i would have shown up and been told that i didn't have an appointment, and probably waited even longer than the usual hour. the most baffling part about the entire thing is that there are about 10 different receptionists working there. you would think that they would actually be able to answer the phone once in a while and help people out. if you're calling to see an orthopedist, clearly you need some sort of immediate care... yet they make it nearly impossible! anyway, i still go here because dr. baez is SMOKIN HOT! read more

After many years of quality treatment at central orthopedic I feel it necessary to warn patients of an unfortunate experience I had while being treated by dr yohan lee. I'm a older retired person with chronic issues and have been treated by many pain management doctors for decades. Without going into person detail I found dr lee completely unresponsive to my needs and in my opinion unqualified to treat patients with complex conditions. In trying to work through treatment with dr lee I found both he and his staff to be rude and unresponsive. The physicians at central orthopedic have all been wonderful, however I don't believe dr lee is one of them. Other excellent pain management doctors are available locally. read more

My 8 year old son saw Dr. Goldstein in the RVC office. It was easy to get an appointment. Dr, Goldstein was amazing with my son. He was funny, kind and very informative. I was very impressed with him, as was my son. I would highly recommend him if you need an ortho for your child. read more

Dr. Checo has been treating my back and neck injury for four years. He has helped me try all alternative options to surgery. When the time came for surgery, he didn't push me and gave me educational materials. I felt prepared for the surgery and knew what I was committing to. I have referred him to multiple other people, and they all love him. read more

The Physical therapy should be taken apart since they have no clue what they are doing. Rude, poor customer service, no idea about scheduling, tell you one thing, and don't deliver. I overheard them telling a new patient how they have 1 person for eval, and then assign you to one person for the therapy. I must have seen 6 different people there and no one knows what was done before. I am doing the same things for the past 6 weeks now, and I could do this on my own, which I am doing or will go to another P/T group. read more

Great staff and doctors, very professional and helpful. The wait can be long at times, but it's because the doctors' take their time with each patient to make sure they get the best care possible. Absolutely horrible! I am never going back there again. Dr. Ong was rude, never returned my calls, and in the end failed to tell me what was wrong with my foot after 2 weeks of not being able to walk on it. He told me I didn't need physical therapy and then when I went to a doctor who KNEW what they were doing I was finally treated for a sprained ankle and given physical therapy. He said he would prescribe me pain medication and failed to do so. Stay away from this place!! read more

I Live on long island and I Needed to find a orthopedic Doctor in The Area . I went to this office for help . The young woman at the front desk was Professional as well as the one who took my xray . The problem was I had the misfortune of Dealing with Doctor Mitchell Keschner . He was Rude, Abusive and the worst bedside Manner I have ever come across in my entire Life . I have met many doctors over the years as I have had them as Clients as well as Being a Patient But this Man was Unprofessional , Crude and just Plain Rude as I stated . made me feel as if I was on the Witness stand . I simply tried to answer his questions and Remain Polite but everything I said after His Questions Became a Debate with Him and Just a Nasty Person to Deal with . He lacked Kindness and compassion and it was the worst experience with any doctor I have ever met in My life . I have never had a problem with this practice. I started seeing Dr. Silverberg in the mid 90's. He has done knee arthroscopic surgery on both my knees as well as my wife and also my daughter who had major surgery on her knee from a basketball injury, all with great results. In 2005 he referred me to Dr. Baez who has since done replacements on both knees. My wife and i have had Carpal tunnel surgery performed by Dr Keschner. All these surgeries have gone very well. I have never experienced the problems with staff, doctor, PT that others complain about. Yes, you may have a wait but I have gone to many other doctors where it is much worse and it is true the parking is tough at times but that is do the amount of patients due to number of doctors, PT and other things going on. Maybe the Massapequa office will alleviate some of this when it opens. All in all I am very happy with the practice. read more

Went to their office in Rockville Centre, turns out the finger that was fractured on my 94 years old mother was turned into a big deal. The clerk made a point to let the whole office and waiting room know that this had to be done through my car insurance. Not taking into account my mother was sitting for 1 hour. If she did not say anything was would of just got examined and they could of put the splint on which by the way came off before we got to the car. She did not want it on. We went to the doctor two days before, got x rayed, went into Urgent Care no one said any thing about No Fault. Now I have a claim on my insurance, and my mothers finger will probably not heal correct because she does not want to obey the instructions of the doctor, But, the worst part every office is so afraid of the Hippa Law, meanwhile this big mouth clerk was blabbing all our information to everyone good job. read more

i called for an emergency appointment and the girls in scheduling where so helpful and they got me in right away. then i came in to see the doctor and he was great had an amazing bed side manor and he took his time with me. he explained everything and answered all of my question. i would highly recommend the office. read more

When I called to set up an appointment following a trip to the ER for a very badly sprained ankle (my foot turned black and swollen from toes to knee), I was asked for my insurance information. I told COA that I had United Healthcare. I said that I was given the referral to COA by the ER. An appt was scheduled with their ankle specialist. I go to COA, I give them my UHC card to copy and I fill out a lot forms. And the end of the appointment, I paid my co-pay. I was given a much better air cast than the flimsy one I had at the hospital, additional x-rays were taken. I was to return in two weeks. I went back in two weeks, much improved, okay to start to ween off the air cast. I paid my co-pay. And .......wait for it.........a month later I get a bill for $968 ($150 for that air cast - after I was explicitly told my insurance would cover it!). It turns out that the "ankle specialist" that COA set me up with? HE doesn't take United Healthcare and NO ONE at COA told me. Now I have a huge bill for $968 balance due for two office visits (the first was $450 ! The x-rays were extra! the follow-up was $400 !). This is outrageous and an unconscionable practice. My company had switched from BC/BS to UHC......to date I have had two other doctors whom I saw twice a year send me notices that they will no longer accept UHC. I have had UHC deny coverage for a cardiac test that my cardiologist deems necessary (my father, his two brothers, his sister all died from heart disease despite triple bypass, internal defibrillator and pacemakers). So I extend my rant to UHC which is more properly referred to as "The NFW Insurance Co.".......... read more
