This place is great! I'm glad I found it through Yelp! I came in for an eye exam and possibly new glasses. Note--the entrance is around the back, not in front like the other offices in the building. Anyway, the gals at the front desk were friendly. When I said I had an appointment, they looked and told me it was for the next week. Oops! My mistake (I guess). Anyway, they gave me paperwork to fill out and went to see if they could squeeze me in. They got the okay, and the technician, Laurie, put me through a number of painless tests. She was friendlly and efficient. Next I got examined by the doctor, Dr. Mastores. She is probably the nicest doctor I ever met (probably good with kids). She was also very efficient and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain, with a picture they took of my eye and a plastic model, some issue with my eye. It was something that I had for years but no other eye doctor had taken the time to really explain it. I appreciated that. She also gave me some samples for dry eyes. While I was waiting for my eyes to dilate for another test, I worked with a helpful optician in the office to find some frames for sunglasses. He offered some tips and I wound up ordering from them. They said it would take a week. All this examination plus the glasses cost only a little over $100 with insurance. I thought that was pretty good! I definitely would recommend this practice to anyone! read more

For 26 years I had a crooked left eye. I went to countless eye Dr.'s, stating my one goal was to have it straightened out. It took me 22 years to find a Dr. That listened to me and helped me achieve my goals. Dr. Stephanie Mastores is amazing. I will continue to go to this business for the rest of my time in AZ. The entire staff is amazing as well. I'm not always the easiest person to deal with and am very picky but Amber is consistently patient, and kind to me. She listened to what I was saying and again fixed the problem I was having with a different eye Dr.. AMAZING PLACE !! I will never stray from going here even when my insurance doesn't cover. This place can basically go fuck themselves. I received a call on my cell phone to confirm my Fri afternoon appt. I called back and confirmed. The next day I drove into Phoenix for my appt and called to see if I could get it moved up any earlier and I could not. That is understandable. I showed up at 3:30 for my appt and was told the computers were down and nothing was going to happen. They said they tried to call me but the phone number they had was incorrect. Why did they not call me on the cell number they used to confirm my appt on Thurs???? All I got was a were sorry and would you like to reschedule. How about a "fuck no" was my answer. I was pissed, if the computers went down 2 hours before I showed why was there an entire staff hanging out and patient still in the lobby. It's convenient that my appt was cancelled on a Friday afternoon. Now that I had some reflection on the situation I am the dumbass to schedule an appt on Friday afternoon all the away in Phoenix when I live in Avondale. It was my fault to think I could get some decent service from a doctor that I have been going to for the past 5+ years. What the fuck right? What the Fuck was I thinking? Thanks for the service or lack off. Once again I was in the wrong, but you can still go fuck yourself. read more

I am not sure I can say more than has already been said. I loved Dr. Heather, and when she left I was saddened beyond words. But then I met Dr. Mastores and realized there was life after Heather. The thing is, EVERYONE here is nice! My husband and son go here as well, I converted him over soon after we started dating. It was so easy...the service and the one stop shopping. This is a very nice office with friendly staff and a very clean environment. The office itself is bright and open and very ascetically pleasing. Besides the look, the staff is very friendly and smart. I got right in for my exam and the tech quickly took me through all the various tests and was very friendly. I live overseas and had less than a week in Phoenix. Many offices told me that a consultation and creation of the glasses was impossible to do - especially given that it was over the Christmas holiday weekend. The standard service at CPEC in itself is deserving of 4 stars, but what makes this practice truly stand out is their willingness to accommodate patients' needs. The front office staff are sweet, efficient and take care of all insurance queries quickly. The back office staff are pleasantly conversant while taking care of all their duties in a way that is quick but thorough and Dr. Mastores who I saw is just an absolute peach. She is personable, intelligent and listens well! Even when it came down to picking new frames and ordering new contacts, all the financials were covered prior so as to help me if I needed to budget insurance coverage. I am really, really glad I found this optometrist. First off the staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the office is nice and clean. I had no issues waiting for my eye exam, I was way overdue to see the optometrist and Dr. Usleman took his time getting me a thorough exam, while also getting me out in decent time. He also spent a good amount of time answering questions I had about my prescriptions, ocular health, and options for contacts and lenses. He offered both personal and professional advice to help me choose how to move forward. The check out process was a breeze as well. When I returned to select frames, I had another wonderful experience. They have a really nice selection of high quality frames suitable to a variety of styles, and variety of budgets. I found exactly what I was looking for. I walked in expecting to pay $300 out of pocket when all said and done (as has been my experience in mass eyeglass retailers), and I walked out with the perfect glasses, the perfect lenses, with prevencia, lens and frame warranty all for about $100 bucks. I'm a new patient but have been treated from the beginning like a long valued client. Everyone on staff that I have met have been outgoing and friendly. I am 65 with a history of eye surgeries making me a real challenge to correct my near and far vision whether for contacts or glasses. Dr. Mastores enthusiastically took up the challenge to fit me with multi-focus RGP contacts saying she would not give up until we'd succeeded. We are still working through the process but I have every reason to believe that she'll get us there. Last week end I developed a very concerning problem with one of my eyes. It was the week end so I called the doctor on call. When I called Dr. Mastore's number (the number given on the phone message at the office) not only did she fail to pick up, but her voice mail was full. I could not leave a message. Believe me I called many, many times with no luck. I called the office back and left a message about the problem and received a call from Liz. She said that Dr. Mastores was out of town and stuck in Michigan. But she was on call! You can still answer your phone.
