We recently had new laminate floors installed in our 3-story house and after work was done our 6 smoke detectors started chirping. It was driving us crazy. I meant to write this a month ago, but things have been a little crazy with all of this pandemic business. I was having an issue with a circuit breaker that kept tripping, and I couldn't figure out what was happening. George and once of his guys came out and worked some trouble shooting steps, but couldn't duplicate the problem. (It turns out that the circuit breaker was only tripping after dark, due to a short related to the light sensor that turns on my outdoor lights.) This company underbid their competitors. Based on their quote, I scheduled to have them install five smoke detectors. I love Central Electrical. Power went out in a section of my house on a Saturday. The first few people I tried I didn't get anywhere. Central responded and a 6pm appt was set. They were there at 4pm. Strangely my problem turned out to be faulty wiring at a smoke detector. I'm sure, that in time, this fault would have cause a house fire. I can't say enough great things about how amazing George and this company were to work with. My elderly father in law's main breaker kept tripping in 115 degree weather. We tried several electricians, as it was an emergency and George was the only one to respond in a timely manner and came out right away. As it turns out the wires from the house to the meter were fried and a serious fire hazard requiring the panel to need to be completely replaced. We could not remain in the home so it was imperative that someone take care of it immediately as it involved displacing my father in law who is 86 and has mobility issues and is on a fixed income. George helped us through the entire process including the emergency shut off of the power with NV Energy and got his guys out the next morning to complete the job and met with the inspector today to get it passed so that NV Energy could get the power back on before the weekend. The inspector told us the work Eddie and Gus did was fantastic and he was impressed. 9:15 PM on a Monday and George picked up my call within a couple of rings. Prior to calling Central Power, I called three 24/7 electricians and got voicemail each time. The main breaker at my property was tripping and I needed to get power back on at the unit. Upon calling George, he asked me for a picture of the breaker so he can maybe pick one up at Home Depot (versus waiting until the morning if special ordered). My tenant only speaks Spanish, and I only speak English. George, who I found out speaks both Spanish and English asked me for the tenant's number. He called her and handled the problem for me! Was having intermittent problems with an outlet in my garage as well as a spotlight in the kitchen. They were scheduled to be here at 10:00 and called me at 8:30 asking if 9:00 would be okay. Upon arrival he quickly troubleshot and replaced the outlet in the garage and took a look at the corresponding GFCI outlet - and good thing, the GFCI was quite warm and had signs of melting. That was also immediately replaced. The spotlight was then evaluated and everything was checked out. It turns out not only were there issues with that outlet, but I also had a bad bunch of light bulbs. He explained the issues clearly and provided guidance on more appropriate LCD bulbs. I could have used a handyman but he would have never thought of checking out the GFCI. If you have any type of electrical problems, I would strongly suggest using Central Power and having a licensed electrician to troublehsoot and repair your electrical concerns as opposed to a handyman. read more
