I just had the most amazing experience I could have with an electrician. I live in California and our rental house in LV was without power in the kitchen. I had my renters screaming, literally for help. I have a home warranty on the house but they couldnt wait until Wednesday, because all the frozen food was defrosting, so I proceded to get on the phone and find an electrician asap. Nobody could help me right away, then I found these guys and forgive me, I don't remember the fellows name, I think it was George, maybe, anyway, he immediately went out to the property and fixed the problem for a very reasonable rate. I had a problem at the power box, called them on Saturday. Company claims to work 24/7 and they actually do. George arrived on Time & completed the job without a problem. I had the pleasure of having David and Spencer come to my residence and help with what seemed like a wiring issue. I was trying to change a bulb from a ceiling fan light (of course thinking it would simple for me to do, not really). When they accessed the situation, it appeared that I had actually ripped the whole wiring inside (LOL don't ask =/). Put a small project out for bid to several companies. Was looking for a 240v 40amp outlet in my garage for my electric car. Central Power got back to me really quickly with one of the lower bids. I was not looking to pick the company with the lowest bid, rather, the company that got back to me quickly, had a good price, AND had excellent reviews. CPES was very easy to communicate with. Whoever is on the other side of the Yelp messaging for this company actually made me laugh. When doing something like this, I expected a lot more formality (i.e. sir, ma'am, etc.). Instead, he was more like "man", "gonna", etc. I thought it was funny and part of me selected this company just based on how informal they were yet being very good as reflected in their reviews. Anyways, they did a great job. Nice, clean install. Left quite a bit of dust behind but I am willing to overlook that. I haven't plugged into it yet but I expect that it'll work nicely. I put the bid out on Sunday night and Tuesday morning they knocked out the install so quick, easy transaction. Will use them in the future for any other electrical needs. read more

We just bought a new house and we needed recessed lighting installed in several rooms prior to a painting crew coming in to paint the entire house. The original electricians we talked to put together a very detailed and competitive estimate, but when we told them we were ready to move forward, the informed us that the earliest they could start was 10 days later. Not wanting to wait that long to get completely moved in, I jumped on Yelp to see if I could find someone who might be able to handle the job sooner. George responded quickly, came out the next morning and gave us a competitive bid, and had his crew there the following morning. They got it knocked out in two days, and did a great job. And now the painting crew is close to being done on the day the original electrician said he could start. Great electrician. Had some problems with the scheduling but it all worked out in the end. Initially scheduled for the day before between 12 - 3 and nobody showed up until about 4:30. There was also a miscommunication and the correct materials weren't brought. Was told he would be back tomorrow at 7 am, and didn't arrive until around 10:30 the next day. That said, everyone was very polite and always either answered calls or at least got back to me fairly quickly if the call was missed. The electrician that was sent out did a good job and the price was unbeatable. I usually would give 4 stars since there were some problems with the scheduling but you can't beat their price. read more

Earlier this year I bought an older house that was remodeled before I purchased it. Since I've moved in I have noticed several electrical issues, including terrible wiring done by the previous owners or flippers, and it has been an inconvenience the entire time. I finally decided to have an electrician come out and take a look at what was causing one of my outlets in my short term rental unit to continuously short out and ruin any appliance I would plug into it. After a very quick troubleshooting the first visit they found the problem and we set up a date and time to have them come back and correct the issue so it didn't happen again. After the came to correct the outlet something went wrong with the rest of the wiring and half of my house was shorted out and lost power.. George came out in less than an hour the second I told him I needed someone to address the issue and fix everything that was going on and within half an hour everything was back to normal and fully functional. At no cost, he corrected the issue and even rewired the breaker box to correct the wiring that was done by the previous electrician with the previous owners and was very friendly while doing so. Let me preface this by saying that I'm a new homeowner and the home that I bought, despite the home having upgrades, there were plenty of downgrades that it came with including electrical issues. I was stressing for days trying to figure out how to get the electrical issues taken care of, as my home warranty refuses to send someone out because it was a "pre-existing" issue. To make the long story short, I called around to different places and even asked my friends for referrals, all of them wanted to not only charge a service fee, but some of them was just asking for way too much. I called a company that wanted to charge me $325 to change out a GFC per room that needed it. I saw that home depot has this referral service that they do at no charge. So I called Home Depot and they sent me an e-mail with contractor choices. One of the choices was George and his company. Within 5 minutes of submitting my request, I got a call from George's company, in which they gave me a breakdown of an estimate of their prices and they got me set up for the next day with no problem. George himself showed up and in less than 10 minutes, he was able to troubleshoot and pinpoint the problem and gave me a fair estimate that was within my budget. He got all of my issues done the next day in less than an hour. I am so grateful for George because not only did he save me money but he was professional and he managed to get the work done in lightning speed. Before he left, he assured me that my problem is taken care of, but he also made sure to let me know if the problem is not fixed, he will come back and take care of it. I've been so stressed out, but he took one issue off my brain and my back. So, thank you so much George!! I will refer him to anyone who wants quality, professional electricity work. They came in and solved the problem we had in the store. Our business had partial power and they knew what to do. I checked all the breakers and nothing tripped. Who knew that the main meter had fuses. The hardest thing for them is to track down the right fuse since I'm in an older building. I would definitely use Central Power Electrical again. We had our AC fuse go out and cut off power in the entire house. This happened at 4:00 in the afternoon in July during a heat wave. We called them at the end of the day and they came out immediately and had us back up and running. It was less than 2 hours from the time the fuse blew to when everything was fixed. That's great service. Every other place we called said it would be 2 days before someone could get there or we could use a after hour service that was double the price. read more
