I called and was given a date almost 5 weeks out. I told the lady the Dr's written order was for 1-2 weeks. She was clearly agitated and told me that someone would call me back within 48 hrs. I asked for Dr. Tsai's office number and she no, I was not allowed to have that. Of course I received no call back., so I called again, explained it all to another lady and she promised that I would hear something later that day or the next. Again no return call and still no follow-up into week 2 post op. Obviously the call center folks don't care what the Doctor orders nor about the welfare of the patient.

After a year of talks and tests, he persuaded me to have my prostate surgically removed. A year and a half after the surgery, my frequent-urination problem had not improved. His only advice was to have patience; sometimes bladders took a "long time" to "settle down" after a surgery. I consulted my family-practice physician. He figured out that the frequent-urination problem was not caused by something with my bladder or prostate. It was caused by high blood-sugar (diabetes). After I changed my diet and started taking diabetic medicine, my urination problem went away. How is it possible that after years of medical school, and more years of being a practical urologist, Dr. Ruff was unable to imagine an alternative explanation for an old man's frequent-urination problem other than that it was caused by a malfunctioning bladder/prostate? I can only think of two possible explanations. Either he is deeply stupid, or does not care about the welfare of his patients. My advice: stay away from him.

She commented on whatever she was focused on (which I also can't recall), which I was confused by. Usually, "Hello, I'm so-and-so." are how normal humans greet one another. I came to her as a middle aged man with recent abnormal growths on my anatomy that sometimes means cancer. I was scared to death, out of work and also without insurance, so I was paying a significant out of pocket just to speak with her. After her examination she told me it was benign, in a scoffing manner. As if I somehow bothered her with my request for help. As if I was some hypochondriac in her office daily. TBH I wasn't even sure what benign meant entirely, but she seemed so annoyed at me, I just wanted to get out there as quickly as possible. If you want to be treated like cattle, you'll find the care here sufficient. The front desk and nurse staff were pros, however.

I came to her to get a much needed surgery. We agreed on a date (June 21) but she didn't tell me next steps. I waited a week to hear back and had to call them myself to get an answer. I was told I was "tentatively" on the surgery schedule but they were needing confirmation from the hospital and they would give me a call about it when they knew. I never got a call, had to call Again Myself and was told the same thing, that it was "tentative" and someone would be calling me about it from her office. I had to call them Again and at this point all the RED FLAGS are definitely UP It's a week out and I was told the hospital would be calling me THE DAY BEFORE to confirm everything. I said well that's crazy because no one has even freaking CONFIRMED this for me not to mention I have NO COST ESTIMATE. So I said well at this point can you please tell me what dates you have in August (because Dr. Aleman would be out all of July). I said please hold that June date for me until I figure out when your next availability is. Then the icing on the cake this morning I FINALLY get a call back from them telling me Dr. Aleman is on the other end to speak to me herself. I was relieved thinking we would finally get this all cleared up! Dr. Aleman answers and IMMEDIATELY starts REAMING me OUT (before even letting me get a word in edgewise) saying "IT'S PATIENTS LIKE YOU THAT MAKE ME WANT TO START CHARGING EVERY TIME YOU CANCEL A SURGERY DATE! I HAVE MOVED PATIENTS AND MY SCHEDULE AROUND JUST FOR YOU AND NOW YOU WANT TO CANCEL." I was literally floored/stunned. Never in my long history of working with doctors offices and scheduling (MANY) surgeries have I had SO UNprofessional of an interaction with not just a doctor's staff but the doctor HERSELF/HIMSELF! I literally started crying right there on the phone (because I have been in SO much pain and needing this surgery for years actually now). I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude and tried explaining my situation. I wasn't even trying to CANCEL this last minute I simply wanted to reschedule until I could freaking get some more communication about it!!! Her office acted like no patient ever asks for these things! Dr. Aleman blamed it on her having a "small practice" with no billing department, etc. And she suggested I try to work with another office. Well you better believe I COMPLETELY agreed with her!!! I recommend staying FAR away from this office especially if you intend to have a surgery with Dr. Aleman. You can have the smallest office in the world but it doesn't mean you can't maintain professionalism and kindness ALWAYS.

horrible!!!! do not go to this clinic!!! management is so inept and spends most of their day…read moreapologizing to patients because they repeatedly drop the ball. dr is never there. clinic is ran by p.a.s and nurse practitioners. i can never get anyone to answer the phone. staff turnover is very high. there is a new medical assistant everytime i come. they cant keep emplyoyees staffed because the clinic staff is always unhappy and complaining about the crappy work environment that they have to work in. stay away!!!!!
