Coconut curry ramen
William S.

Popped off the train my first time in Cumberland and wandered around, popped on yelp as always and this place was the #1 reviewed spot in town (and for good reason). Chris was extremely helpful explaining what ramen to get and I could tell she puts a lot of pride into making the ramen. Excellent service and layout, I'll be back during my 3 nights in town ! Love this place! Great food, great service, the Ramen was the latest dish to satisfy my craving!

I'm ok with this spot. Both times I've been perfectly accommodated. I like ramen occasionally and I would like it again but I think because I placed a to go order my noodles were almost overdone. Taste was great and sushi was fine to me as well. My friend who lives in Hawaii after growing up here really enjoyed this place.

the bar and dining area

Stopped here for lunch - as I am anxious to try their new menu and format. This review is simply for the overall space and the business as a multi-use building. It recently opened and had several outlets of food and drink - and I think the staff is top-notch. Every time I have been by here the staff has greeted me upon entry as well as being attentive to other customers. They have a bar setup with IPA's as well as bourbon and whiskey flights - grab and go food and drinks in the coolers - an area with a Nintendo Switch that people can wind down and hang out, as well as events like trivia with food specials. They just opened a ramen kiosk which looks very good and I would recommend trying like I will very soon. Great asset to downtown Cumberland!

Centre Street Collective! You will not be disappointed with creating your own Ramen bowl. Give this place a try!!

You will not be disappointed! Make your own Ramen is a great choice!!! The special broth today was a curry, which was not spicy, but a nice flavor.

Butter Chicken Flatbread

What a very cute place in downtown Cumberland. Love the inside. You order at the bar and there are so many food and drink options. I got the butter chicken flatbread and it was delicious. Everyone who was working was very kind. Great little spot to visit if you're in downtown Cumberland.

Fox and Madam: craft cocktails, local beers and wines

So excited for a new amazing place to open in Cumberland! With only a few days under their belt, Centre Street Collective absolutely has so much potential. Right on the downtown mall next to other popular local restaurants, you can check out the stall Fox and Madam for amazing craft cocktails, local beers and wines. The bartenders were so friendly and it was so refreshing to see local talent invest in the area and bring their excitement to their craft! Clatter Coffee also has an upcoming stall, as well as a local jewelry and art stand, and a farmers market stand with fresh foods with several vegan options. So excited to see the Centre Street Collective thrive and provide a place to shop local, eat fresh food, and grab a drink!

Getting seated was a little confusing as we didn't see the sign at the entrance. Food was delicious! The atmosphere is really fun. Service was good. Will be back.

Ramen with Pork Belly, soft boiled egg, mushrooms, sweet potato, greens, nori and kimchi.

This was such a great experience. Open restaurant with some great esthetics for picture taking. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were so inviting and made us immediately feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious! Fresh, flavorful and great gluten free options. They also had vegetarian options, kids menu and a full service bar. You can tell they take pride in their food and want to give you the best experience possible. We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and staff. We were in town visiting my grandmother, who also enjoyed this spot, so we'll definitely be coming back the next time we visit. Highly recommend!

I had the ramen. The broth tastes canned and not homemade and the noodles had been prepared in advance.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the mood perfectly--dim lighting, warm and inviting, with Sinatra Christmas tunes playing softly in the background. It felt charming and intimate, especially welcome given the extremely cold temperatures outside. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking on us regularly without ever feeling intrusive. The cocktails were excellent and did a great job warming us up, which was very much appreciated. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we tried was rich and flavorful, with a standout Gorgonzola sauce that was truly delicious. The creamy burrata with pesto and balsamic was perfectly balanced, and the scallops were easily some of the most delicious we've had--cooked beautifully and full of flavor. Ristorante Ottaviani is such a comfortable, charming place to enjoy high-quality Italian food. A wonderful spot for a relaxing, special meal, and we're already looking forward to going back.

This place attracts everyone from the blue collar worker to the high roller, which I love. The ambiance here is a little odd. We were seated at a table that faced the bar AND the kitchen/bathrooms, so you could just see and hear the staff coming in and out of the kitchen. Not great. I wish this place was located somewhere different. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive (thanks, Lexi!). I had a glass of the Montepulciano and my husband had another wine; brachetto? I believe? Both were delicious, but the fact that EVERY wine is $13 is weird. We ordered the greens & beans but they were never delivered, at no fault of Lexi's, but the computer. No biggy. We were already just about to get our dinners! But would love to try them next time. I had the Abruzzo Salmon with asparagus and fingerling potatoes and it was very delicious. The salmon was just a hair overdone, but otherwise, highly recommend. My husband had the Americano pizza and it was outstanding. The only other comment is that for downtown Cumberland, the cocktail prices match that of Virginia Beach which is just outrageous. I wouldn't pay a dime over $10 for anything on the cocktail menu. Very vodka heavy and not appetizing. We would return for the pizza alone!

I will say that the wait staff is fine and deserves a fair amount of grace. They can only do so much. If I were the owner I would fire the kitchen manager, the bar manager, and myself out of embarrassment. The entire system needs thrown out and redone. Perhaps just sell the building to someone who actually cares about the business and wants to make proper changes. Once again, the food took forever to come out, and after well over two hours we only got two of four items ordered. The quality of the food was fair to poor at best. You will never find yourself craving anything from here. Then you have the poorly stocked bar. They ran out of three things while we were there. All before 8pm on a Saturday. Their whisky selection is embarrassing for a place with a Cigar Lounge. At this point we will only go back for events and we will be either eating before or just taking our own food to eat there. Probably our own drinks too since they can't seem to do that right. Mismanaged. Uninspired. Underwhelming. Embarrassing. Wasteful. Shameful.

We even got to meet the owner who was working behind the bar. Ambiance is cool. They have a little shop area that you can buy local art work, soaps, and jewelry. They have a sitting area with just couches and a table. There are various board games you can play. There are different types of seating. You can sit at the bar, high top bench area, normal dining area with chairs, or sit in front of the ramen bar and watch her chef it up! The food was ok. I give this a 5 star review because my partner was obsessed with the ramen bowl and the sushi (i didn't get a picture of the sushi unfortunately). The corn dip was great. It had a lot of flavor but i will say, the portion size was off. Not happy about how little dip we got. There were tons of left over chips. The chips tasted like they were made in house. The old fashioned was great. We opted for the in house bourbon. The espresso martini was a disappointment. The size of this was very small for the price. I even asked the owner about this, and he informed me it was an illusion based on the shape of the glass. I don't believe that because i was barely buzzed. It also didn't come with a rim like stated in the drink description. The India power bowl was also a huge let down. I opted for quinoa. The butter chicken, chickpeas, and quinoa were super dry. Not very impressed. It didn't have much Indian spice flavor. Best to stick to the sushi and the ramen bowl.

We stopped in for a bite of lunch and ended up spending half the afternoon! Amazing wine and beer selection and very creative food menu. The place is actually a collective - with various independent small businesses under the same roof. They make it easy to open a single tab and purchase from multiple places but pay all at once. Service was amazing - welcoming and very helpful to orient us to how to order. Warm, friendly and professional throughout our stay. The business area in historic downtown Cumberland is undergoing major work on the street and sidewalks - but it was easy to find free parking nearby and had no problem finding our way here. Applebee's (LaVale, MD), mid-January, 2026. My husband and I were traveling on I-68 near…read moreCumberland, MD, and needed a lunch stop that would be restful (from driving) but also relatively fast as we still had a few hours of driving ahead of us. We were seated quickly at the Applebee's, and decided to order from their 2 for $25 menu; as usual, we would split the food. This is A LOT of food for $25 -- a full-sized appetizer to share, plus two full-sized entrees. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip as our appetizer (usually $12.99), which is topped with Parmesan cheese and served with white corn tortillas and chipotle lime salsa. I ordered the new O-M-Cheeseburger (normally $11.99), that featured a juicy, all-beef burger, topped with American cheese, Applewood-smoked bacon, and spicy honey mustard, served in a sizzling skillet of molten queso and a blend of cheddar cheese. I selected the garlic mashed potatoes as my side. My husband ordered a Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad (usually $16.99), which features grilled chicken on a bed of Asian greens, crunchy noodles, and almonds tossed in an Oriental vinaigrette. It's served with a breadstick that has been brushed with buttery garlic and parsley. Food. (Rating: 4/5). Our appetizer (5/5) arrived within five minutes of our order, and it was very tasty. The entrees were delivered before we had finished the appetizer. Since we would be splitting our entrees, we were pleased to see that the burger was already cut in half with both pieces served in the molten cheese. While the O-M-Cheeseburger (4/5) was tasty, we'll probably go back to a traditional cheeseburger for future orders as our entree was somewhat messy and had too much cheese for our tastes. The garlic mashed potatoes were AMAZING, and were also good dipped in the molten cheese. We were so full after eating the appetizer and the burger entree that we opted to take the second entree, the salad, as take-out. We ate the salad (3/5) the next day. While we both tend to like sweet things, the dressing was far too sweet for both of our tastes. Quantities and value were excellent, but most food at Applebee's is a nutritional bomb. Even the GRILLED oriental chicken salad has 1440 calories, while the O-M-Cheeseburger came in at 1680 calories. Our waitress was excellent, and we had finished our relaxing lunch within 45 minutes (within our goal). We would eat here again.
