We started out with the buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips. The dip was good, but the stand out was the chips! They were light and crispy with just the right amount of salt. Two of us ordered the loaded Patrick's bowl with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, chicken gravy and corn. It was pretty bad. The chicken was overcooked and really tough to eat. The potatoes were super thin, runny, and most likely an instant potato mix. I was definitely expecting more and was disappointed by the dish. Maybe they were having an off day? The restaurant was really busy so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. I would give it another shot. read more

I was in a mood for wings, so my coworker who is local to the area recommended we come here. I'm glad he made the suggestion, because the wings here did not disappoint. I ordered 10 of the medium wings, which was plenty for lunch. They were fresh and super crispy, which how I believe good wings should be. The medium sauce was just the right amount of spice for me. This is definitely a sports bar atmosphere, with lots of TVs all over the walls. As a sports fan, I appreciate being able to watch sports while enjoying some good food. It seems like all of the tables have a TV within view. Our server was prompt and friendly. Our order was filled quickly, which was appreciated since we had to get back to work. I was looking for a restaurant in Cumberland to host a group of motorcyclists and I found Patrick's on Yelp. I stopped in by myself to check it out in person. I see why they have a good rating! I was seated right away when I arrived, my server was very pleasant and attentive, and the food was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a large bar area with a bunch of sporting events on TVs, a spacious indoor dining area, a covered outdoor deck (which I saw), and my server mentioned a beer garden (which I didn't see).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a Cobb salad with grilled chicken because it was too hot outside for anything heavier but everything on the menu looked really tasty. We sat on the outside deck, which has nice views. I had the french dip with a side of apple sauce. The French dip sandwich is so generously proportioned it is a challenge to dip it thoroughly in the sauce. But that is one of those good problems. Stopped in while staying in Cumberland. I would compare this to a local non-franchised Buffalo Wild Wings, except with better service and food. We started off with some soft pretzel apps and then my daughter got a grilled cheese which she loved, and I got an incredible burger. They both came with very good fries. Our server was very helpful and made great recommendations. It was pretty obvious this place was loved among local residents who enjoyed coming to watch sports and grab a drink with their friends. Considering we were a large group we decided to order a bunch of small dishes rather than each person ordering their own main course so we can try some local specialties. We ordered fried pickles, mozzarella logs, sweet hot chicken wings,shrimp basket, zucchini fries and some more. Although the wait for the food was quite long, it was worth it. The food was great. We were on our way back to IL during last weeks storms along the I-70 corridor. This place is a bit off the exit, you drive down into town a bit, take some turns. The GPS takes you to a shopping center and then gets confused. Just keep going, Patricks is on the back corner of the parking lot of the strip mall. An unlit, small, paved road. It is worth the trip. When you leave, instead of your GPS taking you back out to I-70, you will be lead on a long, scary, snow covered, winding back mountain route, a trip that feels a lot like the beginning of a horror movie...Wrong Turn comes to mind. My wife and I both got burgers, she got fries and I took coleslaw. Everything was fine, our food came in a reasonable amount of time, our server was polite and accurate. As other have said this is a local spot, probably, The Local Spot, it is good enough to be. In a town with very little diversity, I found myself an "only" in a full restaurant. To everyone's credit, while I did get some "looks", they were mostly curiosity and polite, nervous smiles. read more

Several items were also recommended to us but I took them up on the one for the chicken pot pie. One word... A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The chili cheese fries were also awesome! Service was great too!! We were in town from Michigan and decided to check out one of the local restaurants. The service from our waitress was fine however the customer service was lacking. I ordered fish and chips thinking he was getting hand battered cod but instead was served frozen fish from a box to which the waitress did not deny after the fact. She did offer to exchange it, but we never send food back in fear of what they might do to the next meal. I was so turned off by how the food looked that I literally ate 3 fries. She then asked if we wanted a box to take it home to which I replied, "um no absolutely not." Hello, I didn't even touch it here why would I want to take it with me! Got it with side of broccoli, which were nice heads perfectly steamed. Zucchini fries were long, crispy, and thin, came with a yummy horsey sauce. French fries were almost as good as the Zucchini fries. The coleslaw was sweetish and creamy and still a little crunchy. I would have enjoyed eating more of it but I had to pick it up with my fingers because they didn't give us any plastic-ware, and didn't ask my husband if we needed any, and he didn't check in the bag. Also, the fish with the fish n' chips was a bit chewy - fish and batter both - but a generous portion of fish (4 pieces).
