This company is probably in cooperation with Howard Hughes. They just announced in my neighborhood that they were forcing us to purchase their product without the ability to opt out. I currently have a 5gbps plan and they only offer 2 gbps. So if I want to keep my current levels I have to pay to keep my current provider and pay the forced $900 a year for this plan that I do not want. They are bringing in lower quality routers and extenders at a higher rate than I could get 2gbps of service else where. Seems like some shady business practices going on with this company. read more

I have had the service for four mouths due to it being the only service available in my area. Each time I'd had questions on why my service is not producing anything remotely close to the 1gb of internet speed or if the service just doesn't work, you cannot get on the phone at all with them through their regular business hours and they don't reply to tickets submitted via emails. This is by far the worst internet service in Texas and if it wasn't the ONLY service in my area, I would have been signed up somewhere else. Starting to rather not have WiFi than spend money... to not have wifi. -5/10 read more

I had to call nine times in a single day and leave nine voicemails because my internet had been out since Friday. After countless calls and emails with no resolution, Connor finally responded and completely turned the situation around. He immediately de-escalated the situation, clearly explained what the issue was, outlined what needed to be done, and had my internet repaired quickly. His professionalism, empathy, communication, and ability to resolve the problem were exceptional. Connor genuinely deserves recognition, a raise, and greater responsibility within the company. The internet service and the difficulty reaching someone had been extremely disappointing, but Connor's assistance was the reason I decided to remain a customer. This company is in cahoots with our HOA to take over Internet service for our entire neighborhood without the residents consent and they will be charging us $75 a month added to our HOA dues every year in a lump sum, again all without the residence consent. How can this be legal? read more

Had some faulty equipment and lost internet for 2 days. It was super frustrating (personally - with working from home) but Makenzie & Penny were fantastic at helping solve the problem. I really appreciate that they didn't try to blame another vendor that was part of our home build but were persistent in trying to fix the issue. Day 1 they had a tech out to look at things. When issues continued the next day, they had another tech out on Day 2 ASAP to replace equipment. internet may or may not be reliable, jury's still out on that. but at least customer service is on point! read more

Customer support are helpful. They response promptly on messages and request. However, last few days ago we encountered alot of outage and the other one lasted for 4 straight days. I do hope they will keep up the good service and also they should offer more good rate or lifetime guaranteed rate. read more

Centric Fiber has been great i(Hockley ). The network stability has been stable, which is honestly refreshing after dealing with unreliable/spotty internet providers in the past. Speeds are consistent, outages have been minimal, and when I have needed support and called their customer service team they have been excellent--friendly and quick to help. The local gas company is involved in this company, somehow and they tried to get me to sign up when I set up a residential account. I told them I would consider it after I checked the company out. I had never hear of them. Evidentially they made some sort of deal with the developers of the housing tract I live in and are the only internet game in town, except via cellular or satellite. Can't get cable. fiber, or even old DSL, just Centric. Isn't that nice? After reading up on the company I decided to not use them, based on their terrible reviews, mostly due to outages, slow speeds, and lousy customer service. In other words, they suck at everything a high speed internet company exists to do. That's not my complaint against them, however. My complaint is that they now have my email address, in spite of the fact that I specifically opted out of marketing and never gave the gas company my permission to sell my contact info. I've tried to opt out, unsubscribe from Centric but apparently this "friendly, local, down home company" doesn't understand the word NO. God knows who else they gave my info to but they do plenty of harassment on their own. Any company that has to resort to such sleazy practices should tell you all about who you are dealing with. Additionally, the fact that they can't get into the market without paying off developers and forcing residents to buy their junk or have nothing should really drive the point home! Just remember, you DO have a choice and don't need to sign a contract with any provider. Honestly, as long as you can consistently get crazy fast speeds, there are tons of affordable options. I have SL and I can still watch a movie while the kids game. Same with the 5g cell plans. read more

THE WORST PROVIDER THERE IS!!! I've only had them 3 months and have had about 4 outages. No reason sometime, its just out; and you can never get anyone on the phone. It takes them almost 24 hours to call you back. The one time i got a call back the guy was telling me my system was back up while i was actively looking at a 'no connection' notification! Stay away from this company if you can. Their bad customer service is only surpasses by their horrendous product. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. For cheaper i had google fiber and it went out ONCE in around 5 years and that was because i needed new equipment. I was able to get someone and schedule an appointment during after hours. Try that with these people. I've called their after hours tonight 4 times and got NO ONE...my birthday eve is ruined by this jackas*ory of an "internet provider"...not surprised being theyve ruined my telework day. One thing they are ALWAYS on time for is collecting your payment! They NEVER miss that...or offer concession for the inconvenience THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE CAUSES...but i guess if they had to do that they'd be out of business. Ill be calling google fiber again tomorrow to see if there are any plans to expand to my area...as soon as there are I'm GONE from this, not even deserving of 1 star, privider....here's to hoping Google comes and puts them out of business! read more

Frequent outages and terrible customer service. It is nearly impossible to speak with a live representative, and messages are never returned. When your internet is down, you need support--not silence. I would not recommend this company due to the lack of customer service and communication. read more

Makenzie Weaver was great on helping us during off business hours when no tech was responding when our WiFi was down. Five stars goes out to her but we only had our internet for one day and now the network is out again. WiFi back from 2014 worked better than the 1GB we currently pay for. No customer service, no technician can come out to see if the equipment is okay. Nothing. I have asked them to terminate my service because it's an absolute waste of money. Constant outages and the app sucks. Temple Run had better features than that crap they call an app. I've lost an entire day working from home due to their sudden outage. (And it's constant so I shouldn't have been surprised) The best part has been my husband taking off work several times to meet the technicians they supposedly scheduled. Oh, but they never showed because the internet was magically back up and they don't come out if WiFi works. No matter how mediocre it is! Absolute worst service/company ever. read more

I have been with centric 3 years and WiFi service has been great, customer service is just a phone call away and quick to answer for any issues. They have great promotions for new customers, very competitive rates. read more

We recently had Centric Fiber install internet for my parents in The Villages, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Their Giga Guide was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made everything easy for them to understand. He handled the setup quickly, connected all their devices, and made sure they were comfortable using everything before leaving. My parents were so impressed with how smooth the whole process was. Highly recommend! I just moved into the Millennium Waterway in The Woodlands, TX and Centric is our internet provider. The initial setup was very quick and easy - everything was done on the phone and I was set up within minutes. The internet speed is noticeably the fastest I have ever had. The community I moved in has centric Internet. A salesman came by talked about trying the service for month. I call the company a week before expiration and the very rude person told me the only way to cancel is to sell my new home and that it is in my contract. So now I have too internet bills. Who builds a community and obligate new owners to use and pay for low rated service. read more

Constant long time outages, embarrassing and irritating. Have this service for just 3 months and had numerous outage. And just one week I think I experienced 2 to 3 outage that took up half the day.
