2 yrs later-MRA UCSD confirms a venous insufficiency, pelvic congestion disorder.
    Michan C.

May-Thurner, Compressed Common Iliac Vein syndromes & pelvic venous congestion DO exist & should be considered if increasing pain symptoms occur with multiple fibroids or if severe pain occurs in the pelvis & there are no specific etiologies. Borrego Women's Health with Dr. Robert Segnit was a bad experience! He was "polite" enough but the appt was a total waste of time! He was snarky with me at the end & did NOT want to consider a pelvic congestion or venous issue as a source of chromic pelvic pain with the fibroids. 2 years later I am now at UCSD about to get UAE for fibroids & will probably need a STENT in the Left common Iliac vein. It took an MRA to diagnose. Over the last 2 yrs pelvic pain increased & pain/pressure in left leg veins increased~Generally an unwell feeling in the entire body. Thankfully UCSD gyno & UCSD IR listened to me & UCSD IR doc was an angel! No ego & a genuinely compassionate doc willing to explore further (b/c gyno also threw out a possible Endometriosis dx on the table) Dr. Robert Segnit (gyno) who was the colleague of Dr. Tracie Davis, is apparently retired now. Initially I wanted to see her, but she was booked, so I went with him. Maybe if I had seen the female doc she would've listened to me? But I doubt it b/c none of my other docs listened. I think male gynos & male IR for UAE are bad & non-empathetic. Male docs don't have the anatomy & cannot comprehend the severe & deep pain in the pelvis or the annoyance of bladder incontinence from bulky fibroid uterus. ***I had 2 older male docs who basically misdiagnosed me & had ZERO clue where the pain & pressure were coming from & did NOTHING for me to try to figure out WHY I was suffering. The male IR doc was not at this clinic. He was at American Access Care (Dr. Rattner). Dr. Rattner was trying to tell me I didn't know the difference between uterine or ovarian pain & he kept interrupting me every time I said "pain in the uterus". I think these older make docs in their 60's or 70's are not up to speed or up to date with the current literature & diagnoses. May-Thurner & pelvic venous congestion DO exist & everything should be done for women to test for Iliac Vein compressions to rule that out. Some women may not be symptomatic, but for those of us who are symptomatic, we need the proper dx & tx!

They were able to get my x-ray done on a Saturday, have the results read, and sent to my doctor in time for a follow up visit on Monday. Check in was simple with either the tablets at the front desk or via the text message they send. Staff was great: efficient, pleasant, thorough, and listened well. I feel like I got very good care and results.

I thought if I went to this Marque Urgent Care Clinic yesterday to ask one of their Doctors to give me a Blood Test and an Ultrasound on my right leg which I was experiencing moderate to severe pain that feels like a tingling sensation from underneath my right knee down towards my right foot. I also have swelling in my right leg and my skin on the front and back of my right leg is warm to the touch. These symptoms that I am describing are signs of a Blood Clot in my right leg and I was advised by my nurse to walk into this Marque Urgent Care Clinic yesterday. A blood clot is a very serious medical condition. It's a medical emergency. When I called yesterday at 4 PM I got an answering machine that said ALL OF THERE MEDICAL STAFF IS BUSY AND LEAVE A MESSAGE. I did leave my full name and my cell phone number to call me back ASAP. This Marque Urgent Care Clinic NEVER called me back yesterday and I have a serious Blood Clot in my right Leg, if this blood clot breaks off it can move up to my heart and I can have a Heart Attack and Die.

Literally made this account just to write about this experience. Nurse practitioner, Peter Tannous,…read moremay both sides of your pillow always be cold. I've visited this MinuteClinic several times for flu shots and TB tests, and while wait times can run longer than expected, I understand why. Between walk-ins, limited providers, and the unpredictable nature of healthcare, delays are sometimes unavoidable. This visit was no different. While waiting for my general medical exam, I noticed a steady stream of patients being checked in. At one point, an older couple at the front desk seemed to be having trouble navigating the walk-in process. Peter stepped out of his room repeatedly--at least five times--to help translate and explain the system to them. Despite his efforts, they seemed confused about how to proceed and would repeatedly approach the front whenever a name was called, even when it clearly wasn't theirs. By this point, I was about 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment, and the waiting room was getting busier. Peter calmly explained to the couple that he could only perform the specific TB test they wanted to sign up for, while they were requesting multiple services that the MinuteClinic doesn't even offer. Shortly after, he called my name. As I walked up, I overheard other patients expressing frustration about the wait, with some even canceling their appointments. Meanwhile, Peter just sighed and immediately returned to providing professional, attentive care. During my appointment, he was nothing but kind, focused, and respectful. I had forgotten some required forms for my exam, and he was incredibly understanding--allowing me to quickly run to my car to retrieve them. He also took the time to give me thoughtful advice about my future in nursing, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the earlier couple continued to interrupt, knocking on the door multiple times during my visit. Each time, Peter had to step away to explain that he was with a patient, while they grew increasingly frustrated that he couldn't drop everything to assist them immediately. He apologized to me every time he paused, though I didn't mind. I could clearly see the situation he was managing. That experience alone was a powerful reminder of what our healthcare system is. In the single hour I was there, it felt like a full shift's worth of challenges. Patients don't get the care they genuinely need, incompetent people don't do their research, and providers that ARE present become ill-equipped punching bags. It is a constant cycle. TLDR: The minute clinic here is a disaster. I agree with other reviews that it is understaffed and often overbooked (walk-ins are not as simple as they seem). Patients deserve timely, high-quality care, but it's also important to understand the system's limitations. IF YOU are standing there, signing up for a 10-minute TB test, as it was the only appointment available to make online, and then are SHOCKED when the only 1 NP working there tells you they cannot perform the 50-minute appointment you ACTUALLY wanted to have done in that 10-min slot, then YOU are the problem. Understaffed or not, it is the few entitled/ignorant people I see from time to time that cause the greatest disturbance in ANY healthcare clinic/hospital/pharmacy/you name it. Healthcare providers are humans too, who get overworked like the rest of us. They work under pressure, juggle multiple responsibilities, and still strive to give each patient the care they deserve. Before leaving a harsh review about "bad service," it's worth considering the bigger picture.
