Very Poor management company! Does not act professional or have any understanding of people and their need as a renter. I have had nothing but trouble and issues with this management company. They do not have a clue on how to work with the homeowner and the tenant. I have a number of issues that they do not respond to or even care! They do not return phone calls or respond to my issues with the pluming or cleaning all the weeds outside before I moved in. I have had three contacts / property managers since I started working with them. My last property manager just quite with no notice and I can see why. This has to be the worst company in the valley with real estate and property management. I can see why they have so many bad reviews. I wish I would of seen the reviews on this company before I rented. Live in a property of a few years. Took pictures of issues when I moved in. Made the property manager aware. They didn't care. I only had one person that I dealt with and that was Beth Konieczny. She was the agent in charge of a house that I wanted to rent. In a nutshell, she was outstanding. I had numerous credit issues that reflected poorly on me, but she took a personal interest in my case and conveyed to the property owner my good qualities and history. The owner agreed to approve my one year lease without additional fees . I really appreciate what Beth did for me. Apparently some of the other agents there have problems because they have so many bad revues, but give Beth a try, you won't regret it. read more

We lived in a rental property. Day 1, there was a huge hole in the ceiling and a hole in master. The carpets were "cleaned" ha ha. Then the sprinklers never worked flooding the back yard. The air conditioner was broken in summer the week we moved in. They refused to fix electricity too and went against the lease. We spent $400 cleaning carpets and additional $200 to clean the place to move out. They still kept over $1000 deposit and lied about why. They blame the homeowner for failing to fix anything and claim they have no responsibility. Horrible manager and company. read more

So far in my 2-3 wk experience with them, I signed on w/ them to help "market" a personal home turned rental (market = they don't property mng but will help market and write the contract for a %). Initially I was met with and signed with Dave Stringham and then was turned immediately over to a Nadine Molina. Bait and switch? Thus far, emails and followup requests have been predominantly slow or ignored. I generally have to call in directly for the rep to have the email questions answered. Since I prefer email as I consider it less intrusive on someone's time, I find it annoying I have to follow everything up w/ a phone call. I mailed a $250 check last Tues for dpst twds cleaning and landscaping services, still waiting per 2 emails, 1 follow up phone call I made, and plus now 1 more call I made today and still waiting for a response just to see if they received my check and can start the services for the property they are suppose to be marketing at this very moment. Frustrating and lacking in customer service so far. This review will only get worse or better in a few wks after I update. read more

This is seriously the worst property management company to rent from. They only care about their money, a/k/a the Landlords, and they have no communication skills whatsoever. Here are two reasons why you should think twice about renting a house from this property company: 1) Over the 4th of July and New Years Eve holidays I was a little over 2 hours late (both times) getting rent in to them - one holiday my mother was in town from Iowa visiting and the other holiday I was in Mexico. They must have an automatic system in place for late payments, because both times I had a "5 day notice to pay rent or vacate" letter in my mailbox within two (2) business days. HOWEVER, THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY HAS NO SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR WHEN YOUR HOA HAS A NOTICE OR PASSES A NEW BY-LAW. Two weeks after moving in and parking on the street, our HOA passed a new by-law that overnight, on-street parking was not allowed. Since I never got notice, I had to miss work on a Friday to go to All City Towing to pay over $200 to get two (2) vehicles out of the impound lot - ALL BECAUSE CENTURY 21 NORTHWEST REALTY COULDN'T FORWARD ME THE HOA MINUTES. When I called my "property manager" Jodi Yackle to ask how I could be notified of future changes within the HOA by-laws, she basically told me I had no right to know what was going on and she wasn't going to be able to help me. I even asked her to send me the most current copy of the by-laws they had on file for the HOA and she never has to this day. That request was made in March of 2017. 2) I have had two issues with the house I am renting since I've moved in. The first week I moved in the fridge/freezer didn't keep cold so my food all went bad. Now, currently, the garage door has stopped automatically opening. BOTH TIMES I put in a work order the day after I noticed the problem. BOTH TIMES my "property manager" (term used loosely) relayed to me that the Landlord "didn't want to fix the issue at the time". For the first problem, I was told I could either buy my own fridge/freezer and take it with me when I move out. For the second problem, I was also told that I would have to manually open and close my garage door for the last 3 weeks I am in the house. THINK ABOUT HAVING TO MOVE AN ENTIRE HOUSE AND HAVING TO MANUALLY OPEN AND CLOSE YOUR GARAGE DOOR EVERY TIME YOU WANT IN/OUT OF IT. LET ME BE CLEAR WHEN I SAY I AM AN ORGANIZED, OCD-CLEAN TENANT WHO HAS ONLY EVER BEEN HOURS LATE ON RENT. I am respectful to other people's property and I keep to myself. I personally believe that a relationship between tenant and property management company (and Landlord, for that matter) should be a MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP. BUT BE WARNED, that is not the relationship you will get with this property management company or their "property managers". They will only do what they have to for the tenants, while doing everything they can for the Landlords. Re rented a home in Glendale from Century 21 Northwest when I moved in most of the doors in the in the rooms were chewed from a previous renter and on the floorboards as well nobody cared that they were chewed when I moved in I kept the home very clean and when I moved out I did replace blinds that needed most of them were never working in the first place I asked for screens was told no ask for a security door was told to pay for it myself and when I moved out I did the best I could to clean and then when it came time to get my deposit back was told that there was a dent in the garage door and that it was going to cost me $956 at my deposit I went to look at the door and it looked like somebody may have thrown a rock or a BB gun at the door there's no way that the cost could have been $956 to replace two panels and paint and on top of that the landlord would never respond to renew my lease back in July I don't feel that it was appropriate to charge me that much for something that I did not even cause but it obviously they don't care read more

Bob was very professional with all my Dealings with the tenants and Contractors. He allowed me to use whatever Contractors that I chose to make repairs, which saved me money. Bob also provided Contractor Services within their Company. Bob always delivered when it came time to get new Tenants so that I always had Rental Income coming in. I have been very happy with Bob and highly recommend him to anyone needing Property Management Services. I just listed the Condo that Bob was managing for me and worked with Rodica Bartels, the Senior Broker for Century 21 Northwest. She sold the Condo in less than one week and I got Top Dollar for the Condo. Rodica made the decisions that was needed to get top Dollar for the Condo. She picked out the Painting, the flooring and made the necessary repairs to the Condo so that it would sell very fast. She exceeded my expectations. She also worked with me and the Contractor that I picked out for the Bedroom Carpeting. Rodica is a true Professional and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to Sell their Property. Yes they kept $420 for nonsense. $185 for repairing holes in the wall. They was only one place we didn't make perfect. $110 to clean the yard...that was already clean. I drove by to see what they had done to "clean" the yard. IT LOOKS THE SAME! $125 for a garage door that never functioned to begin with. Really, I hate to deal with companies and fight for money. The HOA ( Home Owners Association) mailed me out property a violation notice which I had 14 days to correct or be fined $25, after fixing the violation which was minor and I didn't know about HOA said ok no fine. Century 21 accessed a $35 fine just because they sent out a email me! After receiving a second equally minor violation My Agent decided to now send me HOA rules!!!! I've been renting from century21 for a few years now and they are very unprofessional and selfish. This is the 2nd house I got from them with multiple issues that they refuse to fix. They take advantage of people that's already in a bad position and make it harder for you. They don't have a grace period after 5 o'clock your rent is considered late though they got it on the 1st. They don't care about the renters at all or take care of the houses we spend so much money to rent and keep up. The last house I rented I left just like it was when I moved in. They charged me for a window that a golfer broke and some stuff that was neatly stacked for the bulk trash people to pick up 3 days later. They kept my security deposit after all the money I spent making sure the house was perfect after I moved out and came up with a list of things saying I owe more money. The next house they rented me look like someone just moved out and they moved me right in. Walls are stained and dirty no matter how much I wipe they won't come clean. Blinds are old and crispy the carpet is old. Dust come out the vents every time I use the ac or heater and we all asthmatics. Holes were poorly patched and the list goes on and on and nobody was sent to fix anything. The rent went up from $1,420 to $1,679 the fallowing year without fixing anything. I'm so not the type of person to spend their day doing a bad review but I take my daughter and I safety so seriously and hopefully this does some good . This is By far the most unprofessional , disrespectful, and classless encounter I've ever had. My child and I have been without AC for a month it gets up to 90 degrees in my apartment and they have absolutely no estimated time of when they will replace my AC unit that stopped working a month ago. I was patient for 3 weeks when they kept telling me they'd work on it but now we're basically at a month with no one telling me when it will be fixed. On top of that the disrespect is mind blowing. From the receptionist Casey that refuses to pick up magically after I told her about the issues I was having to the property manger Diana Hanson that's says she'll have someone work on it to the worst of them all "Bob" District Manger who is by far the most disrespectful person on the planet who literally responded "OK?" to me when I said I've been without AC for a month. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent from a place that is under this company's property management. I would hate to see someone else have to endure the disrespect on top of the uncomfortable living situation my child and I have been subjected to. By law they had 5 days to fix it and it's been a month. They're literally willing to break the law than provide their tenet with what the law requires them to AIR. They will not do the legal bare minimum and I would advise you to please not rent here for your safety I really fear what will happen when the Arizona summer really starts it's high temperature. Let me point out that I am not the renter to be. I am trying to help my sister. She has received nothing but the run around. First she made several calls about a home in Buckeye AZ. No return calls, so we went there in person. She paid a fee and filled out an application, on a house that she did not see. I thought that was strange. Then we went to look at the house and were greeted at the door with a man holding a gun. Now that was enough for me to run away but upon talking to the man he was never told that anyone was coming to look at the house. Hmmmm??? So after 2 weeks and multiple phone calls my sister and having to file out a 2nd application and pay a 2nd fee (for her hubby) she was told the house would be hers on the 1st of the month. She was suppose to be out of her apartment on the 1st also. Now the company is saying there will be additional admin fee on top of the deposit and the house will not be ready for an additional 20 days. So after we pack the apt all up the agent is not returning any calls. After reading the reviews, I starting to wonder if this company know what its agents are doing. read more

Bait and Switch! Stay Away! Roughly 10 months ago I went on craigslist and found a house listed for $1000 per month. I met with a lady who showed me the house and I agreed to rent the house. While doing a walkthrough of the house and going over the 12 month lease lease agreement, she informed me to mail my check for $1000 to the owner of the house's mom. She then wrote down the woman's address and informed me to notify the owner with an issues. Fast forward 9 months.. I get a call from a Century 21 agent telling me they were now managing the property and they needed to come do a walk through of the house. They also informed me I should no longer send my check to the owner of the house and instead just pay it on the Century 21 website. So the 1st comes around (yesterday) and I go online to pay my rent. The minimum amount due is $1220. I immediately called their office and asked for explanation. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, she stated their was an extra $20 that was suppose to be paid for tax reasons. I informed her that I was told by the original representative to send in my check for $1000 when I originally moved in. She told me that I should've read the fine print and refused to talk anymore about it, nor would she hear me out. I find it ridiculous that I have been living here for 10 months while always paying my rent on time. Now.. 2 months before I move out this company contacts me out of the blue.. and now I am being told something completely different from when I moved in. read more

This company has been deceptive and not forthcoming with the condition of the property I was supposed to be leasing. They had me sign the lease without fully disclosing the condition of the property while knowing that major problems existed. The only time it was made known was after I repeatedly requested documentation and it took over 1 week for anything to be investigated. Upon investigation, no measure were taken to fix the problem which consisted of the garage door being labeled as an immediate hazard. It was understood my situation and that I needed the home to be move in ready at time of signing and it took 7 days for us to have access to the house after signing. Bob Davis manages the home we are renting and he was okay until we needed a repair. We have a broken drawer in our kitchen that has sharp pieces sticking straight up where my two year old can reach. We first contacted bob to have this fixed about a MONTH ago. We've played phone tag once, then didn't hear anything for almost three weeks, and finally received word that he would pick it up a couple days ago. Nothing yet. When this repair is something needed to keep my two year old safe, I don't think it should be put on the back burner. I don't care how busy you might be. If my son gets hurt, we will have a whole different problem here. read more

Rodica Bartels (Agent/Broker) was the seller agent for the house I just purchased, after the inspection we agreed on a list of things needed to be fixed. Seller's agent is fully in charge of hiring the right people to fix everything, after we close the house and went to the house, two of the problems were not fixed, one was fixed the three days later after the closing date, and another one is not fixed at all. We also don't have both garage openers which the seller's agent said they have dropped them off (which they are no where to be found). I have called seller agent and she is refuse to help or give out any information for the problems they suppose to fix, and said this is all my problems now.The seller agent does not want to give out any information or showing any interest of fixing the problems. During our house buying process, she is always very delay on all the responses. I have bought many real estate and dealt with many real estate agents before, as we have multiple rental homes, I advise if you are out of town any trying to sell your house she is not be the best agent for that. read more

There are never any guarantees when renting (always some risk) but with C21 helped minimize those concerns! A fantastic experience in professionalism and true focus on the customer. Stay as far away from this place as possible. All the property managers are incredibly rude, and no one calls you back. I had an issue with my sink, called to place a work order and was told someone would contact me. I waited 2 days then called back with no answer! Finally got ahold of them and they just gave me a vendor phone #. This "vendor" was beyond rude. Telling me how I was inconveniencing him, how inconsiderate I was to ask that my sink (that was flooding all over my kitchen) be fixed etc. I called century 21 back asking if anyone else was available, and I was willing to wait a few days as this man made me very uncomfortable. Told me no, and I couldn't file a complaint as it was "not their problem" and this was the vendor they used and I could pay out of pocket to have someone else come out. I was with century 21 the last 2 years and it was the worst experience. The house we stayed in was practically in unlivable conditions. The AC didn't work, which we contacted them, and it went unfixed for 9 months. Then since it cost so much to fix they gave us a 30 day notice instead of actually dealing with the problem. I contacted the property manager to make sure we didn't owe anything (even after taking our $1000 deposit to fix things that were already wrong with the house). Everything was resolved and then five months later I get a call from collections telling me that I owe $700 to US West Collections. I was never contacted from Century 21 letting me know I had a balance. Neither my room mates or I have received a call or an email. The property staff do not care about you or your family, doing anything for the customer is a problem here. Total SCAM. They did a complete bait and switch. The listing agent, Cara Martinez, pressured me into applying for a home under the premise that there is a $250 pet deposit for my pair of pets. After the application was approved I was told that the pet deposit is $250 per pet by Dave, the property manager. Dave even acknowledged that the listing agent, Cara, told me $250 for the pair and was unwilling remove the additional fee. We had to put a $200 ernest deposit to the house upon applying and now they're saying because the application was approved the ernest deposit is not refundable. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE A PLAGUE!!! Dave never responded called us like he was supposed to and we had to call multiple times despite him saying he will call us back. I am leaving this review for only the agent that found us a home to rent. Her name is Erica Luna. I have no information on anything else to do with Century 21 Northwest Realty. Me and my wife were looking for a house to rent in the West Valley. We found Erica by chance. We went out with her on a few weekends, looking at a lot of houses we found and some she found. Me and my wife just couldn't find what we wanted. We went all over the west valley, and Erica was so nice and accommodating to us. She sent us listings to look at, she was always there to talk to. We looked at so many houses, I'm sure we were driving her crazy, but if we were, she never let us know. She is very professional, always smiling, funny and such a nice person. Well, we almost had given up, and Erica told us about a new home for rent, it had just came on the market. Back in our car, we met Erica at the house, loved it, and now we will be moving into it! Thank you sooooooooooooooooosooo very much Erica! Me and my wife are so thankful you didn't give up on us. We feel that if she worked this hard to find us a rental, then she would be the right one to buy or sell a house with! When that time comes Erica, we will give you a call for sure!
