I was called and texted by Eldred. He was polite and professional and explained everything. He personally came out the next day to inspect our yard to determine where they would run the line. Two days later they installed the fiber from our alley, and the next day Kyle came out to install the hardware. Everyone was great, the service was superior, and we've had awesome Internet speeds ever since. It's totally refreshing to speak with Eldred and have a normal human interaction. Just prior to this experience I was getting an infuriating runaround from cox between the AI bots and their shabby customer service just to cancel. I am pleased to support a local business and urge you to consider switching to Trepic. I read a bunch of the reviews on here after we had already became subscribers and was a little surprised to see some of the not great reviews. I cancelled service the day before the next billing period to assure a clean exit only to be told by CenturyLink that they take a few business days to process such requests and now are requiring me to pay for a days worth of service - which I can't use since equipment was returned when cancelled. I tried speaking (chatting with representatives, the first agreed to correct) and asked I check back in a week. Unfortunately, after the week, nothing done, chatted again and this rep and his manager were unwilling to follow common sense. So I asked them to mail me the bill. Why companies don't put common sense practices into place amazed me. It is going to cost them more to produce the bill, mail it, and process my payment then it would be to just waive the one day bullcrap they are trying to get from me because they can't process closures when requested.

When they finally did, they gave me an 8-hour window with no real-time updates or notification when the tech was on the way. I was literally walking out the door for an essential errand when he arrived. During the 7 days without internet, I spent hours trying to reach a human being. The phone system just loops endlessly, and it was nearly impossible to get help. I work from home, so I had to spend extra money to tether to my phone and find public places to work--in the Arizona heat, no less. After all that, CenturyLink offered me a $9 credit for the inconvenience. Honestly, that felt insulting. The service itself is generally slow, though to be fair, outages are rare. But when they do happen, the company is extremely slow to respond, and customer service is nearly nonexistent.

When it works, it's great. We are in our 5th month of using. And, the freeze framing of apps (TV…read moreviewing) due to buffering issues are increasing. And, most of time we only have 1 TV using the service NOTHING ELSE! Sometimes this happens 2-3 times an hour. The freezes last upwards of 60 secs. NOT GOOD. I tried everything, rebooting TV, Roku, modem, replacing the HDMI cable. All I wanted to do was wind down a long week watching TV. Didn't happen. The resolution finally got back to normal around 11:30p ish. UGH! Oh, and the speeds they promise....LOL, has never happened....NOT EVEN CLOSE. Typically half to less than half.

He was still trying to sell to me while I was berating him for waking me up. He says, "It's light out" like that makes a difference. I told him to not come back. Now here we are another week later and TWO of these guys show up for the same reason, "your neighbor has our service". I don't care what my neighbor has. I asked, "Did you see this sign?" Guy laughs and says, "Yes, everyone had those. We ignore them because we HAVE to talk to people." Are you KIDDING ME? I have this sign for a reason. I work from home and I have dogs. I do not want the dogs barking, I do not want my work calls interrupted by ringing and pounding, and I definitely don't want them interrupted by ringing, pounding, and barking. On top of that, sometimes I work at night and nap in the afternoon. I am very irate when someone wakes me. This company needs to learn to read, to make notes about who they've already bothered, and they need to stop coming to my house. Also, if someone ignores pounding on their door, which they obviously heard, then ringing the bell is only fanning the flames.

They refused to assist or escalate my issue unless I verified my account via text message, despite me providing all other requested information. I eventually received a corporate contact, which hasn't been much better. It's been days with no response. It's clear they don't value their customers. Several friends have already left Cox, and I'm about to join them. Do yourself a favor and choose another provider. Google Fiber and a streaming service will save you money and frustration.

Internet seems to be running smoothly with no issues! When I had cox it was always cutting in and out of out of service and it was paying almost 100$ a month. With fiber it's 50$ the first year. They also cater to our military keeping it 50$ all year and beyond as well first responders, for the rest us it goes to 75$ after first year. I think I def get my value for what I now pay having no issues and fast delivery service being great!

It tripled in two years. I called customer service and talked to some Indian who went by the name of "Mike". He assured me my bill was going to be lowered to $66 a month, which to me is fair. My problem is that unless I called and made some noise they would keep jacking my rate. As soon as I complained they lowered the lowered the rate. Just a scam. How many people are they charging $150 a month because they didn't call and complain?

In other words, I believe that Cox is increasing monthly service bills in the hope that a customer will sign up for an unwanted cellular phone service. I believe that this practice is both unethical and potentially illegal. Someone from the State of Arizona needs to clampdown on Cox.
