***THIS REVIEW IS FOR FIBER 1K CONNECTION. NOT RURAL ASF DOGWATER SATELLITE***…read more specifically central michigan. alma/st louis flawless connection. everytime i run speedtest its 942/942 cheap. i cant get 100mb upload from any other provider at resident locations in this area. streaming to twitch 1080p crystal clear for thousands of hours. after 24 months service ish. can say its gone down ..... 15 times? ish. average downtime less than 60-90 mins. think the worst outage day was like 16-18 hrs. cant expect any better for uptime. nobody 100% not sure why reviews on fiber service are so bad. have literally had 0 issues. bill stays the same. nothing more id ask for from internet company at 25% the price I would've expected to pay for this speed.

*As an employee (as of 7/15/25), they owe me thousands of dollars in expense reimbursements from…read moremonths ago and nobody seems to know where they are or when I will get them. They require driving 800 to 1000 miles per week with the empty promises of mileage reimbursement. *They also promised a very good income and I've not even made income above poverty level after months of employment because they don't know what they're doing. *There was no protocol for onboarding or training. ** The CRM system that the sales people are required to use sends them to home after home after home of those that are already customers of Point Broadband, which makes them look like they have no idea what they're doing and upsets the customer. The same system sends the sales people to homes that aren't even serviceable in the first place. This same system also sends them to homes of former Point Broadband customers, and I was told multiple times by those former customers that they would never try Point Broadband again because of unreliability. One particular day, I processed 6 sales only to find out PBB doesn't even service the entire area I was sent to. This happened multiple times. *All of the marketing material in my market advertised offering home phone service. I sold home phone service to a lady who went ahead and disconnected her previous Internet and home phone service (on her PBB installation date) only to find out when the technician went to do the install that we don't even provide home phone service in her area *As a customer, they allowed my home Internet service to be down for five days straight over a holiday when I had guest coming that needed to communicate with their children while they were here and Wi-Fi calling is the only way to make calls in my home. *In my opinion, someone at the leadership table does not care or is asleep at the wheel. **To the good people that I convinced to try PBB, I apologize.

The door-to-door sales representatives for Spectrum were not honest with us. They told us the…read moreinternet service would be $30 per month, the router would be free, and the price would be locked in. However, before the installation appointment, we received an email stating the service would actually be $40 per month with a "-$55 promotional discount," and that the promotional rate would last for 24 months. That means after 24 months, the bill would increase to $95 per month before taxes. My wife and I were upset because this was not what we were told. The installation was rescheduled twice due to weather. When they called again to reschedule, we told them we wanted to cancel. The representative became rude and told us we had to call 888-438-2427 to cancel. We called, and a representative from the Miami office was very helpful and professional. She explained that the door-to-door salespeople are third-party contractors and cannot set up billing the way they had described. She also clarified that the router is not actually free -- you still have to pay for it. She successfully canceled our service. Despite canceling, the office in Bristol, TN continues to call and harass both me and my wife. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully review all terms in writing before agreeing to service. If the calls continue, I will consider contacting my lawyer.

Speed test shows a gig at equipment but on any device I test I usually receive between 80 mbps to 150 mbps. I have contacted customer service. They sent out a tech. He confirmed but was unable to resolve the issue. I try to keep my device on the 5.0 ghz and on ipv6. Speeds there are about 250mbps. While nowhere close to what it should be it was better, however it reverts back to the 2.4 ghz and ipv4 in less than 2 min each time I set it up. Spectrum has no option to separate and only run one setting.
