Went during normal business hours and it was closed. I called and he said "he had something to do." I just drove 30 minutes to get here.

The staff is friendly, the price is fair. However, we don't have a lot of choices.

David was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We came in looking for Star Jasmine and David showed us exactly what to purchase, and how to plant and care for them. We will be back as we continue our garden project.

Not long after planting, the tree didn't seem to be developing properly, so I stopped by looking for advice. The experience was disappointing. The employee helping me appeared visibly intoxicated in the middle of the day (someone I believe is connected to ownership, as I had met him during the purchase). He was unhelpful and dismissive, so I left without any real guidance. I continued trying to care for the tree, but within two months it died. When I returned to ask whether there was any warranty, replacement option, or even assistance toward purchasing a new tree, I was met by a rude employee who immediately became defensive, repeatedly emphasizing that they are a "family-owned business" while offering zero accountability or solutions. Instead, I was blamed for the tree dying, despite the fact that I had already come in previously asking for help. For a business that sells and installs expensive trees, I expected at least some level of customer service, support, or professionalism. Instead, I got poor advice, no accountability, and an overall hostile experience. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and would recommend others do the same. Update: After digging up the dead tree, it was obvious why it failed. The root ball was extremely tight and root-bound, likely from sitting too long in the nursery box. It only had two mature roots supporting it, and both had been cut during removal and installation. They also didn't use fresh soil when planting it, which gave it little chance to establish. I went to another family-owned nursery afterward, and the difference was clear--they stood behind their product and offered a one-year warranty.

I'm a big fan of Hawaii. Spotted this small store after having lunch. I was getting ready to leave…read morethe parking lot, but saw All things Hawaiian. Hopped out the car and went straight to the store. They had all kinds of small souvenirs, t-shirts, leis, and plants at very great prices. The owner was so friendly with Aloha vibes. I wish I had more time to browse around and buy something, but will return in the future. If you are looking for some Hawaiian items make a stop here.

I was totally intrigued and was looking for an appropriate dish or vase to preserve the fragrant blossoms of my plant in the backyard. I immediately saw the donut looking ceramic vase in assorted colors. After chatting and getting to know more about the plants and Hawaiian articles as well as colorful clothing, I learned that my plumeria is most likely of the sweet fragrant "Gardenia" type. It was suggested that the shiny black donut dish would serve me best. The lovely missus will love the sample 5 petal flower I received with my purchase and I will get the vase filled with my own at home. With so many Art and articles and just Hawaiian fun things/souvenirs, I was shown by Arlene behind the counter, a "Cook Street" Hawaiian print shirt of great value that for sure will fit me. It was a real pleasure to have visited Konishi Plumeria and I know we will return. Hmmm, good to know that Konishi Island Fair is on 28th September.

Funny because they replied to ALL my DMs before that. So the person I gifted it to also DMed them, they replied initially, then stopped once the issue was brought up. $300 for a dead plant. My boyfriend and I actually initially found it as we were driving through La Mirada, but the name of the store caught my eye and we went in a few months ago, but I'm finally getting around to writing a review for them now! There was a gentleman who was running the store, who I learned was the owner! They had apparently been open in LA for a long time before packing up and moving over to La Mirada! The plants inside (as the name might suggest) were a mixture of trees and small plants. I'm not the best at knowing what plant species are what, but the vibe was very gardeny. What I mean by that is, that the owner of the location seems familiar with the plants, handling them, repotting them, etc. The entire time we were perusing, he was moving plants around, repotting, while also being very attentive and answering our questions. My favorite part of the store is tucked away in the back corner. It's a collection of art and art pieces. The painted plants were actually painted by the store owner's mother! In the end, that's what I ended up buying (I got 3 painted pictures). I don't remember exactly what the price was, but I remember being very pleased with what we got. If you have 5-10 minutes to spare and you're in the area, I recommend checking out Namoo Plant Shop. What you find might actually surprise you!
