I'm happy to have found this place to replace my windows and sliding door. The process is simple, from start to finish. First, Mike came over to check the windows and the sliding door that needs to be replaced. He discussed my options, and I don't feel pressured to get the most expensive; instead, He focused on what's right and what I need for my house. No aggressive sales pitch for add-ons. After that, he gave me a decent fair quote that doesn't make me feel like I am buying a new car. Since I lived in a condo, the only time it took was getting HOA approval. Once I got approved, I called Mike back so I could sign the contract. He placed the order, and a few weeks later, Jesus (Mike's business partner) and his team came over to install my new windows and sliding door. Shout out to Jesus for explaining what they are doing, and his team double-checking their work to ensure everything is sealed and clean. All I can say is that I am happy with the overall experience; the service is fantastic, and the brand/product they installed is great (double-pane glass doors are amazing). Would I recommend Certex Construction? Definitely yes! Picture to follow :)

What a smooth and fantastic experience! While the majority of the home was stucco, the house needed most of the wood fascia and other wooded structural pieces repaired, before repainting. I don't live in the area, but this was for an elderly family member who I help, and it's always tricky to find good people when you don't live there. I found CertEX on Yelp and Mike responded immediately. And I couldn't have found a better contractor. We got a few quotes and his was competitive and we really enjoyed his clarity and style. This is a firm that communicates well and is beyond professional. No hard sell. Very through contracts and addendums. From the initial consult to quote to project start, it was smooth and well documented and they keep you in the loop. And they'll paint the exterior when the repairs are done! I didn't have to find a separate painter, it was one and done! (And done right.) Jesus runs the daily crew, and they are polite and considerate too. I have worked with a fair amount of contractors for rentals and repairs on personal properties, and this was the most organized and proficient project, bar none. Happy to recommend and highly suggest you get a quote from them.

Our home originally had old aluminum siding and was long overdue for an upgrade. Certex Construction completely transformed it with the installation of James Hardie siding, Anlin windows, and lifetime paint, and the results are beautiful. Mike managed the entire process-from the initial quote and contract to permits and construction. He is extremely knowledgeable, communicative, and truly prioritizes customer service. Jesus and his crew ensured the project ran smoothly from start to finish. They did an excellent job with the demolition, siding and window installation, drywall, and painting. The team was always punctual, hardworking, and respectful of our home, cleaning up daily. They even worked extra days to stay on schedule, which we really appreciated. While construction projects can come with challenges, Certex Construction delivered quality workmanship and addressed any issues promptly along the way. We're very happy with the outcome and grateful for the entire team's effort.

Before and After Thanks to CertEx Construction I highly recommend there services.

I was impressed by the team's attention to detail was exceptional. I highly recommend their service. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is unmatched. Thank you

Our home was in desperate need of new windows, structural repairs and exterior paint. Mike and Jesus gave us a very competitive quote, and advised us with questions we had regarding materials, repairs and updating the look of our home. They were never high pressure which I appreciated. Their crew were always on time, did meticulous repair and prep work, they were very friendly and very considerate of us and our neighbors. The quality of our windows and exterior paint are amazing! The windows block out sound and the exterior paint/coating also makes our home more energy efficient. My husband and I give Certex 5 stars and the highest recommendation!

The process to get to almost the end point has however been pretty awful. I have read the older reviews and am amazed, because the Christian I dealt with these past 50 days was extremely different from what other reviewers describe. My opinion is Christian is very high strung and explosive these days. It is for this reason that I write this review. While on my property for a sliding and window installation, Christian had three self instigated yelling episodes, once even to another contracting service. Christian, you see, had a 10 million dollar home to side after mine and said he was behind on my job due to the window delay. The window issue caused a one day delay. Health issues in one of his employees caused a 10 day delay. Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years) caused a 6 day delay. I ended up placing a change order request to eliminate Christian's company from trimming the interior to my windows because I became afraid that Christian would have another explosive interaction. Christian also seemed quite unable to manage his moneys for my job, twice asking for money days ahead of completion of scheduled work. He also used my contract to order materials for another job. Thankfully, I was able to get a lin release, but it was only given to me AFTER removing the material from my property and while job was still less than 50% completed. Some of the material he took away that day was needed to complete my corner railing, so a makeshift corner was placed that is chipped and needs fixed. Even though he was contracted to caulk siding and nail holes, Christian told me his workers aren't as good at that aspect of the job, that I would be better off getting a painter to do that work. I had no problem with doing that until Christian refused to credit me for the cost of caulking that was shifted to a painter. Instead Christian continues to insist that I pay him for the caulking job his team did not complete. Christian has gone as far as to state in writing that both caulking and flashing are not required when installing Hardie siding. He also said that he isn't responsible for insulating windows, just for plumbing them in the jambs. Hardie manufacturer, Azek manufacturer, window installers and an independent 3rd party inspector all tell me Christian is wrong. Pretty certain that the CA Licensing Board will also tell me Christian he is wrong. Christian left my job unfinished. I have 32 feet of missing trim in the front of my house, damaged trim at the water table and on the front corner of my railing. I have 3 windows only partially installed/shims sticking out 4 inches into my room. Christian also removed waterproofing from around my basement door and opened up the door jamb above the door in order to re-trim it, but never finished that project either. He was suppose to come back to complete the loose ends 2 Fridays ago, but never showed up. Instead, that weekend he sent me the final installation invoice, which included paying for all these loose ends, even though they were never completed. Christian insists he is correct in his billing practices and that I am misinformed. I am turning the issues over to the CA Licensing Board for their help as Christian has not followed through to finish the contracted project. He has forced me to get others to finish a job he was suppose to complete. I am extremely worried about this contractor. Christian keeps demanding money for work not completed. Sadly, Christian has breeched my contract. The work that was completed is pretty. When Christian wasn't on site, all went smoothly and hiccups were addressed and resolved. When Christian showed up (thankfully only a few days during the entire job) everything became difficult with excuses for the hiccups, no fixes to resolve the hiccups. I give 2.5 stars to this establishment overall, 5 stars for Christian's employees (Hahns and Bart), sadly 0 stars for owner Christian.

Thanks Angel for constantly keeping in touch with updates and pictures. As a member of the Yelp family, I have found honest feedback from others' experiences. Good and bad. And the reviews others post influence my decision. And Yelper's are always right. And so I'd like to recommend Casas Roof to the Yelp community. Their service, workmanship and communication earns them a top spot on my list. Update: 12-31-2025- The owner Carlos called and was very kind to apologize for some miscommunication. I will update my review again as we move forward. Update: 202601.08 Our manger gave us the green light and we signed a contract with Casas roofing. Carlos has reached out to me asking which color shingles and drip edge. The work is scheduled to start 1/13/26 and we're excited to get our new roof. I will update my review again Yelper's 12-30-2025- This review is only informational for yelpers who find themselves in my situation. Initially, the response from Casas Roofing was great. Replied right away and came to surgery my home. Robert got up on the roof and we spoke afterwards. He said he'd send me an email that Sunday night. Everything seemed fine. When I didn't hear from him I text him. Today Tuesday he called me and said he couldn't do the job due to "liability reasons". An addition to my mobile home which is built just like a regular home was a problem, he said. I know where I live several home enclosed their patio making it into an a proper addition. So I'm not sure what the liability is. So, just a heads up yelpers, if you have a similar situation as mine.

Let me start off first by saying, I did my research and even asked for and followed up on…read morereferences given for Jorge's workmanship before hiring him. All of the reviews and references were glowing. In fact, we had, I thought, a great working relationship from 2023 up until recently. I had grown to trust him. He did many projects for my mom's house, and I planned on having him work on my house in the near future. This final and most expensive project was to install new vinyl gates. He instructed me on what to purchase, since we have a military discount at the big box hardware store. He installed the gates over a few weeks, there were a few delays due to a shortage of parts needed. It was started in January 2026, and finally completed in March. It looked okay from a distance, but as I looked closer, I noticed many flaws. I don't have to be an experienced handywoman to know that something is not right (please reference posted pictures). So I asked him to come and fix the gates, as they were unacceptable. He asked what was wrong with them, and basically I told him and showed him with the pictures I took. He said he would come by. Delay upon delay. Weeks and months later he still says he'll come by (see screenshots posted). Finally, he says he will come this Monday. We wait all day. No show. I say to him, "If you didn't want to fix the gates, just say that." Essentially, he says he's not coming, and he can give me an $850 refund. I say, great, please send it. Then he proceeds to ghost me for the next few days. It's disappointing that some people and businesses are the way that they are. I just wanted to help my mom upgrade her home and make it look nicer. Below are the key observations based on visible conditions: Left Gate: *Missing screws in several areas, compromising stability and proper assembly. *Visible foam residue on the vinyl surfaces that must be properly removed and cleaned. Right Gate: *Improper installation of the 4x4 support posts. *Use of cardboard and expanding foam as filler material between the vinyl and concrete, which is not an acceptable or durable installation method. *Gate is misaligned and does not close or latch properly. *A piece of wood was used between the concrete and the post as a makeshift support, indicating improper anchoring of the 4x4 post. *Scratches and cosmetic damage present on the vinyl surfaces. *Multiple exposed and unsealed screw holes throughout the vinyl. *Excess foam residue visible across the right side of the gate. *One post cap is loose and not securely installed. ~ In regards to the business' response: Everything I do is on my mother's behalf. I am her agent. I do the all the vetting, collecting bids, and hiring for her. The issue was not money, it was about fixing the flaws on the gates. And lastly, it was at her request that I be present if you decided to show up. We trusted you, and this is what you left us with. That is all.
