Maybe it's me but when I take the time to go to a business, I'd like to be treated with respect by all staff. As a two time former customer, albeit years ago yesterday via Yelp I reached out to C&C and after timely and relevant dialogue was told to make a cardboard template and bring in the glass I wanted cut. The receptionist was friendly and thorough and said she have to have someone else verify if the glass I had could be cut. Moments later a tall, bald, most importantly rude gentleman asked what my cardboard cut out was. I replied that it was a template that I was told to bring in. As we were walking out of the lobby I said the measurements were also written down. He said the template edges weren't clean enough and he couldn't cut based on it. Both my wife and I sensed the A-hole on display. It was tone, body language and word choice. So I said never mind as I don't want to waste anyone's time. Mind you, he never saw the glass and all I wanted to know was whether it could be cut down. Bottom line, I didn't get any question answered. Very disappointing experience. ALL the works were "farmed out". C&C Glass does NOT do any work. We feel it is only a "Show Room". We regretted not asking for the warranty before ordering the work. We went to pay the final payment, and when we asked about the warranty of the work being done, the employee had to call each vendor to know if there is warranty of the job. It turned out the one who installed new screen doors offers NO warranty. C & C Glass will warranty for the wheel and the handle for one year. Also it's not easy to communicate with the C&C Glass people. Appointment was made, but when we called to confirm, we were told NO appointment was made. Then appointment was changed twice at the last minute. Then yesterday (11/17/2025) two appointments for two jobs were from 3 to 5 p.m. One worker for one job showed up at 9 a.m. Fortunately one of us was home. The others came at 3:00 p.m. However, all workers were fine, friendly and professional. But as a whole, we will NOT recommend C&C Glass company. read more

Called C&C glass about a broken window pane that needed replacement and got a phone quote for $330-340 before they transferred me to their Chula Vista location's voice mail (since it was right at closing time). Next day, I reached out to the Chula Vista location again, and sent them all the information they requested - precise window dimensions, and clear pictures. Got a new quote for $315. The handyman came on-site the next day, and quoted me $390 (+20%) with no clear reason for the increase, beside just saying it was just a phone quote earlier. Had no choice but to ok it since they were the contractor that my property management recommended and I wanted to be done with it. This was also $130 (+50%) over a different quote I got from another contractor. Could have been better. read more

They've helped me and been very professional with my very small needs, I had one cracked window, they guy was on time and was well presented and polite, he was done installing the new window in 20 min. They've also helped me with paintings with cracked glass, I left it at their store and couldn't pick it up until a month after because I was out of town. **Warning** Shop elsewhere as this company does not value your time or your military status. A few weeks ago, I called C and C Glass to get a quote. I asked if they honored any sort of military discounts, and the answer was "No", we give the lowest price guaranteed. This wasn't true as I found a few other places that did honor a military discount and was less expensive. Due to needing the job completed asap, I had no choice to go with them. We had an appointment on 02/14/24 at 2:30pm. I called at 2:40pm to see where they were at, and told me he was running a bit behind, but should arrive by 3:30pm. Eventually, the worker showed up at 5:30pm (3 hours later) to do the job. He apologized, but it caused me to miss my daughter's lacrosse tryouts at the high school, so I was not happy. Now, they had originally charged me 50% to order the glass, and they rest would be paid upon completion, which I understand. After the job was completed, I called the office, and they were closed, so I left a detailed message with Araceli regarding the 3 hour delay, and wanted to see about a possible concession or appeasement due to the huge inconvenience. I held off on paying the rest and told the worker I would call or go into the store the next day to speak to someone and pay off the balance after seeing what they could do. Result: They automatically charged me for the rest, without a call back or an apology. No follow up, terrible customer service. Bad experience with customer service and scheduling. Called to book an estimate. Was told I would be called back in 24 hours. Never received a call. Called again a few days later. Was told I would receive a response this time around. After 2 weeks never heard from anyone. Called again to find out they had a digit wrong in my phone number. Fine things happen. This time on the phone I was told someone would come out right away and expect a call right back from their scheduler. Instead I received an email of a scheduled appointment the next day at 1pm. I never got a call from a live person to confirm I was even available for that time slot. However I made it work. I personally Left a work appointment early to meet their estimator. It was a 45 min drive for me. When I showed up estimator walked 2 steps in my door. Found out someone painted a wall. Walked right out because "fumes were too strong". Complete waste of time. I was happy to open windows. Door etc. the fumes were not strong. Couldn't imagine working with this company to actually do the job when it was so difficult to even make the initial appointment. I had worked with the C&C glass in Kearny Mesa years ago. Today, I had a larger, piece of vintage, old school, heavy mirror glass. I needed it cut to size, for a project to make a framed bathroom mirror. I called the Chula Vista location and spoke with Araceli. I explained my project and she asked thoughtful questions that made me think a bit more about my project. She gave me options that were less expensive than what I wanted to do, but I decided to move forward with my original plan. I took my mirror down there, checked it in with Araceli and we reviewed my plan and requested cut again. She took down my contact info and said they would be in touch. ONE HOUR LATER, it was done! The mirror was cut to the specified size, the edges were satin polished to smooth them and render them safe. I was thrilled. Araceli was a pleasure to work with, I would highly recommend this business, and I am considered picky :) Thanks, C&C, for making my project possible. I am so happy to re-use the vintage mirror glass, as it is going into my 99 year-old craftsman bungalow and I think the old glass compliments the era of the home. I took a cracked window and 3 worn out screens to be replaced. I was initially told it would take all day and that they would call me when the items were done. The following day I called, they close at 4p.m so I called at 2:30 the items were still not done. I was frustrated... the woman from C&C told me the window was almost finished drying but the screens were not done. The woman told me they would have them finished by closing. I told her I would pick them up on Monday because I did not want them to rush the job and get a crappy job. On Monday after picking them up, the screens did NOT fit. They were too small, they fell right out the window. I took them back and they got the original screen I left for sizing and they were in fact smaller than the original. They apologized and said they would deliver the new screens to my house. Well you guessed it, still too small . I will never go to them again. I received a bid upon request for approx 100 pieces of glass. I included all necessary information in the request. This was after going into there showroom and asking lots of questions about the process and material costs. After weeks, I received a quote. The process was very difficult to receive the bid. Once we were ready to move forward, the bid almost doubled to install the glass in the doors, and for clipped corners. I had discussed this with them in detail in person, and over the phone, as well as with the installer of the cabinetry beforehand to try and avoid this type of situation. The bid at another local company was approx $3K less! I decided to go elsewhere needless to say. Their prices are way too high, their customer service is mediocre, and I feel like they were taking advantage of the situation! I would avoid this place if you have the choice. read more

The glass on our sliding back door was shattered by a flying rock (weedwacker) and the timing could not have been worse as we had a trip coming up and really needed this fixed before we left town. We called C and C and they had someone out the same day to measure the window (on a Monday) and we had the window installed on Wednesday.
