Overall fast service with attentive staff. Came for an oil change ($70) and smog test ($50). Did a free inspection and replaced rear break pad/rotors. I knew about my car needing the replacement beforehand, so it wasn't a big surprise to see it on the inspection website sent via text. Cost for the new rear break pad and rotors was slightly on the higher end with $450. But does come with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. read more

Got my engine mounts replaced about 2-3 years ago and they're already destroyed. My new mechanic (changed after this placed quoted me 3x more than my new guy) told me they either cut corners or used after market products since engine mounts should last around 100k miles. Wasn't gonna return after that outrageous quote (so stop sending me mail) and now I'm sure as hell not recommending this place. Absolutely disgusting what they charge compared to the quality of service. There's no reason my mounts should need to be replaced again after dropping damn near $1,500 to have them replaced here a few years ago This place is only good for getting diagnostics done that way you can take the issues to someone else for reasonable prices read more

Certified automotive took advantage of my wife charging her $418 for a diagnostic test for dashboard check engine lights after running the test they found nothing wrong with the vehicle so they pulled the backseat and checked the connections and found nothing wrong there and charged her $418 no parts were replaced. My truck engine light was on. I went to my local dealership to diagnose the problem. They reported bad spark plugs and also wanted to do a fuel injection cleaning. They wanted $1,300 to do the work. I went to Certified Automotive Specialist which is farther away from where i live but where i have routinely had my vehicles serviced. They also diagnosed bad spark plugs but noted they were defective from the manufacturer. They put new spark plugs in and i picked up my truck the next day, NO CHARGE! The folks at Certified Automotive Specialists are people of integrity! I will not take my truck to the dealership again. I recently had occasion to be on the I-10 freeway eastbound wihen my 1996 Lincoln Town Car lost all power as I was driving 70 mph in the middle lane. I somehow managed to turn on my blinkers and get to the shoulder without being hit. CHP stopped and I advised I saw the battery light come on just before power was lost, so the man jumped my battery. At that time, he advised it was not the battery, but the alternator that was shot and needed to be replaced. I was able to get to a safer spot and call AAA where I was towed to the nearest AAA preferred service factility. Suffice it to say, these people (will not name facility) botched what should have been an easy fix. I had already been to Certified Auto Specialists (CAS) in Glendora, as Mr. Chen had been our family's mechanic for 20 yrs in that same location prior to Mr. Chen's retirement and subsequent move back to Korea. I found Dominic and Robby to be quite knowledgeble, very professional and kind. I am a 73 year old widow and they did not talk to me like I was "less than" or some old lady to "take advantage of". After being exhorbitantly charged for work I did not believe needed to be done by the previous "service facility", Dominic advised me to bring the car in and they would do a full diagnostic. I took the car in and told them the story and showed them the invoice. They felt I was taken advantage of. They arranged for my return home as I had to leave the car. The next day they called and advised they had performed a full diagnostic on every detail of the car and had the 4 page (back and front) report and pictures to provie it. They also advised me to contact the Bureau of Auto Repairs to file a complaint, which I also did. The next day, they arranged for my return to CAS to retrieve my car and it's been fine ever since. I can't say enough great things about these two guys. If you are within driving distance of Glendora, CA and need your car serviced in any way, please check them out. You will be satisfied you did. They are only open Monday through Friday and take the weekends off to be with their families, which I think is important. Great work, guys. I can't thank you enough! read more

After ownership changed they increased prices, but not only that, if you are a female coming in they will drastically increase the prices. To get an oil change they charged me $150. They also scuffed up my vehicle interior and did nothing about it when I brought it up to them. Poor service, not coming back. Wish Mr. Shin was still the owner. read more
