Amir was so sweet, honestly thank you so much for stopping me! I actually came by because I was headed to the shop next door. They were the ones who did my brakes about nine months ago, but lately I started hearing a grinding sound. I had parked, and Amir came over to check if everything was okay. I told him I was planning to get my brakes changed again and wanted to ask why they had worn down so fast. He took the time to explain everything, including how driving in Los Angeles can wear brakes down faster if you drive often and have to brake a lot. He was so patient, genuine, and kind throughout the whole process. He gave me a great deal that basically matched the online price, got the job done in about an hour, and installed ceramic brakes that will last much longer. I'm just really grateful that he stopped me and took the time to help. You can tell he truly cares about people and his work. I'll be going back to him to get my transmission oil changed, and I'm just very happy that I finally found a shop I can consistently go to. Thank you!

Not going to lie, but I came one day to go to Patrick's Auto. The mechanic from this shop approached me and I was a little suspicious and hesitant. I gave it a shot and I don't regret it. He was very honest and prices were very comparable to Patrick's. He was also very quick. I got an oil change, changed my brakes, and air filter. (These are all things I came to get done, not tricked into getting serviced) I liked that he gave me options with no judgement. Also had warrantee with my brakes. I would come back again. read more

To get straight to the point, this is an honest auto repair shop. I had the front and rear brake pads replaced and got a synthetic oil change. There was an oil leak coming from the oil filter area. The mechanic at USA Auto Service told me that the previous shop I used likely changed only the oil without replacing the filter. If a filter is reused without being replaced, it may not function properly and can cause leaks. The filter was very dirty. Please check the photo. Normally, you trust a shop and leave your car with them. But I was completely scammed. I'm planning to take my wife's car there for an inspection soon as well. Previously, my wife had an oil change at a dealer shop in West Covina, and after just one month, the oil started leaking. They kept contacting us to sell the car. Honestly, it's hard to find a trustworthy repair shop. It feels like many shops only see customers as money. Personally, I highly recommend USA Auto Service. At USA Auto Service, I was able to stand next to the car and check everything myself, and they explained everything in detail. Their prices are lower compared to other places, and they still use good-quality parts. Needed an oil change a little over due they offer a great price and very nice and informative. They told me that where i went last used barrel oil for their oil changes and that it's essentially used oil that is filtered to use again. They only use bottle oil here so it is always new oil and better for the engine. Amir did a quick check on my breaks and tires letting me know that the back break will need replacing soon and that i should replace one of my tires. He does the oil changes in front of you and is really a quick about it adding air to your tires as the oil drains. Great service and quick. I will definitely be coming back. read more

SAVE YOUR CAR AND DO NOT COME HERE. If I could give zero stars I would. I have been coming here for quite some time which is why I feel the need to explain my situation. I will never come back to Amir for any future mechanical issues. I came in due to my ac not blowing out air (Amir supposedly changed my compressor a year ago so this was strange) and I needed a replacement belt. I notice no change to my AC and less than two weeks after getting my belt replaced as I'm driving down the freeway the belt comes loose under the hood and I need to get my car towed. I take it to an actual mechanic shop (not just one guy) , Associated Automotive Service and I am informed that it is the tensioner that needs to be replaced and should have been replaced when the belt was. Unfortunately they also inform me that the bolt is completely stripped due to a faulty job from Amir. Upon further discovery the shop finds an entire paragraph of issues that were caused by Amir. Seeing as I drive it consistently for work providing in home therapy to autistic children I am now without a car and SOL. Amir is refusing a refund. If you can't do the job at least be honest! I am editing this review for an update after my car has been in a legitimate shop, Associated Automotive Service, for the past 5 days. These are the issues within my car caused by Amir. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO AMIR IF YOU VALUE IT, YOUR TIME, AND YOUR MONEY!!! read more

I trusted the owner twice with oil changed for my Honda and Toyota. I called every time to confirmed the price. He confirmed that the price is the same as price offered on Groupon. When I arrived he told a different price. The price was much higher. I decided not to trust him the third time. I really want to support small businesses but can't support this dishonest owner. I came in last minute with my 2019 Honda Civic for an oil change. It was due at 15000 miles and I came in at 14927! Amir (Andy) answered my call right away and we had set up for him to help me change my oil. Normally I would try and do this stuff at home but I got lazy and decided for someone to help. Amir was helpful in choosing the oil, from looking at the reservoir cap I knew I was in good hands. Amir was also very thorough with some inspecting of my car, he ever found the intake filter that was missing (I took it out lol). All in all great service for the buck! His shop is in a plaza full of other car servicing shops, don't miss it when you're driving by! read more

Do not buy USA Auto's Groupon oil change coupon. It is advertised on Groupon as $49 for full synthetic oil change, and it is even repeated in the fine print. This is false! Once you get there they tell you it does not cover synthetic oil. They still charge you $85 on top of the $49 you pay for the groupon. I would recommend calling USA Auto before you buy the groupon and find out if they will honor the groupon for full synthetic oil. If so, document the person's name and date. read more

I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.
