I called Certified Cesspool Monday morning around 8 AM; As I was leaving for work I noticed a strange smell by my front door and looked behind the bushes to find my vent pipe was back flowing into my shrubs. when I went inside I realized the basement carpet was wet and smelled of sewage! I Spoke to Gabriella on the phone as she sent a truck to my home within 40 min! The men who came to my home Mike and Kyle were polite and respectful they located our cesspool and explained the cap was down 4 1/2 feet and we did not have proper access to clean the solids. Sal came with a small but effective bachoe and raised our cap to the cesspool and replaced it with a new manhole cover. the men pumped and cleaned the cesspool and the property was left as neet and clean as I had hoped!! Thank you all for your hard work and for taking the time to explain how our system works!!! I am in the process of purchasing a home, and it was recommended that I have an open cesspool inspection completed in addition to a home inspection, given the year that the home was built. As soon as I contacted Sal for more information and an estimate, I knew I was in good hands! Sal explained everything "cesspool" to me, and what to be mindful of, before recommending the best type of inspection for me to have done. Jason was the technician who completed the inspection, and he was patient and informative, and explained the entire process from start to finish. He showed me where everything was located, and what to keep an eye on if things don't seem to be "working right", in addition to making recommendations for me for the future, should the number of occupants in my home increase. He even went the extra mile to look at the injector pump for the toilet in the basement, as well as some questionable pipes near the washer/dryer hook-up. I can not say enough about this company. Sal and his crew are professional and polite. What was a month long nightmare, that began with a slow drain, turned into a frozen pipe and ultimately a pipe replacement, would have been a lot worse if it weren't for the guys at Certified Cesspool & Drain. They came to my house no less than 10 times, sometimes late at night and even once in a blizzard. Sal gave me all my options to fix the issue on his first visit. We ultimately had to wait a week or so for the ground to thaw, to fix the problem completely. But in the meantime the crew was at my place at least every other day to suction/snake my main line to make sure I didn't have sewage backing up into the house. They even made two follow up visits to level out the ground in front of my home that was dug up to replace the pipe. This issue hit at the worst time with two straight weeks of sub freezing temperatures, Certified Cesspool & Drain got it fixed though. read more

I rarely take the time to write reviews unfortunately, but I feel compelled to take the time today for the service I received from Certified Cesspool. Doug, Nick and Kyle were so super friendly and accommodating today. They came today to replace our old line with a new PVC pipe and while doing so found my cesspool to be completely full. They arranged for the pumper to come and empty the pool, aerate and add the chemicals which took quite awhile since it was so full. Once completed they replaced the old pipe with the new PVC pipe, emptied out the overflow, treated and aerated this pool. I have to say I was really impressed with their patience and they were very informative with all their steps that were needed to be done. Totally happy with my experience and highly recommend. Woke up Saturday morning to hear my toilet gurgling while my washer ran. Knew from past experience that this wasn't a good sign. Shut everything down and started making some calls. After speaking with several companies, we chose Certified because Sal said they would have someone here within a half hour and it ended up being very close to that. Sal also gave prices for their services right over the phone, which were reiterated by their technician, Mark, before the work began. The prices were reasonable, but I was more impressed with the speed and neatness of the job. After pumping, aerating and applying chemicals to the cesspool, as well as clearing the line from my house, the final price was just a few dollars more than the quote, but frankly the service was worth it. Recently had our septic and overflow pools pumped by Certified Cesspool. At their recommendation we also had the respective original cesspool lids replaced. The original cement lids were forty years old. Both covers had a narrow PVC pipe which restricted the amount of sludge and sewage that could be pumped out. The work involved was very complicated due to the work crew avoiding any damage to our Belgian block walkway. It was necessary to cut our lawn irrigation piping which ran through the septic area. The crew was able to expose both ends of the piping for subsequent repair. Extremely happy with the work that was performed. I would also like to compliment the crew for working under extremely hot Weather conditions. I would definitely recommend Certified Cesspool. read more

Having immediate availability and fast response times are very important to me. The crew showed up exactly on time. Having never needed this type of service in the past I wasn't sure what to expect. I have heard finding the tank alone could involve digging massive holes in my yard and become a process. They found the location on the second attempt! They were able to fix the clog and drain the cesspool in under an hour. The yard looks almost untouched, no sprinkler lines were hit or damaged and they cleaned up with no mess. We chose Certified Cesspool over all the other companies because they advertised that they were open 24/7 & they could locate a cesspool. My husband and I bought our home 20 years ago and were never told where our cesspool was located. Of course the day before Thanksgiving and when we have guest coming to stay over, our cesspool acts up. We called Certified Cesspool at 8:00 am and that same morning by 11:00 am, two technicians in two large vehicles showed up. They located the cesspool and called into their company for a small front-loader. Bottom line is that Joe & Kyle were the best and completed the job in a few hours. My first cesspool nightmare was tragic ! i called late last night at 11pm expecting to get an answering machine like the previous "24 hour companies" i had called; but Sal answered on the first ring. He took the time to explain i had a leaking toilet explained to shut the water which stopped the leak until his crew arrived 30 min later! On a Saturday In January 2022, Nick from Certified Cesspool and Drain came to our rescue once again. Having discovered a leak in the basement and noticed that our 1940's era galvanized pipes were corroding, we called for service. Though we were told that Nick would come on Monday morning, a service tech stopped over on Sunday (!) to photograph the problem so Nick would be prepared with anticipated parts. He gave us options regarding repairs and thorough explanations about our choices. In a single long afternoon, with an assist from two colleagues, Nick replaced all of our galvanized pipes and didn't leave until he/we were satisfied that the replacements were perfect. I prepared myself for the absolute worst when I realized we had issues with our cesspool and was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and care that Certified showed in resolving our problem. Knowing we would have trouble finding the location of the cesspool, we decided to wait until Saturday. Service arrived exactly on time, even calling before to let us know they were 15 minutes away. These guys know their $#it!!! Seriously can't believe I'm writing a cesspool company review, but excellent service needs to be recognized and shouted. Sal and the family were quick to arrive and install 2 brand new septic systems at my home. This was not a straightforward job because we were in the process of adding an extension on to our house and we needed to properly size and install the cesspools in awkward locations. I do not usually do this but Hi I just wanted to send in my opinion of this company and I'd hate to write this if it's not the owner doing it but I had a gentleman named Dave or David here about a month ago, and was told I had no choice but to dig up my cesspool with a machine. Told me 2500.00. I said no not at this time. I had another company come here and they dug up the cover by hand it was down maybe 1 foot. I just don't like being taken advantage of and want to make that clear. I'm not looking to use this company in the future but I do want to bring this up to the owners attention because it's not right what your worker did. read more
