Called to get the $69 dryer vent cleaning as my co-op requires one each year. Guy was 35 minutes late and the first thing out of his mouth was that it would cost $200. I told him to leave. He then asked what I would be happy paying. That shows what a complete sham this company is. I said $100 and he called the office and they said $120. OK, make it $120. He had a brush connected to a cable plugged into a cordless drill. It took about 7 minutes to retrieve a golf-ball sized piece of lint. If that was supposed to be worth $200, then what was the $69 cleaning going to get you? I got a receipt for my cc payment but I needed proof of work done to show the co-op. They said they don't know how to do that and I never got one after repeated attempts to do so. read more

Review for Certified Green Team I scheduled an appointment with Certified Green Team for routine dryer vent and chimney cleaning. Setting up the appointment was easy, but the experience quickly went downhill. A few days before my original appointment, the company called to say no technician was available and rescheduled me. My new appointment was between 9-11 a.m. At 10:30 a.m., they called twice, but both calls went straight to "potential spam" and didn't ring on my end. When I noticed the missed calls, I returned them immediately. The representative said the technician would now arrive between 11:30 a.m. Later, I received another call saying that because I hadn't answered earlier, the technician had taken another job and wouldn't arrive until around 12-12:30 p.m. When the technician finally arrived, he was polite but unprofessional in appearance--wearing a ripped T-shirt with no company logo or uniform. I showed him the dryer area first, and after only a few minutes, he moved on to the fireplace. He removed the panels from the doors and said there was no pipe leading to the roof, claiming he'd need to go into the attic. I stopped him and explained that we've had this service done every year for the past five years, and no one has ever needed attic access. He then began talking about "sanitizing" the vent and said he'd have to call his boss for pricing. I told him I was quoted $69 for the dryer vent cleaning and $49 for the chimney cleaning. I made it clear I wasn't interested in any extra services and asked him to put everything back together so I could hire another company. When I asked if the dryer vent had even been cleaned--since I never heard any vacuum running--he ignored the question and asked how I planned to pay. He kept repeating the same pitch about sanitizing the vent until my wife stepped in and told him we only wanted the original services performed. He then said there would be a $3.80 credit card fee, which I was never told about by the office. The invoice he sent by text was vague, listing only "dryer" and "chimney." I told him I needed a detailed invoice for my HOA, so he had to cancel the first one, rewrite it, and resend it. After he left, I checked the laundry area and found the dryer vent was not reconnected. I caught him before he drove off, and he came back in to fix it while I watched. Overall, this experience was unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. Between the scheduling issues, the up-selling attempts, poor communication, lack of professionalism, and incomplete work, I will not be using Certified Green Team again and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Was quoted a price of $69. Tech arrived 35 minutes late and was not carrying any tools. He looked at the vent trap, found nothing and said he could run a snake thru the trap to remove any excess-again, no visible clogs. Also, I live alone and hardly use the dryer. Tech said it would be $300 and when I said no he said maybe they could do it cheaper.When asked, he said the $69 quote was for a "blowout". I said do that. Yep. Explained to me that the length of my dryer vent made it extremely difficult if not impossible to clean, that for a 'big job' like this the price would be $450.... Actually, I would not even give this company one star but that was not an option. I called them to clean my dryer vent. After advertising $69 the guy tells me I had so much lint the cost would be $350. I told him to go ahead, biggest mistake. The guy had no idea what he was doing, I saw a small pile of lint and that was it. When I went to use my dryer, it did not go on. He had to come back because he buried the plug. Then the dryer was not working properly, not heating up and lint was flying all over the door. He never pushed the dryer back in place and the floor was a mess. I have been calling and speaking to a woman who keeps telling me someone will call me back but they never have. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had to call an appliance company to come in and fix my dryer and they did an excellent job, pure excellence.
