I thought it was a good visit saw the facility etc. First off I spoke with the service manager not an actual salesmen, part of the issue? When I decided to pull the trigger and order a ShowHauler RV from them, I had a question about a particular chassis and inquired as to how to order what I desired. That is when things went downhill, not sure if it was because I did not wear designer clothes or did not have a Rolex watch when I visited but was basically told to quit wasting our time and if you wanted to go any further give us a $50,000 dollar deposit and then you will get answers. I would understand if I had repeatedly bothered this dealership. I had 1 in person meeting for about 3 hours and 2 email correspondences. And the last phone call. I apologize for bothering you with questions. I guess I did not fit their desired profile, asked too many questions on a roughly $700,000.00 RV. Read other reviews and they were positive so was happy to invest some of my time, maybe it was just not to be with this dealer. Maybe my expectations were just too much. He told me that he couldn't get to work because Power to the brake light wasn't connected. Told him that I could come back next day cause I was on my way to work came in the next day. They put the new bulb in connected the power supply to the lightbulb and then I was expecting just to pay for my inspection, but they charge me $65 to connect the power supply when when I brought in in two days before when he when he told me to get the light, the correct lightbulb form bulb was burnt out so there was power to lightbulb, but they said they did not unconnected the power. They implied that I must've had somebody work on it before which I didn't so I feel like they would not take responsibility for their actions. They're just there to make money off you not to do right by the customer so I will no longer be going there for any kind of car care.

Sometimes you pass, sometimes you fail, but it should always be a lesson to be better. To the moral of this statement.... I was in the market for a newer car, since my current car was about 10 years old, and I felt I deserved an upgrade. I searched around and found a few SUV's that I liked and went on the main Gene Messer website, which paired me with a salesman at their toyota location and we got in touch via email and text. I looked over their inventory and did not see anything I liked but saw one at one of their Sister Dealerships and the salesman told me "If there is a car/truck we have that you want, I can get it." I believed him. So I asked him to try to get that vehicle and I would come in for a test drive. Since this convo happened late Saturday, he said he would call the Sister dealership on Monday morning and have them bring the truck over. Monday comes.....he says he is working on it, but tells me to just come on out anyways and it should be handled by the time I get there. I figured it could not hurt, since I was already in that area, so I go. He sits with me for a few minutes, we make small talk and he keeps trying to show me other vehicles. I turn those down. He proceeds to tell me everything that is bad about my trade in and then gives me a low ball offer. I was not even concerned about my trade in because I had a large down payment. But then tells me the truck I wanted already sold. OK. So I get my keys and leave. I head to another dealership, where they not only give me 2500 more on my trade in, but also found another of the truck wanted with no issue. That salesman did his job and called around until he found it for me. Insanely enough, the original truck I wanted DID NOT ACTUALLY SELL. I had a friend call the dealership where it was and they said they still had it, and asked if my friend wanted to come in for a test drive that day. Nice, so my original salesman lied to my face, clearly did not want to work that day, and basically lost about $80,000+ in sales. How is that you ask? Well, I was seeing how my personal transaction would go, and if I came out happy, I would buy a fleet of about 4 or 5 trucks and a van for my company. Nice one Gene Messer Toyota. So, looks like they failed this test, and lost a potential repeat customer.

Technician some more analysis and said spark plug and ignition coil are fine. Your valve in cylinder 2 is bad. Need to replace engine. Said can't hurt engine anymore so I drove it home and we are in process of replacing engine. Jim Phillips could have run up the bill replacing the spark clog and ignition coil but they did not. Only charged me for the diagnosis. They were highly recommended to me. Glad I came here . Highly recommend them.

Craig gave us a very fair price for our "big issue," and he actually fixed some other minor issues that we'd had with the car for months.
