VanLife Roadtrip with our new exhaust pipe on our OLD 2006 Dodge Sprinter!
    L G.

We bought an old Dodge Sprinter Van and had Juan and the guys do some work on the exhaust and check out the Van before we were to dive it cross-country home. We were far away in Michigan coordinating the work. It felt like we could have been easily talked into unnecessary work and a much bigger bill. The work got done in the timetable we needed. They even let us leave it parked there in the lot until we caught a flight out! Minor miscommunications happened but it was our issue, and these guys are super busy.. so in retrospect, we are thankful for how helpful they were to clarify some details on how to pick up the van on a Sunday when they were closed. Thanks for your great work, your financial honesty and tolerance for all of our special needs that came with this service!

These guys are great. This is the only place I'll bring my truck for service or repairs. Knowledgeable, friendly, and fair.

Edit: The manager made right for curbing the wheel and compensated me for the damage. Thank you for your time My reviews started off amazing, Juan was fantastic with communication, and I enjoyed their service until I realized them messing up, mainly the false finish dates, wasn't a once or twice thing.... One of their employees curbed my rim and didn't tell manager or anyone about it until I called them out on it, they used a napa oil cap (known for messing up 6.0s), kept my truck for WEEKS passed due (not just once, on multiple occasions), found one of their tools hanging out of the bottom of my engine bay, truck came back with a loose wheel(lug nuts not even hand right), how does someone do an alignment when the wheel isn't even attached to the hub? do I need to say more? if you wanna get over booked, go ahead and go here

Bought a 1997 F150 Lariet a couple years back and CSC was the first place I brought it. As mentioned by the other reviewers - Juan is awesome. Both in customer service and communications. That being said the actual work is the issue. The amount of re-work and botched work is why I am giving this review today. Originally had the distributor looked at the the work involved there was pretty significant, however after the "complete overhaul" it continued to misfire. Why the plugs and wires were not replaced. Originally I was going to be charged for this "fix" however had to work with Juan to show that this actually was part of the original repair and was not charged. The final straw was today. In addition to the work around the distributor, I had the power window switch, power seat switch and shocks replaced. The window continued to have glitches. Because this is a work truck I just overlooked it as I could not be fussed to bring it back once again. So why this review today? Today I brought my Truck to another shop for brake work in Escondido as was asked if "I forgot to put the left front shock mounting bolt in. Because it was missing or fell off". Whether it was not put on right or not put on at all, this is a huge safety issue, and these shocks were not touch since CSC did the "repair". Because of all of these events leading to finding this information out, -- enough is enough and giving this review, as this become and issue of safety not just a miss around attention to detail.

1974 deTomaso Pantera GTS now running the best it has every run in 15 years of ownership. Thanks Josh!

More than just a place for routine maintenance on my daily drivers (which they have done for years), CSC is the place I trust with my very rare 1974 deTomaso Pantera GTS. In addition to tracking down electrical Gremlins, they have spent time on the phone with the engineers that designed the fuel injection system I wanted installed to figure out why it wasn't working properly, as well as working on the 70's era road racing brake system that parts are not produced for anymore. When I got called out of town and the car was in the shop this last time, Josh personally (and very carefully) drove the Pantera home and put it in the garage so it would be waiting for me when I returned, even though I live out of town. (My wife doesn't drive stick) I took the Pantera out last night for a quick drive and it is running the best it has EVER run in the 15 years I have owned it. Josh and his crew are an amazing resource and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

This place is a joke! Hear me out and save yourself quality time, money and the hassle…read more (You will be coming back more than 3x for EACH occasion because of unfinished work, trust me..) This is not the same place it was 2 years ago! I never thought I would have to re-consider my review for this place. Initially, I first came here in 2018 for an alignment on my truck. ONLY reason why I came back and continued to be a returning customer, not because my alignment went out of place (Steering wheel almost in a full left turn steer to be able to drive straight!) as soon as I got on the freeway from this shop after having a 4 wheel alignment done! I called since it was close to closing and Raul offered to check it out for free the next day. Found out, a bolt was loose! Fixed and sent me on my way! FYI, printer has not worked for 2 years or more and they will not show you the before & after. I asked and they sent me a picture through text . Yeah.. not legit. On another note. Zeke was the man and straight forward! No bs, no games, just there to do work! Unfortunately, he's not there no more. He was very transparent with his customers! Anyways, cool I can trust these guys since they fixed it for free Fast forward to 2020, I had 3 cars dropped off ever since 2018 and within those two years, I kid you not, I did 8-10 RETURNED visits! I finally gave up after the new employee and Raul wanted to play stupid with me within these past few weeks! Let me share one of my experiences. First and foremost, these guys don't know what they're doing and are just taking in what they can to give themselves work (especially during COVID-19) and when they do take work, oh man, they take their sweeeeeet time. First and foremost, out of all my 8-10 returned visits to this shop for separate occasions since 2018, alignment, sensor install/programming, unfinished maintenance work, the job was never fully complete! You think this is nothing? Well I am just glad I never had engine builds/costly work down here. I can't event imagine! I am all for supporting small/local businesses, but people running a business thinking they know what they are doing, not being transparent that they really don't have the "know-how's," and not understanding that time is much more valuable than money, the business will definitely forsee a huge reduction in customer retention and customer loyalty. I like to recommend my peers and networks, I am simply just trying to save you the hassle, nonetheless, your time. Future customers, are you thinking about going here? If you are second guessing, your gut is telling you no!!! Take my advice and my full transparency. I am all about giving back, but the guys at this shop are playing the "milk the clock, delay the time, and kick out the customers 20 minutes before shop closes and let the customers know, if the issue returns, just come back tomorrow" game. There is no tomorrow when you can't even figure out today. 100% would not recommend.

This place has gone down the tubes. DO NOT GO HERE!…read more I brought in my Chevy Cobalt as the check engine light was on. Still hadn't heard back from them by the end of the day, so I had to call them (this will be a recurring theme). They said, among others things, that my spark plugs needed changing. Only I had JUST had them replaced in November (when it was different people). Took him a while (this will ALSO be a recurring theme), but he checked the records and saw that I was telling the truth. The "manager" was a fast talker, constantly talking about how he's doing this and doing that and always keeps his customers in mind. Meanwhile, they kept my car for TWO WEEKS!!!! He said one of the spark plugs was stuck, and he couldn't find the right tool, and this particular thing didn't work and blah, blah, blah. Excuse after excuse after excuse. He also said that he would call me in an hour. Or during lunch. Or at the end of the day. HE NEVER DID! (oh, wait, praise Jesus he did call me back one time). I was constantly having to bug him and be the one to call him. One time I called and the other mechanic put me "on hold" - aka, put the phone down to the side - so I could hear the "manager" helping a customer. It took him 45 minutes to figure out how to work a credit card machine - and it was because the paper was backwards. When the car was "fixed" he then had the audacity to only charge me $198 instead of $220 because the spark plug work had already been done. Gee, thanks. I had my car for all of two miles, when it starts making a horrible noise. I was instantly done with my car and instantly done with Star Auto. I was a loyal customer and they just lost one for life.
