This is probably the best deal on mount Washington. You can hit up Cestones at any time during the day and grab a slice of pizza(it's actually two slices) for only $3. It's fast and convenient and the ladies who work the window are always super nice.

The finance swears he found the best pizza place in Pittsburgh. A small hole-in-the-wall that makes pizzas to order, we got ours for take out and it was piping hot when we picked it up. Greasy, awesome topping ratio, crispy crust that folds over so you can eat it like a NY pizza! We enjoyed the pie and if we were local, I'm sure we would've been back! Great friendly neighborhood pizza joint that serves their pies fresh!

This place slaps so hard. Im obsessed. I've been in Pitt for like a month and I've had it (pizza and sandwiches) like 8 times at least. Pizza. Sandwiches. Prices. All top notch.

    Burnt pizza

Burnt pizza -- all they offered was a free pizza next time. Was told "people do this all the time" Terrible service. This was a first time and last time ordering here.

    Building

No nearby parking, no indoor seating, no hospitality. The calzone was average. Had to ask for silverware and napkins individually.

Consistently good pizza, chicken strips and more for a good price. We're lucky to have Cestone's in Mt. Washington. Thanks!

Cestones is actually my favorite pizza in Pittsburgh. Delicious and fast and cheap. I always get the large cheese.

Great antipasto. Easily enough for 3 people. Pizza is just ok for my taste.

Anyway, tasty crispy pepperoni slice, especially for Pittsburgh, They cut them in half here, so it feels like 2, only they charge you for 1.

Our server (I believe his name was Cody) was genuinely one of the nicest guys ever!! Incredibly amazing energy and super kind to answer and questions or provide recs. We tried the White Sangria and they had a Pina colada both delicious and so refreshing! We have recently tried the Pesto pizza (I sub chicken on top instead) and the brisket mac and cheese which was probably the biggest mac and cheese I have ever seen and super yummy. If you haven't checked it out yet I definitely recommend it to everyone I know!

I tried a black cherry ale that was delicious. My husband got a Vienna lager he enjoyed. He got the black and gold pizza with potatoes, garlic sauce, pepper, res onion parmesan, and provolone. It is fired in their brick oven with a crispy crust. He enjoyed it but it was a little over done and it was hard to distinguish the toppings as the char was heavy. I got the carbonara. It was definitely not traditional. The sauce was very thick and almost floury. They serve it with pork belly, which does not give the same punch of flavor to cut through the sauce as guanchali or bacon. The papardelle noodle were dry and clumpy. The dish was very heavy. Do not recommend. The place is chill. It is close to the theater. I might try it again if in the area.

Every time we come, we have such a good experience. The service and drinks were amazing. Our server was super attentive and made sure we were taken care of the whole night. The pasta was absolutely delectable hahaha. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. The ambience here is really nice too. It can get a little loud, especially on busy weekends, but honestly that is only because the place stays packed and people are enjoying themselves. We personally did not mind the noise level at all because it added to the energy of the restaurant. Overall, this is such a great spot for a date night, but I could also see it being perfect for dinner with family or friends. Definitely one of my favorite places in Market Square.

Our table shared apps like the arancini, zucchini fritti, and calamari. All very good except the calamari, it was just OK. Not much flavor and there were several tough pieces. I ordered the calabrese pizza which had really good flavor. However, the dough was pretty thick and chewy. I confirmed with the waitress if it was neopolitan style and she said yes - but it was poorly executed. I tried someone else's ravioli, and it was pretty blah. Texture could've improved. The flavor of the sauces were lacking. The wine we shared at the table was excellent though. I believe it was the Chianti.

As a new Yorker, it's so very hard to impress me when it comes to Pizza! I'm the pickiest! A true pizza snob! But this place was well worth all the hype! Underrated if you ask me! All of the staff were very friendly, and helped me decide what to try. It definitely gives "family vibes" as soon as you walk in there. It's the definition of a hole in the wall, but I loved it. I live all the way in east Pittsburgh by plum and I drive ALLL the way over to Brookline, through the tunnels and under the bridges and over the bridges and under the tunnels again LOL. Its 100% worth the drive. No other pizza will do. Also the provolone Sticks are to die for. Literally, I almost died. So cheesy! Be warned its a mouth full haha.

There are a few tables if you want to eat in. Place gets super busy. Cell service is pretty non existent, this plays in if you want to tap and pay.
