This has been a horrible experience from start to finish. Put in a 20k order for laminate, carpet and baseboard installation thru Home Depot. They couldn't pick up the order. That delayed it a week. Then the installer didn't have a guy show up. My friend ended up 'helping' for 3 days. The baseboards were the wrong height, and they didn't have people available to install. I'm told that they can't install any taller than 4 1/2 inch baseboards because their saw blades won't cut it and it requires a carpenter. Now the carpet part is delayed a day. I've called multiple times, was promised call backs, and was ghosted. I'm trying to get the house ready to sell. I don't need a "discount." I need to have this professionally installed. Bad whole house carpeted. looks good. Now I have no electricity in both my kids bedrooms and my kitchen is out. company told me it was "Preexisting" and I need to call someone else!! how would I not know 3 rooms were without power? they all worked before install. nobody came to me during install and said they didn't have power in 3 rooms? this don't just happen. I wouldn't pay over 3grand to trick them into fixing my power!! I have cameras and went to pick my kids up as they were finishing up. took about 9hrs. I see on camera they called someone out cause another van showed up for 10-15min and all left. was that to try to fix something? why leave and not tell us? only found out when I came home and kids didn't have power and I couldn't make them dinner. day 3 and nothing from company. steer clear please!!!' nightmare and no help from the organization. seems like out of pocket and lawyers are only way they will face their mistakes. just a nightmare . read more

CFI has installed blinds in a few of my rental properties as well as my own home. Steve is awesome!! His measurements are accurate and his installation is very efficient. I will continue to use them every time I install blinds and shades through Home Depot. read more

I bought carpet from Home Depot who contracted this company to do the install. I needed carpet installed in two bedrooms, a hallway, and two flights of steps. Two guys showed up to do the install - one was named Tyler but I did not catch the other ones name. Both were friendly, courteous, and did the installation in record time. I was a little nervous because of some negative reviews I read, but these guys did a fantastic job. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Avoid Certified Flooring Installation at all cost. Times a million, avoid this company. If you don't avoid this business and take your money elsewhere, your asking for completely incompetent installers showing up at your house, poor customer service, lots of wasted time and headaches. This company is contracted out by Home Depot and hires poorly qualified installers who in my case will first try to talk you out of installing the product you've purchased and then scare you into changing your mind because their installers aren't confident they can do the job of laying your flooring right. In my case a few hours into the installation of my flooring the CFI employee actually asked me to write a note to his boss saying that I was not going to hold him (the installers)responsible for the job he was doing and I was paying for. First, no calls telling me he was on his way. Then when arriving at my house later then scheduled, the CFI employee continually asked me if I was absolutely sure if this was the type of flooring I wanted installed. This questioning for if I was sure of my decision on flooring I had chosen was asked approximately four to five times before the job even began by the CFI employee. After Next up in the installation nightmare CFI brought to my house was the installers asking for me to write him a note to his boss absolving him of responsibilities in doing the poor job that he was hired to do. Then came the final act. Halfway through installation of the downstairs the CFI installer quits in the middle of the job blaming the flooring itself for the gaps he was making while doing the job he was unqualified to do from the start. Saying he couldn't continue and was not satisfied with the job he was doing he left leaving my house a mess. Trash wasn't picked up and materials were left where they were while the CFI employee quickly leaves in his work van. In the end Home Depot was easy to deal with when getting my money back and ripped up and removed the next day any remaining flooring and materials that were left uninstalled. Other than Home Depot contracting out to an unprofessional company like CFI I have had no problems with them. This response of mine is in no way blaming the staff of my local Home Depot for my experience. I'm taking my business and money elsewhere and trying to let everyone know how unprofessional CFI is. Certified Flooring Installation Inc is terrible company for hiring, training and allowing employees like the one I unfortunately got into people's homes. A lot of time was wasted with my unfortunate experience with this company. Your time and money shouldn't be wasted on a company that doesn't care about the quality of it's work or its customers. First off, we ordered flooring and installation through Home Depot, and we were not aware that this service would be contracted out to CFI. We had a lot of olflooring being installed. Kitchen, dining room, living room, hallway, and a bathroom. Installation was scheduled for a Friday. Two young men show up 4.5 hours late. My husband and I had taken off work to have this done. We had moved all of our furniture to the backyard to give them room to work. Anyway, they show up late, tell us we owe an additional $500 to level the bathroom floor. Ok, whatever. I want the job done right, so we were fine paying that. Then they start ripping up the dining room flooring & one of they guys tells my husband he saw a cockroach(he didn't actually see a cockroach). My husband just laughed it off and says maybe it was a waterbug but not a roach. They continued, and my husband had to leave for a few. Once he left, the other guy came to get me and told me that the one guy saw a roach and they couldn't finish the job if there's bugs. Excuse me? There are no bugs. All the underlayment is up, and if there was a roach problem, you'd see evidence. Then he said they can't even come back until we have the house sprayed. As he was leaving, he said that if I call and complain, they'll probably send someone else out. Sounds like he's done this before! The truth is though, they came late, saw it was a much bigger job than they wanted to do on a Friday night, and created an excuse to leave. Naturally, I'm livid! I call Home Depot & talk to several people and get nowhere. We talk to their boss at CFI who gets a crew together to work the weekend and they come Sunday. Meanwhile, we had to move everything back inside because it was going to rain that night. Moved everything back out on Saturday night. I'm a night shift worker, and so I couldn't get sleep because flooring is being installed in the whole house. Sunday, a whole crew shows up on time. They get to work. We stay outside to give them space. A few hours go by, husband goes in to use the other bathroom and notices the flooring in the dining room, and the kitchen is wrong. He had walked them through which flooring goes in which room when they got there, and they still installed the wrong color in the wrong room. It had to be pulled up (thank goodness it was floating flooring) and re-done. It was cut for the other rooms now, so they fell 3 pieces short when they finished. They also installed the baseboard in the bathroom and put it where my vanity was going, so that had to be ripped out and replaced to put the vanity in. They had to first find that color flooring and then come back out again to install it. Bottom line, this company is awful, and has shady workers. After all the time we wasted and sleep I lost that weekend, we were only compensated what we paid for the leveling of the bathroom. read more

An absolute nightmare, run 100 MPH away from this company, they do horrible work and do not stand behind their work. I thought by using Home Depot that I would be covered by a bigger company and have someone to fall back on, not a chance. Took 3 months to do a flooring and 2 shower stall installation. Both shower stalls had to be ripped back out because the installer did the job in 6 hours and trust me it looked like a 3rd grader did the job. Now they have ripped out my bathrooms and said they won't finish because "I cant be satisfied" What a bunch of clowns !!!! Waiting on my refund in full !!! read more

Was scheduled for an installation of carpet, after a month wait. The installer came and looked at the two rooms and stated that he was going out to figure out how to lay the carpet. After staying in the van for 15 minutes they left without saying anything. After waiting for them to return for 20-25 minutes I called CFI. I was told that they left because there was to much furniture. I was then told they would call me back. After 2 hours I called and the "new lady" named Tracy said she didn't know about the situation, as I started to explain what had happened she stated that the rooms were not ready, when I tried to explain what happened she stated" I'm not going to argue with you." The whole situation was unprofessional and in my opinion rude. I canceled this order and will not ever use this company again. read more

Home Depot uses this company for what appears to be most of their installs. I just purchased $2,600 worth of carpeting from Home Depot and this company came out to measure. I was not given the proper information about what had to be moved in the 2 rooms where the carpeting was to be laid and as a result, the installers left. They returned 2 weeks later to find the rooms cleaned as instructed. Again, they left the job refusing to pull up the old carpeting saying it was dirty and had some pet stains. Why in the heck to they think I am getting new carpet?? YES, there are some old pet stains from an older dog that is no longer with me. There is nothing wet on the carpeting although they accused me of it being so. Worse company and worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. If you buy from Home Depot PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!! Not even worth one star! read more

Mixed review. Office staff was great. Installer clearly just wanted to get counters in, well or not, and go home. Did not even wipe the dust (or his excess caulk and other sticky materials) off of the counter. I have spots of crap all over the counter that do not come off easily. He also forgot to caulk one sink. Not a good install. read more

Home Depot uses CFI for flooring installations. After an inspector came to look at my project, I was assured all would be well and he knew just what I needed. I was told it might cost more than estimated depending on what they found. Guess what? It took them a lot of time and wasted materials to find out just what was needed.I would think you could figure it out well before finishing the installation!!!! Contracted to have VCT flooring installed and it has been a fiasco. I was told the process would take three days. It will be close to three weeks that I have been unable to conduct business as usual, half of my stuff is in a truck in my parking lot. Floor was installed TWICE. Unreliable. Empty promises. Do not use. They act like they are doing you a favor, doing what you have contracted. No big deal to them that I have not been able to conduct business. Asked for a refund of the $3400 installation fee, I was offered a fraction of that. I was told they would be using the "professionals" for the second installation. What the heck?
