Then they turned out to be less expensive than the other guys as well. They didn't ask me to pay in advance for the paint, and just showed up on the agreed-upon date, made a few minor repairs, then painted the giant big room and left. (it was a 40x17 foot room, painting the walls & ceiling all the same color.) No paint damage anywhere. No complaints from the staff about issues. Just a solid paint job at a reasonable price. We will use them again.

Sergio was flexible as things evolved and handled changes without turning it into a pricing or scheduling issue Communication was solid throughout. He was responsive, straightforward, and easy to work with. No games, no overpromising What stood out most was reliability. His crew showed up every day, worked full days, and stayed collaborative even while we had other work going on in the house (flooring delays, cleaners, etc.). That kind of coordination matters more than people realize Quality of work was good. Clean lines, proper prep, and everything came out the way we expected. Pricing was fair for the amount of work, especially considering how much we added once the job started. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, communicates well, and gets the job done without creating additional headaches, Sergio and his team are a solid choice. Would use them again

I own several properties and have done many construction projects, ranging from pools to kitchen remodels, and often find the process of working with contractors frustrating and, oftentimes, when it's all said and done, unhappy in one way or another. That was absolutely not the experience with the SD Local crew. Chad's quote was super competitive and did not change from start to finish. The process was timely, ended exactly when he said it would, and was right on budget with no surprises. Thank you, Chad and Orlando, for an incredible job

I do…read morenot like heights, so for a portion of our 'great room' job, I reached out a few different painting companies. (There are a lot of companies/contractors out there who try to take advantage of their customers. It was refreshing for me to find a couple who were truly impressive and honest.) I chose Local San Diego Painting. Chad came out last week to review the three turrets which each having 3 rows of rough-wood trim - roughly 12', 14' and 22' from the ground and one turret was over a sunken bar area, so access above was tricky. (The surrounding ceiling is all wood, which we did not want painted.) His estimate was very reasonable and the two man crew did an excellent job. They were both very professional, and nice. They started and finished this job yesterday. They even stayed an extra hour past their normal hours to finish the job. I will not hesitate to use them at this house again and any of my rentals in the future.

***UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE*** This is normally not…read moresomething I would do; however, after the owner decided to attack me personally and tell a boldfaced lie, this response had to be forthcoming. First, he states that he politely tried to decline my business and claims I insinuated that I would leave a bad review if I didn't get my paint upgraded for free--which again is simply a lie! I have the emails and texts from the initial estimate visit with the original quote of $1,700 that followed shortly thereafter and then the corrected one of $1,600 as well, and all the requests for me to approve the job. I never tried to weaponize anything, and the owner knows it; I just asked that you honor what your representative stated about the premium paint. Stating "people like me" was all I needed to hear and was what I suspected this ultimately was about. Which one are you: a racist, a homophobe, or both? But for sure, you are a young, petulant, and weak little boy who lacks professionalism and business ethics. DON'T ATTACK PEOPLE LIKE THIS WHEN YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN THE WRONG ... DO BETTER NEXT TIME AND BE HONEST AS WELL!! ***PLEASE READ *** DECIDED TO SHARE AFTER OWNER DECIDED TO USE PROFANITY TOWARD ME WHEN IT WAS COMPLETELY UNWARRANTED*** Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with PB Painting and the owner, Cameron. During the initial estimate, a representative quoted $1,700, but we explicitly agreed beforehand on a price of $1,600 with premium paint included. When the official quote arrived, the price was incorrectly listed at $1,700; after I pointed this out, they corrected it to the agreed $1,600. However, while dealing with a relentless automated texts and emails asking to approve the quote, I took a closer look at the fine print. I discovered they had specified Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint--which I verified directly with Sherwin-Williams is not their premium tier. It became clear they didn't expect me to check the actual product specs. When I called the owner, Cameron, to address this discrepancy, he casually claimed the job would actually cost more if I wanted the actual premium paint we had already settled on. When I calmly pointed out how unfair and seemingly misleading that was, Cameron abruptly cancelled the job, claiming he didn't want the "stress." When expressed the unexpected blatant unprofessionalism, Cameron escalated to profanity and told me, "F you." When I informed him that I would be sharing my honest experience in a public review, he threatened to sue me. I never raised my voice or swore; I simply expected them to honor their word and basic business ethics. Furthermore; Imagine advertising your business at @homedepot and then using Sherwin Williams Paint. This was actual shocking experience; but do as you wish.

We handled almost everything online -- I simply sent photos of the areas that needed work, discussed the project details, and received a clear, all-inclusive estimate upfront. I had some leftover paint from a previous project, so I was able to provide them with the exact color information ahead of time. They purchased everything in advance, which made the process even smoother and eliminated any surprises with pricing. The work itself was excellent. I had recently replaced my kitchen cabinets, and several sections of the walls had been damaged and needed retexturing. They repaired and retextured those areas beautifully before painting both the walls and ceiling. Everything blended perfectly when the job was finished. They showed up right on time on a Saturday, which I really appreciated because I didn't have to take time off work. Before starting, they carefully laid down and hung drop cloths to protect everything in the kitchen, and they were extremely thorough about cleaning up afterward. The entire project was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, and the finished result looks fantastic. Another thing that stood out to me is that they are a true local company with their own employees. I've had frustrating experiences in the past where companies acted more like middlemen and subcontracted the work out to random handymen. It was refreshing to work with a company that has its own team because you can tell they have much better oversight, communication, and quality control throughout the entire process. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results and would absolutely hire them again for future projects.
