Then they turned out to be less expensive than the other guys as well. They didn't ask me to pay in advance for the paint, and just showed up on the agreed-upon date, made a few minor repairs, then painted the giant big room and left. (it was a 40x17 foot room, painting the walls & ceiling all the same color.) No paint damage anywhere. No complaints from the staff about issues. Just a solid paint job at a reasonable price. I recently hired Torres Custom Painting for an exterior paint job on two units I manage (one of which I live in). One house is an older 1920s wood clapboard and the other a c1960s stucco, both overdue for repainting. Sergio was highly responsive and punctual throughout the entire process, the only painter I contacted to message me and show up on time for the estimate. During the estimate, he was the only one to diagnose and come up with a solution to a problem area and the only one to mention lead paint abatement protocols for older homes in his estimate. He clearly knows his stuff. And his estimate, which included extensive prep work on the wood clapboard home along with extra patching and repair work, was very reasonable. He and his crew arrived early every morning during the job, making good steady progress, completing the entire project within the estimated time. We discovered a lot of water damage/mold/termites and needed to restucco a major portion of our house, which meant that at the end of it all, we needed to repaint our house. Since we had already worked with Sergio previously to paint some rooms and all our ceilings after asbestos abatement, we reached out to Sergio to get our house painted. Sergio was super thorough, receptive of our specific requests like which paint we wanted to use or how many coats we wanted (two). Everyone was super punctual, protected all of our windows and doors, and they were super tidy. They cleaned up after each day of work, which my dad says is the mark of a good contractor :) Most notably, he and his team actually repaired the rotted portions of our fascia before painting them! Many of our neighbors have gotten their houses painted in the past year or two, and none of the other contractors seemed to actually remove the rotted portions and fill them before painting them over. Though this seems like a silly thing to be excited about, after all of our water damage issues, we were happy to have one less area of our house to worry about. I met with Sergio to discuss painting the exterior of 99-year old Craftsman home that we purchased. The siding was peeling and there were cracks or holes here and there. The fascia needed replacement. I wanted to use a painter who knew how to treat a historic property in terms of the old paint (likely lead- based), the building (wood, so pre-treat with care), and who, most importantly, would take the time to do the proper prep work (fill in and sand down cracks and holes). Sergio and his team did a fantastic job and fulfilled my expectations! He was very easy to work with and quick to respond when we wanted to add additional jobs (paint fence, paint parts of interior). Exceedingly smooth experience. Sergio responded promptly to my inquiry, came out within a couple days and provided a (free) detailed quote for the exterior within the same day. He noted the prep process included and also had some suggested repairs prior to painting, which I appreciated. Price was competitive and his communications set himself apart from the others that I had contacted. We did both color matching Sherwin Williams paint to a Behr paint sample I had and manual color selection using paint chips. He seems to have a eye for color and design, as we made some color changes between the trim/body that worked out well. Property was kept clean and their work did not interrupt my remote work. Now that it's complete, I am very pleased with the workmanship and colors. My neighbor across the street has already complimented the paint job haha. Sergio did a fantastic job and I can see why people gave him such high marks for his high quality of work and crystal clear communication of his plans, work, schedule, etc. There were some fairly big gashes in the drywall and Sergio used dry wall mud and texturing skills to make it an invisible repair. I was searching for a painter who did quality work at a fair price to paint my new office in a short amount of time and I found him at Torres Custom Painting. Sergio (the owner) answered my call in early July, 2020 and met me at my new office within an hour of calling him! Talk about great customer service! For the free consultation (30-45 minutes), he arrived on time wearing a mask (Covid compliant) and I found him to be very polite, respectful, and knowledgeable about design. I talked to him about wanting darker gray and white horizontal stripes on the larger wall and a lighter shade of gray on the center wall. However, I was undecided if all the remaining walls should be painted light gray or just left white. Sergio suggested painting all the remaining walls light gray and keeping the closet and A/C doors white and he was right. Sergio and his team were able to schedule me within 1 week and it took less than a day to paint my office. All the paint lines were straight and clean with no drip marks or paint on the carpeting. Drama-free experience. I have a craftsman home almost 100 years old. Lots and lots of wood siding, framing and fascia. Last time it was painted was almost 20 years ago so things were in sad shape: Blistering, peeling and missing paint on each and every side. Sergio, the owner, came by and gave me an estimate with options and after getting almost 10 estimates decided to go with Torres because of the price, follow-up and the simple, direct way he approached the project. Where to start. I contacted this guy on a Sunday afternoon while searching for painters. He was prompt in his responses, and very professional to say the least. I explained to him what I was needing, and requested a quote. He came over a few days later, looked at my home and advised he would provide me the quote the next day. I needed to have a ceiling and a wall painted in my family room, and the vaulted ceiling painted in the family room which I would think that most painters would consider to be a very small job. I placed a call to Sergio, came to the house, and he responded promptly with a fair quote. We settled on a date that would be convenient for both of us.
