Jordano and his amaxing team did a beautiful job on my ocean view, 2-story, La Jolla home! They went above and beyond in every way. From helping me figure out how to change our air filters after our construction project was done to taking his personal time to help me sort through gallons of old paint that we no longer need. He even took the old cans with him to throw out in the proper way. They were meticulous about taping around doorways, removing and installing every exterior light... Even putting in new light bulbs when he noticed a few were out! Who does that? His team was courteous and worked quickly and efficiently. We are really happy with the job Jordano and his crew did for us painting the exterior of our house (3700 sq. ft., big back deck and covered front porch). They were VERY diligent about the prep work, which we really, really appreciated. They also did a bunch of wood repair/replacement for us, including roofing a small patch on the "shoulder" of our wood-clad chimney that the original builder/owner had left as just plywood. Because lights had to come off all the exterior walls, Jordano hung new lamps for us that we got as replacements. He was also very patient with my wife's deliberation in getting just the right color. He clearly wanted to be sure the job was done right, looked good, and that we were happy with the results. We felt bad, because this job was during the roughly weekly rains we were getting earlier this year (2017), so his guys would show up, do some work, then have to stay away for a few days when it rained. It made for slow progress, but that was OK for us. We didn't have a deadline we were trying to meet. We called Jordano after using him a few years ago to patch some drywall in several interior walls after a wiring project. We really liked his attention to detail. The patches were really good - I could not even point out today each place that was patched. You can't detect the patches at all. We're looking at doing some interior painting at some point before too long, and will definitely be calling Jordano again. Highly recommended. read more

He did a wonderful job. We hired him for a major job. My mother lived in the house for 30 years and smoked a great deal. It was so noticeable that I couldn't stand being in the house even when she wasn't smoking. They had to remove the "popcorn ceiling" everywhere because it is a large source of smoke smell, something he knew but I didn't. Removing this kind of ceiling is a gross, time consuming and messy, and they had to protect the carpet over the entire house. (Google "popcorn ceiling removal" if you dare. There is a photo of the stuff coming off that makes it look like a very big, thick spider web and I showed it to the Realtor and she recoiled) Then they had to redo the ceiling in some other way. They were familiar with all the different types of pain required, knew how to take off wallpaper, did light fixtures and other things. As we walked around the house for the estimate, he took his time and was incredibly detailed and saw things we had not, such as a little something that needed to be sanded, or what to do about the ceiling in the kitchen to make it look better. I had no idea painters did anything other than prepare the wall and paint. It was an education. Best of all, he knew NOT what to mess with because the amount we would pay would not be returned when a buyer came along. For example, we were going to put heavy primer on all the walls because of the smoke, but he said we only needed it the two areas my mother smoked most. It really helps build trust when someone you're going to buy something from says it's not worth the money. Our Realtor had used them on another job and liked his work. Since my brother and I were paying the bill, we both wanted it too look great, but not use up too much of the money we would get from the sale of the house. He achieved just the right balance. So, the ending to this long story is that the house sold on the FIRST DAY we put it on the market at over the asking price. That's as good as you can get. Additionally, if you are a perfectionist, then HIRE JORDANO... he is extremely detail-oriented. We hired Jordano to paint the inside of our new(to us) home based on the rave reviews on Yelp. We were not disappointed!! We closed escrow on our house in early-mid November, and had a move in date at the end of November. Jordano and his crew were apparently already booked during that date range on another job, but they went above and beyond to show up in the evenings and paint until MIDNIGHT for days at our house to ensure the home was completely painted and ready for us before our planned move in date. They worked seamlessly around some plumbing work we were having done at the same time, and Jordano recommended/utilized an excellent drywall person to fix up the holes left behind by the plumbing work and to patch up some not-so-pretty "DIY" work the previous owner had done on one of the ceilings. The drywall job is excellent. Paint job is also excellent. The house looks like a totally different place now and we love it. Jordano takes a lot of pride in his work and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with his work. He even came over the day after thanksgiving to finish up one of the rooms, and returned weeks later at my request when the fresh paint on some baseboards got chipped as a result of carpeting getting installed in one of the rooms.
