A bit of a hard one, but it was just ok for me. Service, location, speed of drink being ready were are great. I ordered one of my go to drinks which I often get when first trying a new place. Compared to other places, it didn't match up. They offer various levels of sweetness which was a definitely plus. I just found my matcha beverage to be very light in taste, almost watery, but with the sweetness of boba. Layered for a nice presentation which made it photo worthy, but ended there for me. Wouldn't run back here although the menu had lots to offer.

Cha for tea is one of my favorite boba place. Been coming here for a long time since I went to csulb days. I love that they have the samples for you to try. My favorite is the almond milk tea with boba. The boba is fresh and soft. The almond milk tea is so good, the drinks are sweet at full strength with 4 pumps, so i suggest getting maybe 2-3 pumps first.

Went here with a couple friends to sit and catch up and there was a good amount of seating. Service was also pretty quick considering we ordered food and not just drinks. We got two snacks to share and it was a good amount considering we didn't want to be too full Crispy chicken: 5/5 we got medium spice and it was a good amount of spice Cajun sweet potato fries: 3/5 we got medium spice for this also. compared to chicken, i would say it was less spicy and a little more salty We also got a sweet and sour sauce with each app (which was 20 cents each). I thought it was ok but my friend thought it wasn't sweet or sour enough

Great food for price. Crispy chicken with yummy salad and noodles. Also drinks are a must. Great mango green tea with boba. Boba pearl texture is perfect. The sauce costs extra so I don't order it. Chicken still tastes good even without seasoning. Service was great and quick with online ordering. Ambiance is casual-- great for lunch dates, picking up food during work lunch, catching up with friends, etc. Would come again!

Cha has a special place in my heart as it's the first boba I EVER tried when I was 18 and a freshman at CSULB. I was obsessed from my first sip of almond black milk tea. I've since lived in San Diego for 10 years where I tried 20+ other boba shops but always longed for Cha's boba. I moved back to Long Beach this year and I'm ecstatic to live near a Cha For Tea again; it's just as delicious as I remember! I used to only get the ABMT, but I've ventured out and also love the honey green milk tea. The iced mango green tea goes so hard in the summer -- with or without boba! The service is always friendly and efficient. Aside from the drinks being delicious, they're also very CONSISTENT, which is so valuable in a place you get drinks. Not to mention it's a great place to get some homework done -- there's 7 or 8 tables, plus a couple outside. Love you forever, Cha For Tea. I hope I always live near a location so I can be a customer for life.

I haven't been here in like a year and oh how I missed the mango green tea so much. It's all I really get here so if it's your first time here or don't know what to get, I think you should get that. It's also probably their most popular drink for a reason. There's a good amount of tables to sit and it's a nice setting for a boba spot. The service is really good here, my gf and I came in like 20 minutes before closing because we were in the area while they were mopping to close and still served us with no push back. There's also a lot of fundy's from CSULB clubs that happen here so that's cool too and could get packed quick.

Great Tea Shop! In addition to drinks, they serve food! A lot of great drinks on their menu, milk teas and others. I ordered three drinks to go. Matcha Latte with Boba, Passionfruit Refresher with Boba (very refreshing!), and a strawberry smoothie. Ww all.enjoyed our drinks! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks were made very quickly. Definitely will be back!

First time trying this boba shop, recommended by my friend. I always like to try Thai tea at these types of shop as a base line. Unfortunately their Thai tea tasted watered down and not sweet. If it wasn't for the boba it would have been bland. However the crispy chicken with the sweet and sour sauce was delicious. I would definitely go back for the chicken appetizer and maybe try a different drink and hope their other options are a bit better.

Cha for Tea has a special place in my heart. There used to be a location near me, but now I have to make a drive just to have this nostalgic experience. I was in the area and this is my first time visiting this location in Long Beach. I came an hour before closing time and I must say this location is smelly from the parking lot all the way to the entrance. Not sure if it's from wastewater. I tolerated the awful scent, just for Iced apple green tea, Iced almond black milk tea with boba and crispy chicken medium spicy. The flavor is still the same all these years and I can only hope someone will open a location near me again.

I work in the area so I come here a lot. Love their lunch combo and appetizers. Very good price and good portion. My favorite is the crispy chicken. I probably tried everything on the menu: grilled chicken, orange chicken, dumpling, tofu, pork sausage, etc. They were all ok. I like their passionfruit tea (no sugar) and with boba.

This place was busy on a Saturday at 6:15. It was actually the fastest I've ever had a drink come out ever, but it just wasn't good. The boba itself wasn't good and the pudding was even worse. I won't come back if I want a drink. I haven't been to a Cha for tea since college 10 years ago, but it used to be the spot

Very cute small place opposite the VA hospital. Great Boba and tea. Friendly service and decent price. I tried the crispy chicken spicy with rice, noodles and corn. The chicken was quite good, crunchy and tasty.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / June 8, 2023

It's like 2 tables outside of the place on the walkway. Not in a separated area.

Does anyone know if the brown sugar boba tea is vegan friendly if you sub soy milk?

They used to have non dairy two years ago then got rid of it and only have soy and dairy now. (which are both bad for you).

Do they have vegan dishes and drinks?

Steamed tofu or green beans are vegan dishes served with rice, corn, and salad (the salad dressing is not vegan though but you can request not to have it or replace all salad with corn).…

    Do they offer delivery services?

A lot of our customers use Postmates to deliver their favorite boba teas and meals. Since we partner with Postmates, there is only delivery charge and no other service charge. Postmates also runs free delivery promotions all the time. Hope you can…

Do they have boba available when they open?

Yes they have Boba and Aloe Vera. Open at 10:00

I'm a regular at Teatopia and usually get the same thing: taro tea with golden boba and ube foam,…read moreso this experience was really disappointing. A petite Asian woman wearing heavy makeup took my order and immediately seemed unhappy to be there and very dismissive. She told me they were out of golden boba even though I could see other drinks coming out with it, so I settled for crystal boba instead. I understand stores run out of things, but the communication was already off. What really irritated me was the ube foam and the employees unprofessional service. I ordered it and was charged extra for it, but when I got my drink, it wasn't there. When I asked her about it, she told me they were out and then asked, "do you want coconut foam or a refund?" If you already knew you were out, why would you charge me for it in the first place? I wanted the ube foam and golden boba I ordered, not random substitutions after I had already paid. Another woman in a red shirt with curly hair then told us that to fix it, they would have to refund the drink and then have us pay again to reorder it. I understand the employees probably didn't create that system, but it's one of the most unnecessarily complicated refund processes I've dealt with. The store also seems to be out of something pretty often, which I know isn't always the employees' fault. What bothered me most about this entire interaction was the complete lack of accountability. A simple, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have charged you for that since we're out. Let me fix it," would have changed the entire interaction. Instead, she knowingly charged me for something that was unavailable, didn't tell me, gave me the drink without it, and only addressed it because I noticed. Even then, there was no real acknowledgment that she had made a mistake. And despite how frustrating the situation was, I didn't yell at anyone, cause a scene, or blow up on her. I stayed patient and respectful throughout the interaction. I think it's completely reasonable to expect that same level of professionalism in return.

Is Boba Guys a ghost kitchen and maybe I'm just not tapped in??? I've been here quite a few times…read moreover the years and my feelings are still all over the place tbh. I've never had a drink I didn't enjoy but almost every interaction with a worker that I've had here has always been very awkward or strange, my most recent visit being the strangest to date so that's what this review will be about. I was shopping in the area yesterday and really wanted a nice cold tea so I naturally thought to go to Boba guys. They've added a self service kiosk since I've last visited but the group in front of my was currently using it so I decided to wait in line either for a cashier to come to the register (because all of the workers were in the kitchen) or for the group in front to finish. A minute or two passes and a worker peeks her head out from the back and looks at me so I politely wave to gesture that I was waiting and she like ran behind the wall and didn't come to help. This was strange but a little while after the self service register opened so I just went there but another group gets in line behind me now and the girl comes out and stands at the register which is really close to the self serve thing and is trying to gesture the customers over but they're not responding and idk I didn't look over but I could just feel the awkward energy. I finished placing my order and she was still there so I said thank you and she just ignored me again. I'm a bit of a socially awkward person myself so I'm trying to rack my head around that interaction as I wait and on the kiosk it said it would text me when my order was ready, but after some pondering I look up and a drink is sitting on the table and my name was on the receipt so I just took it even though i didn't receive a text or hear them call. It was delicious and refreshing of course I forget the name but it was from the summer seasonal menu. About an hour passes and I am long gone on the way to LA to see my friends, and I get a text on my phone saying that my order at boba guys is ready for pickup? If this is a ghost kitchen I think the notification system needs some work but I think it was maybe an error. To conclude as someone who is also a cashier, I completely understand that it's hard to engage with every customer and some customers just want to get their product and go, but I think treating everyone with an baseline level of kindness and hospitality is really important when it comes to serving the public. Yes the drinks are good but the vibe is kind of wack.

You can request your sweetness level preference; I like sweet so 100% sweetness was perfect. The flavor was pretty good and I liked the squishy-fresh boba. My friends and I ordered a couple of drinks and regretted it badly. Despite being one of the only customers at the store the drinks came out slow because staff were talking to their friends. I wouldn't care for this, but if you can't make the drinks right the first time, then maybe you should focus a little more. It's not that hard to remember cream, when the drink comes with it. The drinks were overly sweet even at the 50% level and still lacked flavor. Their premium tea is masked behind the copious amounts of sugar and not brewed long enough to have a lasting tea flavor. Also, is it normal to have whole tea leaves in the drink? This is the only boba shop that I know does this. Overall miss the prior establishments as they were more consistent and cheaper. Not saying they were good, but in my book they rank higher compared to bunny cha.
