Service: 5/5 very friendly and polite. SUPER HELPFUL. Beverages: 5/5 naturally sweet so you can't adjust but it's a great rich and fresh flavor. I'm a fan of the Lychee. BIG FAN of the Ube with Banana Milk. Be sure to ask for samples! Love the fun and aesthetic arcade and mirror. And cool small pepper chip business inside thats SOOO addicting! Plenty of parking.
We stopped by Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice for lunch and it did not disappoint The customer service was excellent, friendly, fast, and super welcoming The vibe is chill and modern, perfect for a mid day pick me up Their drinks are refreshing, flavorful, and made fresh exactly what you need to brighten up the day. We tried a few different options and each one had its own unique taste that stood out You really can't go wrong with any of them. It paired perfectly with lunch and now this spot has become a go to for us Highly recommend if you're in the area and want great drinks with even better service We'll definitely be back
Sweet Grass is a Cambodian owned sugarcane spot serving up some refreshing and fresh pressed sugarcane drinks in the LB area. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a cool and modern interior with a couple seats. For their menu, they have a wide range of different sugarcane drinks concoctions. Wifey chose the Mango Lassi Sugarcane and I got the Lychee Sugarcane. Both drinks were super refreshing, especially for a hot day. Overall, this spot is a great option for those looking for some fresh sugarcane drinks. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Come support this awesome AAPI-owned business and quench your thirst while you're at it!
Good quality sugarcane drinks. Lots of options to choose from. I tried the coconut sugarcane and lychee sugarcane. Both were sweet and refreshing. Service was super friendly. Prices on higher end but expected. Would have loved more coconut fruit pieces in my large drink. Still solid spot and would return.
Had an amazing experience during our visit, thanks to the kind staff! They have so many sugarcane combinations to choose from, all of the flavors sound delicious. We were able to sample the drinks before ordering, we ended up going with the "Strawberry Cane" which was refreshing and not too sweet! The area was nice and clean, they have crane machines too. Hope to be back soon!
I've been wanting to try this spot and finally took the time to stop by. Guess what, I'm glad I did. Went in with my daughter and we each got our own drink, so we were able to at least try each other's. I like the simplicity of the menu, ambiance, and getting our drinks in a timely matter. I got the piña colada and my daughter got the watermelon. Both drinks were refreshing and it didn't take long to finish :) Staff was friendly and patient, given it was our first time there. Can't wait to try another flavor next time we come in.
This place is so good! Always hits the spot for our sugarcane cravings! Since we were in the area, we had no choice but to stop by and grab a few drinks and tell our friends about it. My husband really loves their durian sugarcane and pandan sugarcane drinks. I, on the other hand, go for the basic stuff like the coconut sugarcane drink. The bits of coconut is always a nice touch to the drink. Cup sizes are always huge and make you happy! The service is good and quick. You order and wait and they're friendly. The vibe is nice too. Always quick in and out when it's not busy. A nice treat! Go check them out!
It's not just the ordinary sugarcane juice. There's a touch of creativity added to it. The dragonfruit cane was not so sweet but fresh.
They were open on New Years Day-- our godsend to help us through NYE recovery with delicious food and drinks. We ordered: * Ube Dream- as an Ube lover, this drink did not disappoint one bit. The cream was rich and full of Ube flavor and mixed very nicely with the refreshing sugarcane juice. 5/5 * Mango Cane- the mango flavor wasn't too pronounced in this drink. We felt like the sugarcane and mango mixed together didn't go very well. 3/5 * Steak n Crack Sauce plate- there was a good amount of steak and rice in this dish! Marinade for the meat was on point and the steak was really tender. The crack sauce was indeed super addicting-- sweet, salty, spicy, sour! Loved this dish. Ate every morsel off the plate. 5/5 * Lemongrass 3 beef skewer plate- came with 3 skewers, rice, and cucumber salad. The meat in this plate was also very flavorful and the marinade was tasty, but the meat wasn't as tender as the crack sauce plate. Delicious nonetheless. 4/5 The staff was friendly and the store was clean and well kept. I'm excited to try the other drink flavors under the "Milk Bar" section because the cream was something special. The meat plates were delicious... Can't go wrong with any of those!

The steak plate with crack sauce for $16 is amazing! I'm so happy it's a permanent offering! 8 oz steak / 50g and delicious! Call ahead so that it's ready when you arrive. For drinks, I enjoy the pandan cane for an herbal flavor or calamansi cane for citrus flavor. They sell 1 gallon sugarcane juice for $50 which is great for parties, and it's delicious and refreshing when you mix it with coconut water.
Wait time over 30 mins for 1 plate of food. Like we got stuff to do. Staff is just hanging around Nobody is going to make the orders ? Save your time, please go somewhere else. "Too Sweet" by Hozier is one of my new favorite songs, and as soon as I took a sip of my drink, I kept singing that song in my head towards the drink until it no longer became sweet. Sweet Grass is a sugarcane juice shop located in Bixby Plaza on the southwest corner of Atlantic and 36th. Not quite Bixby Knolls, but rather, California Heights, though I guess it's close enough that you could call it Bixby Knolls. CVS is the anchor store there, but Sweet Grass is on the opposite end of the plaza, next to Baskin Robbins. In addition to sugarcane juice, Sweet Grass also offers milk tea and iced coffee, but one, the milk tea uses coconut milk, which I'm almost certain I don't like, and two, I thought it'd be a little silly to rate a sugarcane juice spot based solely on their iced coffee. I don't remember the last time I ever had sugarcane juice, so I was more than willing to give it a try, especially since there was a Yelp check-in offer for 15% off your purchase. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted, but it wasn't a very welcoming welcome if that made any sense. They also didn't offer to help when I was standing there trying to decide what drink to get. Not that I was expecting them to, but it would have been appreciated had they done so. They have example cup sizes at the front counter, and the large cup, which should have been 20 oz, looked larger* than what I expected! With the 15% off, the subtotal became less than the price of the medium drink, so it was a pretty good deal! Which drink did I select? The Strawberry Sugarcane. The other flavors seemed pretty exotic, and I wasn't really in a mood to try something that fancy for my first attempt at sugarcane. The wait for my drink was only about a minute, barely enough time for me to take a look around the interior and admire all the decor from 2Pac poetry to a couple of claw machines next to a Mortal Kombat arcade game. They also have plenty of merch, which I'm guessing is for sale, but I didn't bother to ask. The contrast in colors from the top to the bottom of my drink fascinated me. It was red on top, but yellow-green on the bottom. Since I'm not familiar with sugarcane juice, I can't tell if that's the norm? As soon as I took my first sip, I almost want to sing "You're too sweet for me" to the drink. It was waaayyyyyyy too sweet! Like cloyingly sweet that I'm concerned the drink alone would have exceeded my daily recommended intake of sugar. There was plenty enough ice in the drink, but if I am understanding the menu correctly, you have to pay an upcharge to get less ice: 3 quarters for a medium drink and 4 for a large. What?! Who knew such a thing even existed? I definitely wouldn't recommend asking for less ice not just because of the upcharge, but because if you want your drink less sweet, the ice melting over time will help with that. I was planning on visiting multiple different places after that, and there was a period of time when the drink was at the "sweet" (different kind of sweet here lol) spot: not too sweet, but also not unflavored. It was also pretty warm outside, so I was pretty thankful for the large sized cup that kept me company for the entire duration of my afternoon getaway. The drink tasted pretty good at that "sweet" spot, though I suppose the strawberry flavor had dissipated in the time it took for the melting ice to make my drink less sweet. However, I really wish my enjoyment of the drink wouldn't be represented by a concave down parabolic curve with time as the independent variable. Service was pretty much whatever. I doubt the girls were excited to be working that afternoon, though I did see a smile from the crew member who handed me my drink. I noticed at the front door they have a "People Love You on Yelp" letter from Yelp CEO Jeremy S. Sad to say, but I'm not one of those people. However, to each their own, and I'm sure it comes down to an acquired taste for a drink like sugarcane juice. If you've grown up drinking that stuff, you'll certainly like it better than I did. For me, it's a pass. Thanks for giving me a go at sugarcane, but it's just not my cup of tea...or juice, I should say. Hopefully my review won't rescind that prestigious honor. * When I got home, I looked at the bottom of the cup and saw that it was a 32 oz cup that I received. I'm glad I got more than expected, though it does make me wonder if 20 of those oz were juice, and the other 12 oz was ice?

Lots of parking, no wait and very nice staff. Lots of seating inside too. They also sell tasty dried pepper chips here and some sports memorabilia. Calamansi sugarcane was the perfect amount of sugarcane and tangy lime flavor. A reasonable amount of ice too. No complaints and next to the Long Beach airport. read more
Tried this place today and I'm obsessed! I already love sugarcane juice, but I was really impressed by how many flavor options they had. Everything tasted super fresh and naturally sweet without being overwhelming. The standout for me was the pandan, it was so good and really unique. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and the flavors feel well thought out. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe was clean and casual. It was a pretty hot day and I was craving something refreshing so I gave Sweet Grass a try and I'm so glad I did! I got the Calamansi Cane which was the perfect amount of sweet and citrus. I paid $7.50 for a medium which is a very reasonable price for the amount and quality you get. The workers were so sweet and there was no wait surprisingly! I'm a die hard fan of Cococane in OC but I think I have found another great sugarcane place to put on my list. read more

This place took me by surprise. My mom loves sugarcane juice. We have tried so many places. Some places have the sugarcane juicer to make it fresh. Other places, I am not sure where the sugarcane came from, or they would have it sitting there already. Right when I pulled up, my mom was already thinking that these sugarcane juices were probably not as great as the ones we normally get from OC. She was wrong lol They have the sugarcane juicer to make it fresh. The sugarcane looked so good as well. She ordered the watermalone because we saw the juicer after we ordered. I ordered the pandan cane. I tried mine without mixing. I was able to taste just the sugarcane. It was so friggin fresh and sweet. I was amazed. The pandan itself was bitter. Mixing it together made the drink less sweet. My mom enjoyed hers. However, we both agreed that we should have ordered the original. It was just that good lol Returning for sure! CS was great ! I have tried a couple different sugarcane drinks spots but this is the only one I keep going to because it's just better! My favorite is the passion fruit sugarcane and original. I would only get passion fruit during the season so it's not sour! The only issue is that I don't like seeds in my drinks so I would go back home and strain it out. I wish they would offer to strain it but I know it can be time consuming. The staff are always chill and usually don't take long for my drink to be ready. The store is really spacious and cute! read more
Ordered from UberEats and it was still AMAZING. I got the surf and turf plate and Thai tea. All of it was so so so good, which is saying something because I feel like when you're ordering to-go or delivery sometimes the quality is compromised. That is definitely not the case here. Everything was packaged with care and seemed like it was very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality you get. I will absolutely be visiting in person. My best friend and I decided to pick up a few drinks from here to cool down & this place was great! The store itself is very cute and has lots of unique merchandise. The girls helping us were so sweet and offered my friend samples on some flavors she was deciding between. We ordered the passion fruit cane & the lychee, both were delicious!! Sweet Grass is the only place nearby that I know of that sells sugar cane drinks. It's great that it's local, and I don't have to drive to the OC to get my sugarcane drink fix. It's conveniently located in a plaza shared with CVS with plenty of parking. The inside decor is very cute and Instagram worthy. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I couldn't decide between the dragon fruit or pandan and he recommended the dragon fruit drink. They used real dragon fruit and blended it with the sugarcane juice. It's not too sweet (the way I like it) and very refreshing. Help support a small business South Eastern Asian owner and enjoy a refreshing drink at the same time! read more

I've been here before and needed a sugar cane drink, so I swung by here. Now when I come here, there are two reasons: the first is the drink, which has always been great, and the second is for the pepper chips. I got the mint sugar cane drink and it definitely hit the spot. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the drinks here and they continue to impress. Additionally, they sell some pepper chips (which is exactly what it sounds like), if you enjoy some spice and crunch definitely get these. read more
It was so refreshing! Long Beach doesn't have much sugar cane juice spots and this place hits. We came here after a long day at the beach and the pandan cane hitttt! It was so refreshing and not too sweet. The shop was really cool and have a modern hip hop feel. The guy at the front desk was really sweet and gave good recommendations. Sweet Grass has proven to be our favorite sugarcane spot in the local area. + Drinks are delicious; fresh, all natural, and full of flavor + Parking is effortless; Located in a strip mall with CVS, parking is pretty easy to come by + Service, no complaints; order at the counter - staff were happy to share recommendations, top picks, and even some combinations +/- Interior; overall decor is cute but limited seating - more of a grab-and-go All I can say is I'm a huge fan -- generally I'm not big on sweets or things that are overly sweet. However when it comes to sugarcane juice and the signature drinks at Sweet Grass, I'm obsessed! For anybody who hasn't tried before, I will say that sugarcane might be a bit of an acquired taste but once you're hooked, it's one of the most refreshing drinks you can have with that all natural sweetness! This review is not for the drink. But for the owner of the shop. I called a week ago to ask if they sell a gallon or a party size of their sugar cane juice. I spoke to the owner Johnny, and he told me they do. He was very friendly in the phone. So I called yesterday to place an order for a gallon and made it clear that I would like to order it for the Carson location and he even asked me again to make sure he got the right location. So when the time comes. I went to the Carson location today and the workers had no idea what I was talking about and said they never sold party size gallon to this location. They were all confuse. So I called Johnny again and he said he told his Long Beach location regarding that order. But what I was confused is that the Carson workers said they never sold it and don't even have materials for it, then why did he give me wrong information regarding this in the first place. So we drove all the way to the Long Beach location to pick it up because me and my husband felt bad it was going to waste (Which we shouldn't have because we did not do anything wrong). When I got there we just got a sorry but no discount even though we drove all the way to Long Beach and gas is expensive and they can't even give me at least 2 stamp in my stamp card. I just don't think they were that apologetic about this whole situation when they were at the wrong. 5 star for the drink but minus 3 star for the inconvenience. read more
