The crispy Paneer Burger was delicious with a thick fried patty of paneer with lettuce and spicy mayo on a toasted bun. I prefer the Burger over the Wrap. The Paratha tortilla as a bit oily and heavy and the bun is a bit lighter. The Aloo Tikki Bun was simple and tasty with just lettuce and onion tucked in a sesame bun, I recommend opting out of the American cheese. The crispy Veggie Samosa is very tasty and a good size. Kashmiri tea is very prominent in my Kashmiri heritage and family history. Samosas are very prominent in the Punjabi street food culture. I honestly would not recommend the high tea because you can get everything as individual items for probably a lot less than $50. I would not get the kashmiri chai because it was too much milk. The spicy mayo fries are nicely spiced and paired with a very not spicy mayo. I did like the variety in the assortment of sweets such as the Gulab jamun and mango mousse. Honestly though, I'd probably just get things ala carte. Really good tea experience at CHA Street Food. The restaurant is attached to Tysons Mall so the venue is a little small and they don't take reservations. I loved the elements on the tea stand -- a chicken zinger burger, a chicken tikka roll, fries in a spicy mayo, chat papri, kheer, gulab jamun and a mango mousse. We went as a group so we tried all 3 chai options -- our favorite was the Kashmiri pink chai. The house chai came in second. There was actually too much food, so we had leftovers but the price is really reasonable. The downside is the service is for 2 people. They do offer a "mild" version, but then the entire tea service will be prepared that way. They offer a vegetarian version of the service featuring paneer instead of chicken. They have a lot of other menu options too, but I went there specifically for the tea service. It did not disappoint! I will definitely go back. One piece of advice for the restaurant-- find a way to different the teas (different colored pots or some kind of marker on the pot). I ordered the kashmiri pistachio chai tea, the zinger chicken bowl, Mirchi fries, and my friend got the chicken tikka roll with the samosa. My husband and I tried the High Tea experience yesterday and enjoyed it. We ordered the regular version which came with meat items like zinger sliders and chicken tikka rolls. They also had masala fries and samosas. The savory items came in multiples of two but the sweets did not. There were two servings of gulab jamun, but there were two other little desserts that were only one of each. If the high tea experience is for two people you'd expect each person to get one of each item, so that part was a little disappointing because those two other desserts - a mango lassi like mousse and kheer - were quite delicious but very tiny to share. As for the tea options, you can choose either regular chai, masala chai or upgrade to Kashmiri chai. We opted for masala chai which was good - just know they do not add sugar so if you are use to it being a little sweet add sugar. Overall, this tea experience was good and a great deal at $45. I'd come back to try the vegetarian option and a different tea. Besides the tea experience itself, the little restaurant is decorated so lively with bright colors. This is my favorite place to grab some Desi yummy food at Tyson's corner mall. I have been going there ever since it's opened to satisfy my cravings buds :) The service is always nice and above and beyond. It's not a big place but always find table if we decide to dine in. All of their menu items are outclass, I never had any problems ever. The spicy may fries were delicious - crispy with a nice sauce Initially we didn't realize the Chaat Papri and Samosa Chaat were separate dishes, but once clarified, the Samosa Chaat stood out with its a samosa base and bold flavors The Paneer Roll (a cheese wrap) and the Aloo Slider (a potato sandwich) were both alright, though I preferred the slider. For dessert, the Mango Mousse was the clear winner-light, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Kashmiri Chai was made with whole milk and had a mild taste, though not my favorite. Cha means Chai, or tea. Given its name, I had to try their house chai. I was so excited to have it since I thought this place would be legit. I've grown up having chai my whole life, can make it, and have tried many different, but tasty variations. But, this place was terrible, sad to say. It didn't taste fresh- it tasted like batches just sit there all day. It had no cardamom flavor to me like it claimed- it just tasted burnt, overly bitter, and unpleasant no matter how many sugar packets were added. The bathroom also wasn't that well maintained either. But, cute seating area. It's just a shame since I brought someone here to try this style chai for the first time. That person also has food allergies and they put some biscuit on top of their chai cup- kind gesture, but they did this even though my friend said they had food allergies before even ordering. When my friend went back and asked for a different batch, they just removed the biscuit and gave them the same chai back. For someone with allergies, this wasn't an appropriate or a good reaction. I came here on mid afternoon where there was only just me. I wasn't there for too long as I ordered the Zinger Chicken Sandwich & Mirchi Fries and a can of Coke because why not. The Zinger Chicken Sandwich consisted of a piece of Fried Chicken fried well, lettuce, and spicy red mayo sauce. It wasn't spicy biting into it but it was a delicious crunch when I was able to taste everything all at once. The Mirchi Fries were interesting as the dry seasoning that's coated all over them did have a small kick but it bring out more flavor when biting into one. I really did enjoy these a lot and would order again if I came back. Besides from aesthetics, it's clear of what CHA Street Food wants to be. We went here after a movie and the decor is super cute with the pink and yellow colorful windows. It definitely looks inviting when you walk inside. It's a bit small, and sort of dark. I also liked the paintings of various scenes like kite flying. There's a small fridge area to buy some prepackaged items. This is fast casual so you order at the front and pick up the items when they're ready, and it was fairly quick. We got the iced kashmiri tea which was exactly what I expected, refreshing and sweet chai, with an interesting touch adding nuts inside. I'd be curious to try the kashmiri shake next time. You can request the tea to be hot or cold and specify how much sugar. I was excited to try the gulab jamen but when we got it, there were only 2 of them in there so it's definitely not worth the price so that was pretty disappointing. While out shopping at the mall, we stopped by Cha. To start, there was quite a bit of seating inside as you walk in the restaurant, near the kitchen area, and outside! The weather happened to be nice this particular afternoon so we sat outside. I opted for the Zinger Chicken sandwich, a fried chicken sandwich with lettuce, cheese, and spicy mayo. While the majority of the sandwich tasted very good, they were was a portion that was very tough and hard to eat, I think it may have been an off piece or something, but the portion I was able to eat was very tasty. We also got an order of the spicy mayo fries and 2 samosas. The samosas were delicious with fresh and well seasoned veggies wrapped and fried and to perfection. Now the spicy Mayo fries were the best part of our visit. I was a tad skeptical at first as I usually don't opt for Mayo to pair with my fries, but these are a wonderful exception. The fries were perfect, crispy enough so that they weren't soggy once topped with mayo. And the spicy Mayo was excellent. I would highly recommend both the spicy mayo fries and samosas! My girlfriend ordered the crispy paneer rice bowl which was very tasty. The paneer was well seasoned as was the chickpea/onion mixture in the bowl as well. It also was topped with tomatoes and cucumbers as well as a small bit of spring salad mix. My girlfriend was scrolling and came across CHA Street Food in search. I recognized it as the food truck that was outside of Springfield mall so I figured why not give it a shot. It's located at Tysons 1 so obviously there's a lot of parking it just depends on when you go. Sunday morning wasn't too bad though. The decor of this place is beautiful and very colorful but it isn't too big. The woman running the cashier was super polite and helpful to us. We ordered the Chaat Papri, the Shammi Kabob Burger, the Zinger burger, an iced ginger tea, and an iced Kashmiri tea. We got a pager and decided to sit around the corner in their street seating area which almost looked like we were outside. Only had to wait about 10 minutes before everything ready. The Chaat Papri tasted really great but it's a little more watery than I'm used to. The Zinger burger is one of the most perfect looking chicken sandwiches I've ever seen. The flavors were also really good and they fried it perfectly. The Kashmiri tea was really unique to me and had a great flavor. Not too sweet either. I had a little of the Shammi Kabob burger and it was an odd texture but the flavors were there. The ginger tea on the other hand wasn't for me. I would absolutely come back here. What a hidden gem! I passed by CHA a few times before, but never ventured in until my friend wanted to check it out. We ordered a couple different things to try. I really enjoyed the crispy paneer roll, but it could've used a bit more sauce. The mirchi fries were decent. I wasn't a huge fan of the drinks that we ordered. The location is pretty small so there isn't a whole lot of seating. The food is made fairly quickly and it's great for a quick bite while you're strolling the mall. Food was so flavorful! I like the innovative/modern touch on traditional flavors. I will say that the food is a bit pricey, especially considering its location in the mall. The rice was very bland, and there was a lot of water at the bottom from the veggie accompaniments that come with it. But the chickpeas were really good ~Samosa Chaat (3.5/5): really good when you get the perfect bite. Also a bit watery, but flavors were good. We first ran into this place last year when it had just opened. Had a chat with the owner, who was super nice. At that time, this was hard to find. It was hidden behind Cava. Today, it's hard to miss it. They gave huge marketing posters facing the street and parking lot. It's opposite Michael Korrs and the Apple Store in Tyson's Mall. Lots of great options are available.
