Nice coffee shop with some creative drink selections. They have lots of syrups and I chose cardamom and rose, a combo I've liked a lot. I found the latte ok but a bit bitter for the espresso. Very cute, cozy spot. The best part is the parking right in front of the café, which is rare in Tysons, so getting in and out is easy. The staff is friendly and quick. I had the karak chai with less sugar and the za'atar and cheese pide (half and half). The pide was great. The dough tasted fresh and had a nice texture. The chai was a letdown, though. It seemed like it was made in a machine instead of the traditional way. Other local places make it better. I'd come back to try their coffee next time. read more

I loved this place! I had an egg and cheese pide (for the first time) and it was so, so good. It was served fresh, tasted great, and was fun to eat. The service was super friendly as well - I was welcomed immediately upon entering and felt comfy hanging out for a bit even after I'd finished eating. The cozy couches were also a nice touch! The only downsides were a) the location: it's on the ground floor of an office building, which affects the vibe a bit, and b) the plants are sadly all fake: obviously not a huge deal, but ya knooow. **This establishment is inside an office building in McLean** Another cafe in the NoVA area to try out! Did not realize it was a Turkish cafe. I love Turkish coffee so definitely wanted to try theirs. They made the Turkish coffee in a sand heater, which was very interested. Never seen that before. The aesthetics is pretty minimal - not too many plants as I thought there would be since it's called "Hanging Gardens". They have a lot of various Turkish pastries and food. We got their pida (not pictured) and it has a very soft crust, more soft than a regular American style pizza. The waiter who brought out our food and drinks was superb and cleaned our dirty table. My partner got their latte but it did not have much flavor. Highly recommend to try out and I would come back to try their Turkish sweets! read more

Friendly staff and great ambiance. I came here to get some work done. The music is at a medium level so if you need a quiet space this place probably isn't the best for you unless you put some headphones in. The music actually helped me to concentrate though. Pistachio oat milk latte: I didn't taste pistachio at all. The oat milk wasn't as creamy as I'm use to. Overall, I would skip on this coffee. Dubai strawberry chocolate: pretty pricy. Not a lot of pistachio cream with the philo crunch. The chocolate wasn't melted and came in big chunks. I expected a little more but I'm still glad I tried this. Located in the back of all the office spaces, you'll find a cute cafe. I went after my doctors visit to get lunch, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw this pop up at Yelp. The iced pistachio latte is okay--I think it would be better hot. The pide was also good but could use more meat--however, for this price, that is a steal! I really wanted to try their baked goodies--they all looked so good! It is great that their prices are so good and the decor and the cafe itself makes more a lovely little date or study shop. I will say that their golden utensils are super cute as well as the teapots they have up at the front! I love the gold accent and it gives a subtly elegant vibe. We recently stopped in to The Hanging Gardens for a midafternoon coffee break. The space itself can be a little tricky to find as it is around the back of an office building. Once you find it, there is plenty of parking. There is also plenty of space inside to sit and relax. Though it took me a while to locate a menu for the food (they are on a back counter as you stand and look at the register - or at least they were that day) we could see many of the offerings in the glass cases. We decided on a baklava and one cold and one hot drink. The baklava was tasty. The only problem was the utensil it was served with was a little spoon with a super pointy end. I found it hard to use without spearing myself so I just picked up the dessert and ate it that way. I try to be civilized, but, dessert is dessert... The cold drink we ordered was a banana & peanut butter smoothie which was fine. We thought it was a fun combination to try. For a hot drink, I ordered a mocha but what I received was a macchiato. I didn't want to make a fuss and send it back so it was fine but I missed what I had ordered. The service was very friendly and welcoming even though they didn't get the order correct. The space is airy and comfortable. There are a lot of food offerings both savory and sweet. read more

Such a cute little spot! The desserts are really good quality. I got a pistachio iced americano which wasn't my favorite because it tasted pretty flavorless, like it didn't have enough espresso shots in it and not enough syrup pumps. But it might have been just because of the barista that was working at the time, I originally asked for iced but she made it hot and I felt bad that I had to make her remake it because she seemed a little annoyed. I thought it was a little overpriced for the tiny cup size too but I will try a different drink out next time. The decor is really nice though and so was the manager when I walked in! They did have a pastry spread, but I found it a bit confusing and while some of them look nice some of the ingredients were not vegetarian (although one appreciates clear labeling in this regard). However, I was quite happy with the option to order a falafel sandwich for breakfast either in large or a miniature slider size. The food was quite yummy, but not filling. It's a nice small bite, but don't expect to be full. I really enjoyed the banana avocado milkshake, it was so creamy and I was able to use oat milk as a DF option, which I appreciate. I'd give it a 5/5. The food we got was a 5/5 taste wise but 4/5 for the small portion sizes. The service workers were polite and answered my partners questions diligently. TL;DR: Good food made freshly to order by friendly people. I don't know about the coffee because I don't drink it. Probably more a 4.5 but there's no half stars here. I've come here many times over the past few months and I like that the food doesn't instantly come out. You can tell they make each item to order and that you're getting something fresh rather than re-heated. Seating is fine, but the chairs are bulky with the fixed arm rests and I've seen people struggle to get around them as you can't pull them under the table at all. Early on when they opened I saw a group play musical chairs around a wheelchair user because they couldn't hop over the furniture, but they may have moved things around since then. I take my orders to go. PIDE: Very good, with soft bread that gets a little crispy in the right places. Even after sitting for a few hours because I get distracted, the bread doesn't harden. If it was made in advance and re-heated it would be rock hard by the time I get to it on those occasions. Filling is a good ratio, and though others have said the portions are a bit small I'm always full when I order a pide. SMOOTHIES: I like the ones I like, which is to say when I branched out to one I don't normally order (strawberry) it was too sweet. Probably exactly right for most people. Maybe not sweet enough for a hummingbird. But for me, who likes smoothies not very sweet? It was a bit much. Strawberry banana is where it's at. Perfect. SOUP: I've tried tomato, lentil, and pumpkin soups here. All were fine and what I'd expect from a cafe. Were they made like I do at home? No. Last I checked I didn't own the place and it wasn't my kitchen. Was I disappointed? No. OMELET: In an age where eggs are sparse, you can count on this omelet. MISC STUFF: I think the only thing from here I didn't like was the salad? But I think I ordered the wrong things on it because the fattoush salad was really good when it was offered as a special. This place was really really disappointing. We got the Saturday special which was literally slices of American cheese and mozzarella that looked like it came from a Costco platter, basic orange marmalade, and very small pathetic little dishes of walnuts and olives. I have had spectacular Turkish breakfasts at the gundis kitchen in Chicago, Diyanet center in greenbelt, and in nyc. This looked like an afterschool snack. No presentation no quality ingredients. Omelettes lacked flavor, pide was skimpy on the meet. Charging 1.50 for refills on basic house coffee is just sad. I just hate that feeling of spending a lot of money (our bill was around $70) for a subpar experience at best. Only good thing was the simit. Will not be returning. read more

*Don't believe the reviews* Food: Let me tell you. If you order an avocado toast, you get 3-4 slices of avocado and a toast Period. Coffee: Horrible I ordered a latte, but they gave me a DRY cappuccino, which means 1/3of the cup was foam. Espresso tasted burnt, which also means the barista grounded the beans too fine. Sorry barista, but Honestly, I don't think she knows anything about coffee. Service was okay, but the cashier looked like she didn't care about customers waiting.
