I went on a weekday during lunch so it's possible that they were not fully staffed, but the food did take quite some time to make and at one point, the front counter person left for a bit and we couldn't get to-go boxes or any help. We even looked and tried to call for someone in the kitchen but they didn't hear us. It's possible that they didn't have as many people during the day when it's slower, but I would hope evenings are better since this place is probably busier then. Went here for lunch with a friend to try this new Cafe. Had high hope for this, since it's pretty close to me. And, a new Cafe find is always a great feeling. The Food: I went with the "Butter Chicken Foodles" for my food item and the "Zafran Iced Chai ". The Butter Chicken was very underwhelming. For something so small, it took a long time to come out. And, it lacked a whole bunch of that creamy and rich flavor. And the noodles just felt very bland. The Chai was also a big let down, it was very bland and I had no taste of the Zaffran flavor whatsoever. The whole meal was just not good in my opinion. Especially for the price. The Service: Service was okay. I went during lunch and it was kind of empty. But it did take a little longer than usual for my food and drinks to come out. The staff are friendly here though. The Atmosphere: Nice, clean and modern decor. Very simple with an open concept. Plenty of seating around to just hang and have food/drinks. Overall, a 2/5. I recently had the chance to check out FiLLi in Chantilly, and I'm excited to support this new business in the area! As with any startup, there's always a bit of working through a grand opening, but I really appreciated the effort they've put into fine-tuning their workflow and delivering a great experience. The staff went around speaking to all the customers! Everything was flavorful! Definitely try the Milk Cakes, Samosa Chaat, chai, etc. The room is always packed and is another late night option in the area. A great family- friendly Halal option! Meh! I was really excited to try this desi fusion street food cafe but was mostly disappointed. We got butter chicken rice bowl, dynamite chicken sandwich (a take on zinger), chaat papdi and i got the berry mojito (i had originally gotten the mango but they mistakenly gave me the berry). The butter chicken was the least liked of the lot because it was too saucy and kinda confusing as to the flavors. The dynamite chicken was somewhat in the middle and was neither too good and neither bad. It was a-ok. The chaat papdi was our favorite. Given it wasnt the best chaat papdi but was pretty decent. The berry mojito was just ok, nothing too great. If we go nxt time we'll try smthng different to see if there is anything that is moving taste wise by uptil now, we left unimpressed. read more

Tried several items on the menu and everything was excellent! Smash burger, chicken zinger, chicken tikka flatbread, ramen cup, and ofc the karak Chai with saffron. Common flavor in all the food was desi spices, some dishes were spicy others were just rich and flavor. Chai was sweet and saffron flavor was palpable. I honestly don't know how this can even be called Karak chai. This was an absolute disgrace to what Karak is supposed to be. First off, the texture was completely wrong. Instead of the rich, smooth, well-balanced tea that Karak is known for, this tasted like watered-down milk with random foam floating on top. Karak should have a deep tea flavor with proper strength and aroma, this had none of that. It felt like someone just poured milk over weak tea and hoped for the best. Anyone who actually knows what real Karak chai tastes like would immediately realize this is nowhere close. Karak is meant to be brewed strong, with the tea properly simmered with milk and spices so the flavors develop. This tasted like it skipped every step. I was sadly not impressed. I arrived right when they opened and got an iced chai. I would not get it again, since it wasn't my cup of tea, but it was pretty good. I tried ordering a butter chicken rice bowl, but they said the kitchen wasn't ready and was only serving breakfast items. I asked a different employee when they were serving lunch, and they said only breakfast and flatbreads. I asked when the other items will be available, and they just said later in the day...seems like they are still working out their kinks, but they should work on their organization, customer service, and communication. Because of this, I don't want to come back and be disappointed again as I'm not sure if or when they will offer the full menu. The good - the teas, and the pizza (labeled flatbread on menu but is really pizza). And the manager who was clearly trying his best to push orders out as fast as he could and was correctly in the kitchen most of the time attending to that. Have rarely seen such a hard-working Manager. The not good - those foodles - ie noodle dishes. Too much garlic and just NOT something you would want to come back to, bite after bite in my own opinion. Also the chicken dynamite burger was awful - that crispy chicken was dry and tough with non-existent dynamite sauce. But the fries were good. Not enough to save that dish though. The bad - the speed of orders. Very slow. Went on a Monday evening hoping it would be less crowded. Very wrong. Was packed. The kitchen looks to be under-staffed and waited for over 40 minutes for one flatbread, one burger and noodles. Teas and drinks come out fast though. Suggest you go on a weekday (not Friday) after September once school is back in session (less crowded then hopefully). Maybe by then, the growing pains and speed of service will improve. Get the beverages and drinks which seem good, and the flatbread and fries. Get them to go and eat in the relaxation of home (it's also unnecessarily loud in the place).
